Dynamo Costume (i): Thomas' principal ability, of course, is his impressive power over electrical energy. Thanks to his costume, he can generate intensity 10 electrical energy, which inflicts like deadly damage per blast. In addition to this impressive ability, Thomas has demonstrated these additional electricity-related powers to date:

* Electrical Manipulation (i): Thomas can also manipulate electrical energies, whether self-generated or not, with intensity 10 skill. This allows him to shape, redirect, or otherwise manipulate the flow of electrical energy, and grants him similar resistance to such energies. He has yet to demonstrate any creative uses with this power, however.

* Electrical Absorption (i): finally, Thomas has the ability to absorb electrical energies into his body, which he can also do with intensity 10 skill. He can use absorbed electricity to augment any of his physical ability scores for a one-shot use, raising said score by the amount of electricity he has absorbed, or he can restore lost Health on a point per point basis.

Acrobatics (a): Thomas has proven to be rather nimble and agile in general. He may make attempts to lower falling damage or avoid attacks at one difficulty level lower than is normally necessary for such actions.

Energy Control (i): though not adept with any weapons, per se, Thomas is highly effective in the use of his electrical generation capabilities. As such, he may attack with his powers, or otherwise use them in battle, at a reduced difficulty.

Calling:

Adventurer: Thomas seems to enjoy the adventuring life, doing his best in a highly public manner to protect his country. Since he couldn't serve in a more anonymous fashion in the military, he's embraced the lifestyle of a high tech super hero!

Costume:

While fighting the forces of evil, Thomas wears a truly distinctive costume. It consists of a primarily magenta body suit, with a white lightning bolt down the chest, coupled with rings on the arms and legs to channel electricity, as well as electric 'bolts' covering his ears.

Personality:

Thomas felt a deep need to help his country in its time of need, even though it rejected him for military service. This is what made him such an easy 'mark' for the Nazi villain Alfie, though Thomas worked hard to make up for inadvertently helping that fiend's plans.

Story:

Little has been revealed regarding the origins of Tommy Lightning, other than the fact that he was deemed unfit to serve in the military for some undisclosed reason. Having a deep need to help defend his country, he was easy pickings for a turncoat named Alfie.

This Nazi spy had concocted a bizarre plot to assassinate the King of England, and needed the use of several heroes with which to distract the Invaders. To this end, he used equipment to give four would-be patriotic heroes super powers, and recruited two others to his cause.

These six compatriots would quickly grow to be known as the Crusaders, and made their public debut whilst the Invaders were out of Britain for a time. Either together or in small groups, they handled all kinds of crises - which the Invaders witnessed.

One of the Crusaders decided he didn't trust Alfie though. Figuring out that Alfie was indeed a Nazi sympathizer, Dyna-Mite was knocked for a loop by the villain, though he managed to warn the Invaders of the fiend's plot... just in the nick of time.

Once those heroes convinced the Crusaders that they were acting as the patsies of a Nazi jerk, they all abandoned the special equipment Alfie used to empower them in the first place. What Thomas will do without his special dynamo costume, however, is unknown.
