Story: For the most part, Eric Quinn fit the stereotype of the young, hot shot lawyer. He worked out, he wore flashy clothes, and he liked to remind everyone of his occupation at every opportunity. But Eric had a secret, one he kept ever since the White Event changed him. His mind altered by this strange, astronomical phenomenon, Eric discovered that he could separate it from his very body. Furthermore, whenever his roaming consciousness intersected with the body of another person, Eric could simply... take it over, for as long as he wished! It is unknown how long he had these incredible powers, but he grievously abused them after his girlfriend, Kelly, broke up with him. Not only that, she told him that she'd been seeing another man, Hugo, for a month before doing so. This utterly shattered Eric. Insane with grief and raging with jealousy, Eric reached out with his powers, taking control of this Hugo inside Kelly's apartment. Taunting Kelly with Hugo's voice, he then leapt off her balcony to his death, before returning to the safety of his own body. This vicious crime attracted the attention of John Tensen, the so-called Justice Killer, upon his return to New York City. Tracking him down, Justice kicked in his door and assaulted Eric. While Eric tried to fight him off, he was ultimately vaporized by the serial killer. But something happened as he died. While he previously had to relax to wield his powers to project his mind, Eric managed to latch onto Justice as he expired, taking over the paranormal murderer's mind! This lasted until Justice ultimately regained control of his body. While he had lost control, however, Eric was still resident within Justice. The two then got to talking, what with them being stuck together, and Justice explained his mission, and why he killed Eric. While he was furious, Eric couldn't do much about what had been done to him. Seeing his crime replayed to him, however, Eric realized what a horrible thing he had done. Convincing Justice to let him control his body one more time, Eric went to Kelly's apartment to apologize to her. Naturally, this went about as well as one could expect. When Kelly violently reacted to this stranger claiming to be her dead ex-boyfriend, one apologizing for murdering her current boyfriend, she fell off her balcony as well. Thanks to Justice lending him his shields, however, Eric was able to rescue Kelly from a lethal fall. Finally accepting that Eric was speaking to her through this strange man, Kelly wanted to give him a piece of her mind. However, Eric's consciousness faded shortly thereafter, leaving her all alone with Justice... who had nothing more to offer her in her grief. Chronology: Justice # 17.
