the Forest Fox

The Forest Fox is a relatively small GI Joe vehicle that is a member of its B.T.R. (Built To Rule) equipment family. This means that it can be assembled in one of two different configurations in the field, usually only requiring a few minutes of work, and minimum tools.

Though plan on a hex key being one of them.

The Forest Fox is a forest-colored (green and tan) vehicle that can be configured as either a Jeep ™ or a troop transport, depending on how many Joes you need to move through the woods. It is designed to have these vehicular characteristics in either mode:

Handling
RV 10
Velocity
RV 30
Durability
RV 20
Protection
RV 6

Autocannons: the Forest Fox has four (count 'em) rotary-barreled machine guns. Individually, these guns will inflict rank value 20 Piercing damage in a short burst of ammunition, raised to rank value 30 Piercing damage in a continuous stream of fire.

However, this can be increased. In its Transport mode, the Forest Fox can train two guns on a single target, either through the front or the rear of the vehicle. This increases the net damage inflicted by +1 RS, regardless of which mode of fire is being used.

In its Jeep ™ mode, the Forest Fox has four front-facing autocannons! Two are mounted in the center and two are usable by each occupant of the vehicle. If two guns are trained on a foe, add +1 RS to the damage, and if all four are, increase it by +2 RS!

Body Armor: the Forest Fox is built from durable components, despite being easily reconfigured in the field. The vehicle itself has an effective m.v. of 20 - assuming it is assembled correctly - and offers its occupants a -2 RS Protection rating.

Communications Array: the Forest Fox is equipped with a gigahertz frequency, frequency wobbler clandestine operations radio system, allowing for constant team communications. This provides rank value 10 comm power (a 50 mile range) with rank value 30 signal encryption.

Missile Launchers: the Forest Fox is armed with two missile launchers, in Jeep ™ mode they're both front facing, while in Transport mode there's one pointing forward and one pointing backwards. The projectiles it launches are equipped with these vehicular statistics:

Handling
RV 20
Velocity
RV 50
Durability
RV 20
Damage
RV 30 Slashing (fragmentary)

Passengers: the Forest Fox can carry more than one Joe into battle. In its Jeep ™ mode, it has two front-facing seats, which lets the driver carry a spare Joe with him. In its Transport mode, the Forest Fox has one front and one rear-facing seat.

Shape Change: the primary design feature of all B.T.R. items, the Forest Fox can serve as one of two different vehicles, depending on its operator's needs. With just a few moments of work in the field, said operator can convert it between its Jeep ™ and Transport modes (and back again).
