Origin:

Union Jack 2 is a doubly altered altered human, having first gained powers after receiving one of the many super soldier serum variants, and then gaining more after his being exposed to the lightning of Thor, the Norse God of Thunder.

Known Powers:

Electrical Generation:
Brian's second artifical mutation resulted in his receiving this particular power, which allows him to spontaneously generate electricity at Incredible (40) rank, inflicting like Stunning Energy damage with each deadly attack.

Equipment:

.455 Caliber Webley Revolver:
before gaining his electrical powers, Brian carried this six-shooter that had a range of 3 areas and struck for Good (8) Shooting damage. The bullets were silver tipped, the better to hunt vampires with.

Dagger: made from a silvered steel, this dagger is of Excellent (20) material strength, and Brian can use it to inflict Good (10) Edged Attack damage with each strike. Like his Webley, Brian quit carrying this weapon around once he acquired his electrical powers.

Quirks:

(none)

Talents:

Acrobatics:
taught how to fight by his father, the original Union Jack, Brian is exceptionally nimble in his movements. He has the ability to make Dodge, Escape, and Evasion maneuvers as if the appliable ability score were +1 CS in rank.

Martial Arts Types A, B, C, and E: in addition to his acrobatic skills, Brian has learned several fighting styles from his father, skills offering him a +1 CS to unarmed melee and wrestling attacks, a +1 initiative modifier in unarmed combat, and the ability to slam or stun targets regardless of their defense.

Pilot / Air: having been seen flying Namor's jet craft on several occasions, it is assumed that Brian is a competent air pilot, as that craft was years ahead of its time. In other words, he can operate any World War 2 era or eariler aircraft.

Weapon Specialist / Webley Pistol and Silver Dagger: Brian is highly skilled in the use of his two weapons of choice, being a dual weapon specialist in their use. As such, he wields them at +2 CS to his normal ability with these items, and can add a +1 initiative modifier when using them in battle.

Wrestling: in addition to his other combat training, Brian has been schooled in the fine arts of wrestling. Combining this talent with his type C martial arts, Brian may make wrestling maneuvers at his strength score +3 CS, and adds a +1 CS to any damage such moves may inflict.

Contacts:

Union Jack was Britian's version of Captain America, and as such, could call upon most government officials for aid if necessary. He is a member of the Invaders and best friends with Dynamite (the third Destroyer). As such a visible hero, he's likely on good negotiating terms with any other Allied hero.

Costume:

Originally, Brian wore a rather interesting 'union suit'. It consisted of a gray, long-sleeved shirt with a skull drawn on it, gray trunks, a blue belt, red boots and gloves, red and blue striped stretch pants, a red belt, and a full, red head-covering hood with a pale blue face mask.

When he changed his heroic identity to that of Union Jack, however, this changed. Black in color, his costume was adorned with a red and white Union Jack symbol across the chest and back. It also had a mask that fully covered his face, and a hip hostler and knife sheath for his weapons.

Personality:

Brian Falsworth is English patriot and bears his role as Union Jack with great pride and seriousness; he is a shining light in England's dark times. Brian loves his family and goes to great lengths to protect them, which sometimes leads to reckless behavior on his part. He often had difficulty justifying his role as an Invader until he gained his lightning powers.

Story:

Brian Falsworth's childhood is something of a mystery; not much has been written about it. However, though he grew up with his sister Jacqueline and his father, there isn't much mention of his mother at all. Nonetheless, he's a wealthy British socialite that was captured in Germany just before the second World War broke out, and found himself in a prison camp.

Brian wasn't alone, however, for he was in jail with one Professor Eric Schmitt, who had developed yet another variant of the American super-soldier serum, but wasn't cooperating with the Nazi regime. Hoping to keep his creation from the Axis fiends, Schmitt injected his remaining serum into Brian, which promptly transformed him into a nigh-perfect specimen of humanity.

Brian received heightened strength, agility, and intellect as the serum wrought its work on his body. Staging a breakout from the prison, Brian did manage to escape, though Professor Schmitt was killed in the process. Wishing to avenge the man, as well as to strike back at Germany for its evil ways, Brian decided to wreak havoc behind enemy lines.

To this end, he adopted a garish costume, began calling himself the Mighty Destroyer, and perpetrated all manner of mayhem and chaos upon the Nazi regime. He did this for some time, though he eventually came into contact with other Allied heroes when the Invaders were captured by the diabolical (yet dull) Master Man. Brian helped these heroes escape from the fate Hitler had planned for them.

Returning to England after this particularly dangerous caper, Brian then abandoned his Destroyer identity, instead assuming his father's mantle, that of Union Jack. In this role, he fully joined up with the heroic Invaders, using his enhanced physique to fight the Axis scourge from Germany to Japan. Of course, his career changed somewhat after a chance encounter with the God of Thunder.

When Hitler caused the Asgardian god Thor to be summoned to earth, and convinced him that the Invaders were evil, he then attacked the heroes with everything he had, laying waste to the heroic team. During this fight, Brian grasped the deity's enchanted hammer, Mjolnir, and found himself on the receiving end of a potent spark, one that endowed him with electrical powers!

Newly empowered, Brian gleefully fought on against the Nazi scourge throughout the war, either with the Invaders or on his own. He invariably would run into other costumed adventurers on these missions, including the Blazing Skull and the third Destroyer. When the War was finally over, Brian settled down in the family estate, Falsworth Manor, and retired in style.

Using Union Jack in other stories:

Over time, Brian's electrical powers faded, though his inherent vitality remained until a fateful night in 1952, when he was slain in a tragic car accident. Though he is readily available for appearances in any number of vintage age tales, Brian is unlikely to appear in any modern stories, thanks to his being deceased. However, a third Union Jack has appeared in current times...
