Powers:

Invisibility (i): thanks to the assassin that tried to kill him, Doctor Cade now has the power of invisibility, at intensity 10. This makes him undetectable by normal vision, though other sensory powers can detect him just fine. Furthermore, Cade has a special power stunt that allows him to make his clothing invisible, as well.

Invulnerability to Fire and Heat Attacks (s): the freak event that granted Doctor Cade his invisibility has also given him complete immunity to any damage, natural or otherwise, caused by fire or extreme heat. He has this power at intensity 10, as does anyone with invulnerability powers, though this intensity is really only for reference.

Limitations:

Limited Power Supply: for some reason, Doctor Cade's invisibility power needs frequent recharging, via his Vibro-Saucer. He can utilize his invisibility for about one hour before needing a 'recharge'. Should he totally drain his power before getting a Vibro-Saucer boost, his ability scores drop to zero until he can get back to that machine.

Equipment:

Vibro-Saucer (i): Doctor Cade has this vibrational energy emitting device at his disposal, which he can use to recharge his invisibility power as is needed. Without it, his power to become invisible will quickly grow useless...

Disintegration Machine (i): this immobile device can be used to disintegrate matter, per the power, at intensity 12 (bound by the immobile limitation). Doctor Cade can use this to dispose of waste materials, or as it turns out, people...

Hindrances:

Frenzied: the good Doctor tends to lose it when faced with conflict, and often falls into killing rages. When this rage overcomes him, he is treated as if he has zero (0) intellect and will fight to the death. He must pass a desperate willpower action to come out of this rage, or to stop himself from hurting allies that try and hold him back.

Skills:

Brawling (s): for a scientist-type, Doctor Cade is rather vicious in a scrap. When he hits a body, he does so intent on hospitalizing his foe. In fact, if he reduces a foe to zero health or cards in unarmed melee combat, he will drop said opponent into a coma.

Chemistry (i): Doctor Cade is a master chemist, and his mixes have granted him, if inadvertently, his invisibility and invulnerability powers. He can easily develop antidotes for poisons, as well as identify chemicals by smell, taste or touch.

Electronics (i): for a man in the forties, Doctor Cade demonstrated simply amazing skill in this area, building disintegrators and the like with vacuum tube technology. He can easily design, build, or repair electronic devices.

Calling:

Idealist, later Vengeance: in the beginning, Doctor Cade simply wanted to use his skills to help people, making the world a better place. Now that he's been forever changed at the hands of greedy criminal scumbags, however, he simply wants to get even with evil folks for simply being evil.

Costume:

Whether or not he's 'on the job' as the Invisible Man, Doctor Cade wears a loose long sleeved, red shirt, baggy red pants, a short red cape, a reddish-brown belt, large brown boots, and of course his signature, dark blue fedora.

Personality:

Doctor Cade wanted nothing other than to help the world, by inventing devices and breakthroughs in science that would make people's lives easier. After the incident where he gained his powers, he used them to battle crime, though he has little regard for the lives of his enemies.

Story:

Doctor Cade is a brilliant scientist. He's a master of electronic and chemical science with a Vision. He ultimately wanted to make the world a better place, doing so by inventing means to make the lives of people easier and more convenient. Unfortunately, this work was never completed.

You see, a consortium of corporate heads were well aware of Cade's work, and they didn't want him to make any progress, as it would put them out of business. These money grubbers sent a 'sneaking assassin' out to put him out of action for good, and the man almost succeeded.

The assassin broke into Doctor Cade's laboratory, and shoved him into a conveniently open blast furnace, though the Doctor knocked lots of his experimental chemicals onto himself on his way in. Instead of being crisped, the Doctor found himself fire proof, and even more, he was invisible!

Stabilizing his invisibility with his Vibro-Saucer, the doctor went after his would-be corporate killers. Smashing his way into their lair, he found his would-be assassin, punched him out, and chucked him out a fourth-floor window. He then descended upon the assassin's masters.

They eventually found out that Doctor Cade was amongst them, at which point one of the consortium members, Mister Sporvan, pulled out a gun. Doctor Cade struggled with Sporvan for the gun, a fight that caused the weapon to go off and kill Sporvan's partner in crime.

At this point, the police conveniently arrived, so Doctor Cade made his exit.

Mister Sporvan then escaped from the police and made for Doctor Cade's lab, where he discovered the Doc's notes about his powers. Figuring out how it worked, he used the Doctor's Vibro-Saucer to render him visible when Cade returned to his lab later.

Beating on the power-depleted man mercilessly, Mister Sporvan almost defeated the good Doctor, until he once again made contact with the Vibro-Saucer, restoring his powers and vigor. Doctor Cade then shoved Sporvan into his disintegrator device, pretty much killing him in the process.

The police, having witnessed this chain of events, simply listed Doctor Cade and Mister Sporvan as missing (since clearly, invisible men don't exist). Now free from the constraints of normal society, Doctor Cade decided to become the Invisible Man, super-secret crime fighter!

As the Invisible Man, Doctor Cade went on to fight many more criminals. One such fiend included Deadpan Louie, a vile grave robber who enjoyed pilfering the resting places of the dead for the jewelry and other valuables interred with their former owners.

Going after Louie, Doctor Cade roughs up his men, forcing the villain to seek him out in his well known laboratory. Overpowering him, Louie's thugs then pitch him in the river, giving Doctor Cade an opportunity to fake his own death. He then lures Deadpan Louie into a trap.

When Louie and his thugs try to rob Doctor Cade's own coffin for its valuable secrets, he springs into action! Dealing with his thugs in short order, Doctor Cade then holds Deadpan Louie at bay until the police arrive, eager to bust the grave robber once and for all.

After this, the good Doctor ran afoul of the murderous Fatty, a thug who had a predilection for young actresses. When his latest prize wound up dead on his ship, he had his goons pitch her over the edge in order to make things appear like a simple suicide.

Of course, the Invisible Man was on the job, and eavesdropped on him and his friends and learned that Fatty was also holding the dead girl's friend as well. Trying to rescue her, Doctor Cade is again overpowered when taking on an entire gang of thugs.

Left to die in a burning garage, the Invisible Man scoffs at his 'fate', being invulnerable to fire. Tracking down Fatty, he wrecks the man's boat, deals with his thugs one at a time, and then blows his ship up - all while saving Mary from her friend's fate in the process.

The rest of Doctor Cade's adventures have yet to be detailed, but it's likely he continued on fighting against evil, occasionally even dealing with it permanently, both before and for the duration of World War II.
