Origin:

Jack is the stunted descendant of either two Asgardian frost giants, or a frost giant and a mortal (or even a frost giant and an Asgardian). This bizarre origin is the reason that Jack has the strange, chilling appearance and powers he wields, as well as as his potentially long lifespan.

Known Powers:

Ice Generation:
Jack has the ability to generate intense waves of cold that, when combined with local moisture in the air, allow him to produce large amounts of ice. He can do this with Amazing (50) skill, and can form various constructs out of ice, such as walls, spheres, or cages.

His ice constructs are of Remarkable (30) m.s., and will remain in place for about an hour, unless someone specifically melts them with applied heat. Shields he produces can provide similar protection from physical attack, and can protect himself or up to one cubic area worth of people.

One power stunt Jack has developed involves firing snow or ice at his foes. The snow spray forces a target to make an Intuition FEAT against Amazing intensity in order to see Jack through the cover of snow. The ice sprays can be used to inflict Incredible (40) Blunt or Edged Attack damage.

Cold Generation: Jack, instead of forming ice, can also radiate a wave of cold at a target that inflicts Incredible (40) Energy damage per hit. Furthermore, victims of this attack must pass an Endurance FEAT against the damage taken or be stunned for 1d10 turns - it's that intense!

Energy Sheath / Cold: Jack Frost's body radiates an intense 'field' of cold at all times, and his skin temperature always sits at 32 degrees Fahrenheit. This has no applicable combat effect, but makes him more comfortable when not in an arctic climate - and others touching him somewhat uncomfortable.

Body Resistance: Jack's unearthly flesh is more dense than that of an average human being, and he has an inherent protection from attack. Jack has this power at Excellent (20) rank, which provides him the following resistances to the various attack forms:

* Ex 20 / Ty 6 / Fe 2 / Shift 0 / Shift 0

Longevity: while not immortal, Jack has been portrayed as being very long lived in the past, and often refers to normal people as 'mortals'. As he is believed to be Asgardian in origin, it is likely that Jack has this power, though it is unknown what rank he has it at (and thus, what his eventual lifespan is).

Equipment:

(none)

Quirks:

Alien Customs:
Jack Frost is not from a place easily understood by mere mortals - and his own origin is pretty bizarre, even for your typical supernatural entity. As such, his occasionally odd behavior may cause people to think him rude or strange, though he's really not trying to be.

Dwarfism: it is believed that Jack is the progeny of two unknown frost giants from Asgard. In that place, Jack's diminished size would be a very big disadvantage, but allows him to fit in with normal humans. Of course, it means he is not allowed the use of the frost giants' impressive size factor.

Energy Allergy / Fire and Heat: Jack is vulnerable to any sort of fire or heat attack. In game terms, his resistance to such attacks is -1 CS (reducing the protection listed above to Poor (4)). Additionally, such damage is applied to him as though it were +1 CS in rank as well.

Talents:

Jack is assumed to have several useful skills, but they are as of yet unrevealed. Feel free to give Jack whatever skills may be applicable to your campaign (as long as they make sense, of course).

Contacts:

Very little of Jack's story has been revealed to the world at large, but he has been a stalwart member of the Liberty Legion, and can rely upon his teammates for assistance should he need it. Furthermore, as a member of the Legion, Jack is also a veritable member of the Invaders as well.

Costume:

As did many heroes in his day and age, Jack didn't bother with all that much of a costume - of course his uniform was one that you tended to only see on young side kicks. Namely, it consisted of naught but a deep blue pair of trunks, which contrasted with his gleaming, blue-white skin.

Personality:

Jack Frost comes across as a man with a large ego, having stated dislike for mere mortals on at least one occasion. However, he is a hero at heart, and is willing to put his distaste for others aside for the greater good, going out of his way to protect 'foolish' innocents from harm when need be.

Real Name: unrevealed as of yet
Occupation: adventurer
Legal Status: former criminal record, expunged by the government
Marital Status: single
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: the Liberty Legion, the Invaders

Height: 5'11"
Hair: blue
Eyes: blue-white
Weight: 172 lbs
Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Bluish-white skin that glistens from the glaze of frost that covers it at all times (or the water that collects on it, like a frosty cold glass of pop in mid-summer), and his skin is always at a mere 32 degrees.

Story:

The story of Jack Frost is known to very few men. He is a mystery and/or an enigma, a strange chilled entity that has wandered into the United Stated seeking justice for the death of a human he'd met, a Dr. Forbes. Defeating the killer of his friend, Jack's curiosity was aroused by a strange radio broadcast.

Produced by two supposed proponents of justice, the Patriot and Bucky, Jack decided to heed their call for aid, and answered their summons along with several other heroes, folks that would come to be known as the Liberty Legion! Alongside this group, Jack managed to liberate the Invaders from insidious mind control.

Impressed by these mere mortals, Jack decided to hang around for a time, staying with the team to help it fight various domestic threats to the United States. This prompted the government to expunge his criminal record (a series of misunderstandings and such), allowing him to continue fighting the good fight.

One of the more notable battles the Liberty Legion engaged in was a team-up with a time-traveling Thing, in a brawl versus a veritable Villain Team Up against the heroic Liberty Legion! Of course, a majority of the Legion's other tales have yet to be revealed to this very day, only adding to Jack's mystique.

It is known, however, that he continued on with the Legion for the duration of the war, mostly fighting evil at home, though occasionally battling villainy abroad alongside the Legion's sister team, the mighty Invaders!
