Solo Heroes
Not affiliated with any other super hero groups from their day and age, such as the Liberty Legion or the Invaders, the solo heroes of the Vintage Age fought the forces of crime, chaos, and evil all alone. They are the truly brave of their kind, as they didn't fight with backup.
A large portion of these heroes are very obscure characters from the forties, and as such, their entries would've been impossible without the aid of one Jess Nevins, Golden Age guru and all-around cool guy. Heroes dependent on his research are so noted.

the 3xs: Marvel's original super-hero group, the 3Xs were simply three guys that went out and busted up crime - though they did so very, very well. 1X was the detective, 2X was the super-inventor type, and 3X was the bruiser of the trio. Very, very little is known about these three heroes, but they were heroic in intent, and rather good at what they did. While they may have only appeared in one published tale, don't let that fool you - these guys are bundles of heroics just waiting to happen, so give 'em a chance! Comes in Classic and Saga styles! |

the Angel: the original Marvel hero to use this name, Thomas Halloway was a man with a strange background. Of course, he brought experts in various fields there to educate him in most matters, and as such Thomas knows a lot about everything. This makes an adventuring career rather easy, really, and as the high-flying Angel, Thomas has solved countless crimes, stymied innumerable villains, and has had an effect on the Marvel Universe to this very day! Not bad for a non-Invader, eh? Comes in Classic and Saga styles! |

 |
the Black Marvel: though one hundred Black Feet youths were unable to pass the challenges of strength, stamina, and dexterity, Dan Lyons was. Having proved himself to the dying chief, Dan vowed to honor the tenets of goodness, and the chief granted him the costume of the Black Marvel. However, after she was slain by a man believing her to be a witch, Claire was raised anew in Hell, becoming Satan's personal collector of evil souls, a job she enjoyed to no end. Comes in Classic and Saga styles! |

Dakor the Magician: sorcerous detective of the Golden Age, Dakor is a powerful Geomancer that utilized his powers in the capacity of a private eye, working on a global scale to right wrongs and generally do good deeds - for a hefty price, that is. Dakor would solve anybody's mysteries for them, as long as they could pay his price tag and weren't of an inherently evil bent. While the War's most noteworthy hero, the Sub-Mariner, may have dealt with truly world-shaking events with the Invaders, Peter simply handled the small stuff that slipped through that hero's fingers - and did a rather good job of it, when you get down to it! Comes in Classic and Saga styles! |

 |
Flexo the Rubber Man: designed by Doctors Joshua and Joel Williams, this artificial being was created with incredible powers in order to right wrongs world wide. However, he typically waded into battle with the criminal element with a smile on his face, so it was apparent that he truly enjoyed his work. So, at least the Williams Doctors weren't forcing Flexo to do good deeds... Comes in Classic and Saga styles! |
