Tiefling Abilities: as the 'love' child of a mortal man and an evil Tanar'ri mother, Cilantro has several quirky, inherent supernatural abilities. Primarily of a planty bent, these abilities mirror her mother's (whoever it may have been) nature, and include these magical powers:

* Resistance to Mundane Attack (s): Cilantro has +2 resistance to any mundane attacks. These are defined as those which are non-magical, non-psionic, or non-deionic in origin, which are most attacks when you get down to it. This has contributed to her survival greatly over the years.

* Regeneration (s): thanks to her innate chlorophyll, Cilantro can quickly recover from damage if exposed to sunlight (or a reasonable simulation of such); in other words, this power has the Solar limitation. She has this power at intensity 5, allowing her to regenerate one card of health frequently.

That is, on a positive aura check, or a neutral aura check which is of a value less than this power's intensity.

Enhanced Senses / Portal Detection (w): born of the planes, Cilantro has been exposed to their curious, not-quite-normal energies for most of her life. As such, she's keenly aware of the doorways between planes, as their energies flow back and forth through these holes in space-time. This power functions at intensity 5.

Plant Form (a): above and beyond a normal tiefling's abilities, Cilantro has demonstrated spectacular powers of personal transformation, allowing her to adopt and simulate all manner of plant-based powers. Some of the abilities she's demonstrated to date include the following:

* Body Armor (s): when she changes into plant matter, Cilantro develops additional resistance to injury; her internal organs are replaced with homogenous plant matter, so individual wounds do less damage to her. She has an extra +2 protection from attack, above and beyond her existing resistances.

* Elongation (a): Cilantro can grow rather long vines from virtually anywhere on her body, shooting them out with up to intensity 10 ability - anywhere within firing (near missile) range - in order to grapple with her normal Strength rank at a significant distance, or to just deliver thorn / poison attacks.

* Man-Trap (s): a rather eerie power, Cilantro can fashion a rather large maw out of her torso, and then draw opponents into it (usually with her vines) to dissolve them, like a Venus fly trap. The caustic juices in her man-trap produce an intensity 10 corrosive attack per exchange of exposure to them.

* Poison (s): Cilantro can emit a variety of plant-based toxins as she sees fit, all of which function at intensity 12, and affect her opponents as a contingent attack (usually after an assault with her vines or thorns). Poisoning requires a poison (strength) action against Cilantro's foes.

* Thorns (s): completely retractable, Cilantro can expose a massive amount of thorns all across her body - even on her elongating vines! She can use these to inflict her Strength +3 in barbed (physical) damage, and are a great delivery mechanism for her poisons.

Equipment:

(none)

Hindrances:

(none)

Skills:

Dimensional Geography (i): Cilantro isn't good with much else besides brute, killing force, but she does know her way around the planes; she found out how various laws of physics change across the multiverse by experiencing such changes firsthand, and makes Intellect actions in this area at a reduced difficulty.

Natural Weapons (s): though she has no practical skill with weapons, Cilantro is quite well-versed in the use of her own, natural implements of pain. Whether she's using her vines or thorns on an opponent, she should do so at one difficulty level lower than is normally required.

Calling:

Demolisher: considering where she came from, it's no surprise that Cilantro is rather destructive in nature. She enjoys breaking things for the simple sake of doing so, and has no problem killing people - life was cheap in the Abyss, and as far as she's concerned, it's still cheap on earth.

Costume:

Cilantro doesn't wear all that much of a costume, when you get down to it; clothes serve only to hamper the use of her powers, and she cares not for the 'decency' that others purport to maintain. However, she has adopted a two piece, chain mail bikini since arriving on earth (if only to shut folks like Normal Man up...).

Personality:

Cilantro is damaged. She was left to fend for herself at birth on the Plain of Infinite Portals, and survived through sheer luck. The value of life is meaningless to her, and killing others to get what she wants is second nature. She only 'plays nice with others' if given a powerful motive to do so.

Real Name: Cilantro (assumed name; she was given none at birth)
Occupation: mercenary
Legal Status: native of the Abyss who fits right in there
Marital Status: single
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: the Tenacious Ten

Height: 6' 3"
Hair: green, and leafy
Eyes: solid, emerald green
Weight: 140 lbs
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Cilantro is humanoid, but oddly plant-like in appearance. Her skin is pea green in coloration, with darker blotches scattered about her body. Her hair appears to be long and grassy, and is in fact grass green in hue, and her eyes are mere pools of an emerald green liquid.

Story:

Cilantro has had a very hard life. Her mother died on the Plain of Infinite Portals, the first layer of the Abyss, when giving birth to her. On the other hand, her father didn't even know that she existed, so the unnamed child was forced to fend for herself from birth in one of the most dangerous places in the multiverse.

Despite the overwhelming odds against her, this young girl managed to survive, and even thrive in these environs. She eventually adopted the name of Cilantro when she realized she had no identity to speak of, having liked the sound of it, and grew to become a potent power broker on the Plains.

Not that she had any real martial prowess, so much as Cilantro was simply incredibly powerful, and seemed to draw a large gang (or small army, depending on how you look at it) to her side as she wandered the Plains. This was not to last, though, for a chance encounter with an astral conduit thrust her off-world.

Forcefully ejected from the Abyss, Cilantro wandered the planes for a time, randomly causing trouble here and there, until her thirtieth birthday. It was then that she was summoned to the earthly plane by Elys, a powerful dragon techno-mage, and forced to do the creature's bidding for a time.

Elys had powerful enemies that needed dealing with, you see, and didn't feel like getting her own hands dirty. As such, she'd assembled a powerful gang of super-humans to handle this threat for her, and Cilantro was simply pressed into service with this so-called Tenacious Ten.

She didn't particularly like them, and she especially hated Elys, but Cilantro simply went along with the flow for awhile, since she didn't really care one way or the other who she killed people for. When presented with Elys enemies at long last, Cilantro was happy to fight, for her opponent was a half-breed like her.

This fellow, a half-dragon known as Magus, returned Cilantro's combative advances in kind, and though she's rather tough, Cilantro fell before his might. He would've slain her, too, but when her minions were defeated, Elys teleported them to safety, in order to make use of them again at a later date.

She was slain shortly thereafter, though, so this never occurred. As such, Cilantro (not to mention the rest of the Tenacious Ten) was released from any obligation to that mighty beast, and was left to wander the earth. What Cilantro will do with herself here is as of yet unknown.

Though it likely isn't anything good for humanity in general...!
