Costume:

Captain Brooklyn wears a particularly garish costume, using all the primary colors. It consists of a blue stretch fabric body suit with CAPTAIN BROOKLYN written on the chest, complemented with red leather boots, red trunks, a red mask, a yellow belt, and a yellow cape.

Personality:

Captain Brooklyn constantly speaks like a costumed adventurer from old-timey comic books. Lots and lots of dialog, using words most folks would barely even recognize, and odd turns of speech that make him seem awkwardly written. But it's not just acting 'in character' to him.

Even when no one is around to hear the endless stream of verbiage coming out of his mouth, Captain Brooklyn talks in this fashion. Whether he just feels a hero should communicate in this manner or he's actually bought into his adventuresome identity is as of yet unknown.

Story:

The background of the man known to the world as Captain Brooklyn is mostly a mystery to most mere mortals. However, after either the White Event granted him a super-human physique, on top of his seemingly invincible skin, this all changed for our would-be hero.

Feeling the need to give back to his community, to leave his town a better place than he found it, Captain Brooklyn adopted a costumed identity and began patrolling the borough. At some point after this, he met Captain Manhattan, and the two became good friends.

Both Captains worked together when the need arose, often when some paranormal threat or rampaging gang threatened either one of their boroughs or the city overall. Once the Pitt changed New York's character, after all, people started getting more than a little weird.

Over time, Captain Brooklyn began to catch wind of a criminal paranormal underground of sorts, one that seemed to be operating out of Coney Island. Heading right in to investigate, the Captain wandered into the Boardwalk Baths, where he almost immediately encountered Horny Toad.

Punching the parabnormal in the face, Captain Brooklyn then knocked the man senseless when he retaliated. Moving on, he eventually found the makeshift courtroom of Judge Mental, who was currently trying three members of the National Security Council for... reasons.

Tossing his minions about and scoffing at their attempts to harm him, Captain Brooklyn challenged Judge Mental himself, who sicced his bailiff, Seraph, on him. Unfortunately for the Captain, Seraph's power trumped his own, and Seraph sliced right through his steel-hard skin.

Mortally wounded, the Captain staggered as Seraph collected a grenade from another member of the Forsaken, Dog O' War, and stuffed it in his mouth. When it exploded, it utterly pulverized the Captain's insides, his steel-hard skin containing the blast in an obscene fashion.

Judge Mental then had Dog O' War and Fireballer bury the Captain's remains up on the beach, but they were interrupted by the timely arrival of John and Angela Tensen. Looking for their NSC compatriots, they readily took the two members of the Forsaken apart.

Though they obviously couldn't help Captain Brooklyn, what with him being very deceased, Angela reached out with her unique parability and spoke with his corpse. Before finally releasing him, she learned what had happened to him, and where her friends were currently being held.

And that was the Captain, being helpful to the very end!
