the Agency 13 Database
Hello, everybody. I've made the lastest upgrades to the Agency 13 database, so we all should be able to view our collective files on our subversive opponents now. If not, I'll be able to establish access to the files for each of you in the near future. At any rate, in order to aid your various investigations, I've divided the various folks we're keeping tabs on into convenient categories.
This should be enough to sort out the more obvious secret societies that we've identified so far. However, in case one of these groups starts to drift into another category of behavior, and your fellow agent's classifications no longer make any sense, feel free to access the Worldwide Index below in order to figure out where each file is. Make sure you note where your new files are in the index, as well.
Agency 13: why do we have a file on ourselves, you ask? Well, it'd be silly not to take steps in order to prevent us from going the direction of our targets, so it's only fair that we keep tabs on ourselves, no? In case there's any aspect of the Agency that you feel should be investigated, feel free, and share your findings with everybody. After all, we shouldn't keep secrets from each other, should we?
Aliens: here's where I've catalogued all of the weird... things... that we've encountered in our many investigations. This category of subversives includes extraterrestrials, extraplanars, and wierd terran offshoots that simply can't be quantified as humans. If it's different than the norm, you'll find a description of it in here... unless you've discovered a new one...
Corporations: these are the various companies that we've encountered who are up to no good, or at the very least, are up to something. Most of them have managed to make quite a lot of money while screwing their fellow man, and if we can help it, we're going to put an end to this. Or, at the very least, make their dark policies public knowledge.
Crazies: groups of this type are folks that, as far as we can tell, have no specific motivations for what it is they do, or simply don't fit into the other categories I've established. Some of them are actually groups, and some are just collections of individuals who seem to mirror each others behavior despite the fact that they don't know each other. Creepy, no?
Cults: religious nuts, all of them. Over the last couple of years, we've seen a massive surge in the number of churches and cults to various deific entities, and have even come into direct conflict with at least two so-called gods themselves. These folks hold grudges for centuries, and as such, we should be on guard for reprisals if they catch wind of our investigations of them...
Government Agencies: those groups that fall into this category are those that act with the official sanction of at least one government. Most of these groups are somewhat secretive about their exact nature, or carry on missions whose goals aren't revealed to the public. That is why, of course, we are keeping tabs on them; after all, somebody's got to.
Heroes: despite Agent Deathmonger's assertion that all of these super-folk are up to no good, we've discovered a rare few that are actually trying to help the world, without imposing their agenda upon it. These folks are not necessarily friends or such, but it'd be nice to get a few of them to help out on our more... troublesome missions against our subversive enemies.
Idealists: similar to cultists, idealists are people that cling to a certain idealogy or philosophy, usually violently. These people are just as bad as their religious counterparts, however, as they'll often do just about anything they feel is necessary to spread their ideas around, or to make them more apparent in society, usually by bashing around other groups.
Mercenaries: bounty hunters, guns for hire, and any other thug who has loyalty for only money. Lacking their own group to call a home, or primarily working as long as they're being paid, mercenaries are an untrustworthy lot, and there are more and more of them springing up to give us trouble. Of course, they can always be paid to just go away...
Vigilantes: vigilante organizations are those that feel that they need to protect the world from something, or to change something that they perceive as horribly wrong. Of course, one could try to paint Agency 13 in that light, but we don't resort to assassination, theft, or even terrorism to achieve this goal. We make citizen's arrests, we don't take the law into our own hands.
Villains: outside of any agency or secret society, these are the really dangerous folks, criminals who're out to do whatever it is that they want to, with absolute disregard for the rest of humanity. These lone criminals often use their impressive powers or technology to build or conquer crime syndicates and such, or are simply one step away from being classified as crazies. Be careful around these folk.
Worldwide Index: now, in case you can't find the organization that you're looking for, I've taken the liberty of noting where all of our existing files have been placed, so that you can easily look them up. This, of course, should only be necessary for a short time, as you'll all get used to the new classification system I've devised soon enough.
That's all for now, my friends. Good luck and good hunting!
- Mike 013
