Origin:

Unlike most of her team-mates in the Battle-Axis, Sharon is not possessed of super-human powers. No, she is but a normal human, though one who utilizes a set of 'spider web fluid' weapons of her late husband's design in her adventuring career / quest for vengeance.

Known Powers:

(none)

Equipment:

Web-Shooters:
her trademark gizmos, these devices, built by Sharon's late husband, allow her to fire a blast of 'web fluid'. This allows her the use of the Webcasting power, at Amazing (50) rank, which makes entangling most of her foes rather easy, when you get down to it.

Now, as strong as this web fluid is, Sharon can (and has) used it to swing from building to building, as does a more familiar web-slinger in the modern age, doing so with Remarkable (30) rank. Sharon can cover two areas per turn by using her web-shooters in such a fashion.

Quirks:

(none)

Talents:

Targeting:
while she doesn't seem to possess any other skills of merit (a common occurrence with adventurers in her era), Sharon has nonetheless shown a competent level of skill with her web-shooters. As such, when using these weapons, she should gain a +1 CS to any applicable FEAT rolls.

Contacts:

Before she turned against the country that birthed her, Sharon could rely on a few law enforcement officials, not to mention people she'd helped in the past, for aid. However, after joining up with the evil Battle-Axis, that mob of traitors is likely the only group of people that she can count on for help these days.

Costume:

Sharon's Spider Queen costume included a red mask (with white, one-way lenses over her eyes), a red skirt, a light blue blouse open to show off her navel, a yellow sash, a yellow cape, and yellow boots. Of course, she also wore yellow gloves that had her web-shooters mounted inside.

Personality:

Sharon is generally a good person, though one who has made several very bad mistakes in her life. She believes that the guilty must be punished, and is willing to go to amazing lengths to bring about this state of affairs. She's also one to carry a grudge, being wholly unwilling to bury the hatchet...

Real Name: Sharon Kane
Occupation: adventurer
Legal Status: citizen of the United States with a likely criminal record
Marital Status: widower
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: the Battle-Axis

Height: 5' 7"
Hair: black
Eyes: unrevealed
Weight: 115 lbs
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: none

Story:

Sharon Kane didn't start life out as a costumed adventurer, oh no. She began as nothing else than the humble wife of a rather ingenious inventor, one who had concocted a bizarre 'web fluid' weapon system, one that he planned on selling to the U.S. government; he figured they could use every edge they could get.

Sharon journeyed to Washington, D.C., as her husband was to showcase his wacky new devices to some interested military parties, but neither of them made it to this meeting. This was because, on their way to said meeting, the duo were attacked by Russian secret agents!

This was before Germany attacked that country, mind you. These thugs apparently wanted the man's new weaponry, but when they failed to get it, they killed him in retaliation. Enraged, Sharon took up the devices, and began to hunt down similar evildoers in order to get her own, personal satisfaction.

Days later, the United States became allied with the nation that she hated more than anything else, and this slowly started to wear on Sharon's sense of right and wrong. While fighting her fair share of criminal thugs, Sharon became increasingly discontent with this political state of affairs.

As such, though she should've known better, Sharon was more than receptive to the offer of one Doctor Death, an American (mad) scientist who had joined up with the Nazi party for his own, selfish purposes. Pushing all of her buttons, the evil Doctor convinced Sharon to join their cause, as well.

After all, if the Americans wouldn't deal with Russia, the Germans would. This was enough of a hook for the Doctor to ensure Sharon's cooperation with his scheme to knock California off the West Coast, thus forcing America out of the second World War (allowing Germany to take care of the Russians).

She went along with the plan, which ultimately saw Doctor Death and his cohorts, the so-called Battle-Axis, defeated at the hands of the mighty Invaders - though it was a close thing. Captured at the end of this brou-hah-hah, Sharon was presumably incarcerated for her treasonous crimes.

Using Spider Queen in other stories:

While she likely did time - if she wasn't executed outright - for her crimes, Sharon may not be totally out for the count. For instance, she could get a special deal from the government, regaining her freedom in exchange for performing some highly dangerous mission or another.

This could work rather well, especially considering that the U.S. and Russia didn't remain on good terms, as it were, after the end of World War 2. If such a deal were offered, one that would allow her to throw down against Soviet operatives, you know Sharon would leap at the change for vengeance...
