Origin:
Jhiaxus is a Transformer, a metamorphic robot from the planet Cybertron who's journeyed to earth to aid his master, Megatron, in the execution of his plans here. In addition to being from another world, Jhiaxus may be from another era, or even a variant timeline.
Powers:
Cybertronian Physique: like his fellow Decepticons, Jhiaxus is an electromechanical entity with origins on the planet Cybertronian. The harsh crucible of evolution there has gifted this aerial combatant with a large variety of super-human powers, including:
* Body Armor (s): built (or formed) from primarily metallic materials, Jhiaxus is considerably durable. His sturdy, inorganic composition affords Jhiaxus intensity 4 (+1) protection from attack, enough to make him immune to most basic human assault.
* Growth (a): Cybertronians come in all manner of sizes, few of which align with the human norm. Jhiaxus, for instance, generally stands at eighteen feet tall in his humanoid mode, which grants him this power at intensity 4 as a general matter of course.
As such, the Air Space commander has a +4 size factor. This grants him a +4 bonus to the damage he inflicts on normal sized foes, while theirs suffers a -4 against him. Conversely, he suffers a -4 penalty to strike standard sized enemies in the first place, while they gain a +4 to hit him.
* Microscopic + Telescopic Vision (w): all Transformers can alter their visual sensitivity where distance is concerned. Functioning at intensity 2, these powers let Jhiaxus see objects up to a mile distant with ease, and allow him to read items on microfiche.
* Radio Transceiver (i): as are most Transformers, Jhiaxus is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Cybertronian within a wide radius of his person, having intensity 12 range (10,000 miles).
* Resistance / Invulnerability to Disease and Poison (s): as an inorganic life form, Jhiaxus possesses complete immunity to poisons and organic diseases. He also possesses intensity 30 (+7) resistance to more chemically creative forms of disease.
Flight / Levitation (a): in his vehicle mode, Jhiaxus can fly about at rather high speeds, doing so with intensity 12 ability, or Mach 2. However, he can also levitate in his third, modified humanoid form, his so-called 'hover' mode, doing so with intensity 9 power.
Missile Launchers (i): in all his forms, Jhiaxus can use twin rocket launchers embedded within him; they're on his wrists in humanoid and hover modes, and near his air intakes in his vehicle mode. Either way, the missiles fired by these launchers inflict intensity 13 fragmentary damage.
Shape Change (a): Jhiaxus is a Decepticon with three configurations. His first is an advanced Cybertronian combat jet, his second is his basic humanoid form, and his third is a modified version of his second, a sort of 'hovering sentry' mode. Jhiaxus may transform at will.
Super Flight (a): in addition to his impressive atmospheric speed, Jhiaxus can really open up when he's in space. Possessing this power at intensity 4, he can cross vast tracts of interstellar space in the blink of an eye, reaching anywhere within the galaxy in less than a month.
Hindrances / Augmentations:
(none)
Equipment:
none
Skills:
Aerial Combat (a): it may go without saying, but since his primary function is that of a combat aircraft, Jhiaxus has gotten very, very good at fighting while airborne. As such, he should be allowed a one level difficulty reduction on all combat actions rolled while in the air.
Marksman (a): furthermore, Jhiaxus is likely rather competent in the use of his inherent missile weaponry; this skill extends to the use of various, line-of-sight weaponry like mortars and such. He may use all like weapons at one difficulty level lower than normal.
Contacts:
Although he arrived on earth later than his fellows, Jhiaxus can rely upon Megatron's many minions for assistance should he need it - in particular those possessed of the power of flight. Serving as Megatron's Air Space commander, Jhiaxus is in charge of that villain's aerial operations.
Calling:
Demolisher, with a secondary calling of World Domination: not at all a mindless killing machine, Jhiaxus delights in smashing things up, particularly when they have the unmitigated gall to enter his domain - that being above the ground - without his permission.
He rules the skies with an iron fist!
Likeness:
In his vehicle mode, Jhiaxus appears to be a futuristic, swing-wing aircraft, one of somewhat alien design that is composed of primarily orange, black, and gray metal. In his humanoid and hover modes, however, Jhiaxus looks like a robot built from orange, black, and gray aircraft parts.
Personality:
Arrogant and abrasive, Jhiaxus exults in his role as Megatron's Air Space commander, claiming earth's skies as his own - and all who venture within as his victims. Pulling rank on Megatron's airborne flunkies, Jhiaxus has managed to ruffle both Sky-Byte's and Scourge's feathers.
Though oddly enough, Skyfire and Wind Sheer seem to get along with Jhiaxus just fine.
Real Name: Jhiaxus

Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Jhiaxus is composed of a strong alien metal that is primarily orange in hue, with gray and black trim. Furthermore, in his humanoid and hover modes, his wing surfaces present various protrusions that give him a rather menacing appearance.
Story:
Jhiaxus' origins are an enigma. It is unknown if he is of lingering Vehicon stock or if he was a former Autobot reformatted by Megatron into a Decepticon proper. Regardless, he hails from Cybertron (regardless of his native time frame) and supports Megatron's cause on earth.
An expert in aerial combat, Megatron placed Jhiaxus in command of his Air Space maneuvers, which gives him authority over all of Megatron's minions that engage in aerial combat - this is primarily the other four Decepticon jets, who handle Jhiaxus' orders just fine.
The problem is that Jhiaxus arrived late in the game, and his abrasive leadership style (typically stepping on the toes of Megatron's other lieutenants) has caused nothing but discontent in the ranks. Having got used to the way things were, Jhiaxus' peers don't like sharing their power.
Of course this issue became moot soon enough, after Megatron, transformed into the undead Galvatron, had to deal with some of said lieutenants - and harshly. When Scourge and the Combatrons tried to use Fortress Maximus against him, Galvatron reprogrammed the lot of 'em.
This just in time for Galvatron's final show down with the Autobots on earth, which Jhiaxus and his aircraft buddies joined in earnest. Of course, there's a whole lot of Autobots on earth, and the simple truth is that the Decepticon jets were easily outnumbered in this final fight.
Captured after the ultimate defeat of Galvatron at Omega Prime's hands, Jhiaxus was shipped off with his fellows to an asteroid penal colony in the vicinity of Cybertron. It is presumed that Jhiaxus remains there to this very day, as not a peep has been heard from him since that time.
Design Notes:
There are no character tech specs or biographies for the RiD Jhiaxus. I assembled this entry from what little there was on the packaging about him, and used the tech specs from Beast Machines Jet Storm (which this figure was based on, as was the Autobot RiD Storm Jet).
Naturally, if you don't like 'my' version of this character, go with your own!
