Minor Paranormals

Most of the significant individuals that interacted with Justice, or whose fate at least revolved around his actions, revealed enough about themselves to describe them in full. Several of these people, however, lacked enough details to completely document them for use elsewhere. Paranormals that fit this bill, and who aren't members of the Forsaken, are partially described here.

Note that there are a plethora of voids where these characters are concerned. This doesn't mean that these individuals lack the qualities indicated, so much as there isn't enough information about them one way or another to fully describe their capabilites and resources. As always, feel free to fill in the blanks as you see fit for use within your own games.

6x 4x 3x 4x

Hand Size: 3 (17)
Edge: 1

Origin:

One out of every five hundred thousand humans resident on earth when the White Event occurred were granted posthuman abilities by its paradoxical energies. Greg Gardner is one such individual, who manifested the power to generate flames from his body at will!

Powers:

Fire Generation (a): Greg's singular parability is his power to generate intense flames from his very body! Seemingly focused through his hands, Greg can project flames of up to intensity 12 in power, inflicting like SD energy damage with each deadly assault.

Resistance to Fire and Heat (s): while he isn't invulnerable to these energies, Greg has considerable resistance to them. He can withstand intensity 12, or +3, amounts of either before suffering any damage, which usually immunizes him from the effects of his own flames.

Hindrances / Augmentations:

(none)

Equipment:

(none)

Quirks:

(none)

Skills:

Contacts:

Greg uses his parability to facilitate a career as an arsonist, which means he likely knows various underworld figures. Greg presumably has at least two different criminal contacts, one being a potential repeat customer, and another being someone who forwards work his way.

Costume:

For the most part, Greg wears conventional clothing while going about his business, whether ordinary or criminal in nature. Of course, he's rarely seen in the same clothes twice, as he often needs to destroy his current ensemble to avoid it become evidence of some kind.

Personality:

An amoral monster, Greg is the kind of guy who will do anything to get what he wants, no matter who he has to hurt in the process of doing so. Motivated solely by material pursuits, Greg will happily destroy people, places, or things for money or other, less savory promises.

Mr. Pippin

Strength Agility Intellect Willpower
6x 4x 4x 6d

Hand Size: 3 (17)
Edge: 1

Origin:

Like the vast majority of the super-powered individuals walking his world, Mr. Pippin is a paranormal, a formerly normal person who was granted powers as a consequence of the White Event. Though outwardly normal, he has the power to spin his body at reckless speeds!

Powers:

Gyration (a): his unique parability allows Mr. Pippin to spin his body unnaturally fast. He can do this with intensity 5 ability, moving at up to sixty miles per hour when doing so. He can also use this power to inflict like damage, but isn't immune to vertigo while spinning.

Hindrances / Augmentations:

(none)

Equipment:

Blades (s): greatly increasing the lethality of his parability, Mr. Pippin has been known to wield knives while gyrating at others. Whether improvised or purchased, these weapons allow him to inflict +2 slashing damage to everyone adjacent to his location.

Quirks:

(none)

Skills:

Military / United States (w): though he was injured while attempting to dodge the Draft, and really doesn't want to serve in the military, Mr. Pippin presumably found his way into the Army. If so, he likely has all the benefits and drawbacks of his new 'career'.

Contacts:

While it might be assumed that Mr. Pippin could consider them a relaible contact, as a likely member of the United States Army, this may not be the case. After all, he's made it clear he wants nothing to do with them, and as such he may be treated as a hostile conscript.

Costume:

Mr. Pippin wore no clothing of his own in his sole appearance, simply dressed in hospital wear - though he was presumably admitted with some clothes. Upon being inducted into the Army, however, he likely had plenty of standard-issue fatigues to wear all day long.

Personality:

Though he's clearly not a pacifist, Mr. Pippin is absolutely against serving in the military, no matter how much the government may insist otherwise. Definitely having a problem with authority figures, he's probably not a good fit for the Army, but try telling the Army that!

Real Name: Mr. Pippin (first name unrevealed)
Occupation: soldier (probably), previous occupation unrevealed
Legal Status: citizen of the United States with a criminal record
Marital Status: unrevealed
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: none

Height: 6' 1"

Lonnie Poole (deceased)

Strength Agility Intellect Willpower
5x 3x 3x 4x

Hand Size: 3 (17)
Edge: 1

Origin:

His life forever changed after the White Event, a bizarre astronomical phenomenon that inundated him with strange, unknowable energies, Lonnie Poole's mind expanded! Now able to exert his will on others, he can readily make them obey his every deviant whim.

Powers:

Mind Control (w): capable of exerting his super-human will on others, Lonnie has intensity 13 mind control. This power is strongly limited, however, in that Lonnie can only subject those of the opposite sex to it; males are completely immune to its influence.

Hindrances / Augmentations:

Fatal Disease: though the specific nature of his fatal plague wasn't made explicit, Lonnie had an incurable and communicable disease. While he was seemingly healthy, the likelihood of his health degrading quickly was quite high with medicine being what it was in the 1980s.

Equipment:

(none)

Quirks:

(none)

Skills:

(none)

Contacts:

(none)

Costume:

As he appeared to be somewhat wealthy, or at the very least well off, Lonnie likely wore expensive and fashionable clothing for the most part. While he had a parability, he wasn't anything resembling a costumed adventurer or criminal, so he didn't bother with any such gear.

Personality:

Lonnie is ruled by his desires, and cheerfully uses his parabilities to coerce women into satisfying them. While this is odious in and of itself, Lonnie doesn't mind sharing whatever disease his vile behavior has given him, because he doesn't care about anyone but himself.

Real Name: Lonnie Poole
Occupation: unrevealed
Legal Status: citizen of the United States with no known criminal record, legally deceased
Marital Status: single
Alias(es), if any: none
Group Affiliation: none

Malcom Stokes (deceased)

Strength Agility Intellect Willpower
6x 4x 3x 4x

Hand Size: 3 (17)
Edge: 1

Origin:

One of the paranormals, Malcom Stokes was forever changed by the White Event when it blasted the world with its paradoxical energies back in 1986. As his power was uniquely suited for clandestine uses, he naturally decided to frame a life of crime around its use.

Powers:

Disguise (a): Lonnie has the ability to immediately alter his appearance at will, resembling anyone he can imagine - whether real or fake. He can do this with intensity 12 ability, and can take on the looks of just about anyone fitting his approximate dimensions.

Hindrances / Augmentations:

Impulsiveness: suffering from a severe identity crisis, Lonnie readily latches onto the latest ideas that he thinks will help him develop a personality he is comfortable with. Lonnie is at Willpower zero (0) to resist such urges, should he feel the desire to for any reason.

Equipment:

(none)

Skills:

(none)

Contacts:

(none)

Costume:

Having only recently come into money, Malcom doesn't have a lot of expensive clothing to wear around, his outfits generally being assembled from common, cheap components. While he's actively working as a posthuman criminal, Malcom hasn't devised a signature ensemble as of yet.

Personality:

Having long suffered from an extreme identity crisis, long past the time when most folks have sorted such problems out, Malcom has become highly impulsive. He latches onto anything that makes him feel like a real person, and the emergence of his parability hasn't helped him there.

Real Name: Malcom Stokes
