Technoholic Formula Changes - Year 4!
April 8th, 2002: well, I got the original, high-flying Angel added to the solo heroes portion of the Vintage Age Handbook finally... groovy! I also added text file click-ables to the entire Mark Hazzard: Merc portion of the New Universe Handbook - not much yet, but I'm getting there...!
April 4th, 2002: added the core of the Battle-Axis (Doctor Death, the Human Meteor, Spider Queen, Strongman, and Volton) to the Vintage Age Handbook - surprise - and the Snow Cat, the H.A.V.O.C., and a Lift-Ticket image to the GI Joe Handbook, and six folks to my top secret project. Whee!
March 28th, 2002: heya! I added five new gallery images to the GI Joe handbook this week, not to mention four text file archives of my work thus far, and a description of the Joe team's headquarters, the Pit. Of course, I also added five new folks to my top secret project, and updated the Book of Magic a tad bit.
March 21st, 2002: thus far this week, I added Scar-face to the 1983 Cobra roster, Dial-Tone to the 1986 GI Joe roster, Law & Order to the 1987 GI Joe roster, the Hammer to the 1990 GI Joe equipment catalog, and Big Ben to the 1991 GI Joe roster, rounding out the 2000 and 2002 Joe rosters... woo!
March 14th, 2002: added the GI Joe Headquarters and the Skystriker to the 1983 GI Joe roster, finishing that year, the Baroness to the 1984 Cobra roster, the Chameleon to the 2000 GI Joe roster, Everywhere Girl to Seven (a v13 group), and the remaining printable, text file versions the Joe handbook needed.
March 7th, 2002: added the following to the GI Joe Handbook: Storm Shadow ('84 Cobras), Lifeline 1 ('86 Joes), Ambush & Stretcher ('90 Joes), Sidetrack 1 ('00 Joes), and Lifeline 2, Sideswipe, & Sidetrack 2 ('02 Joes). I also updated several extant entries, and added two folk to my top secret project.
February 28th, 2002: added the F.A.N.G ('83 Cobra), the Rattler ('84 Cobra), the Sky Hawk & the Slugger ('84 Joe), the Night Landing ('85 Cobra / '97 Joe), the G.A.M. & the V.T.O.L. Copter ('86 Cobra), the Tiger Rat & the Warthog ('88 Joe), the Python Conquest ('89 Cobra), and the GI Joe H.Q. ('92)... woo!
February 21st, 2002: thus far I've added Low-Light to the 1986 GI Joe Handbook's roster, along with Dusty of the 1985 Joe roster. Of course, I also added three top secret characters to that top secret project I mentioned a bit back, but then, you don't get to know about that 'till it's all done - is a surprise!
February 13th, 2002: so far this week, I added Flint, Lady Jaye, and Sgt. Slaughter to the 1985 GI Joe Handbook, Iceberg to the 1986 GI Joe Handbook, Blizzard to the 1988 GI Joe Handbook, Pathfinder to the 1990 GI Joe Handbook, and merged my '82 V.A.M.P. description with my '84 V.A.M.P. Mark 2 entry.
Not only that, though, but I have gone and added printer-friendly, text-file versions of nearly every single GI Joe character - and some of the Cobras - that I have on the 13 currently. There's a few bad guys missing here and there, but other than that - and some gear - they're all up. Woo!
February 7th, 2002: added these to the GI Joe Handbook: Thunderwing ('98 Joes), Heavy Duty ('91 Joes), Slipstream ('86 Joes), Duke ('84 Joes), Thunder ('84 Joes), the Conquest X-30 ('86 Joe gear), and the Silver Mirage ('85 Joe gear). I also added Ysen to the v13 Villains section, and even updated some extant entries.
January 31th, 2002: after returning from Cedar Rapids, I added Sure Fire to the 2001 roster of Gi Joes, the N.L.C. and the Desert Striker to the 2001 Joe equipment roster, Frostbite to the 1985 Joes roster, the A.W.E. Striker to the 1985 Joe equipment roster, and Angry Annie to the Tenacious Ten (a v13 thing).
January 24th, 2002: keeping busy here on the 13, I added Wet-Suit to the '86 Joes roster (since I got his new, 2002 figure, and it was so cool), not to mention Leatherneck; you can't have Wet-Suit without Leatherneck. I also added Double Blast to the 2001 roster, leaving only one new character to go there.
January 17th, 2002: I rounded out my Manimals portion of the GI Joe handbook with descriptions of Spasma and ZigZag. I also added the Pitt's Colonel Mac Browning, Psi-Force's Andrew Chaser, the 2001 Joes Crossfire and Wet Down, and I even got to Lifeguard to the Misc. Character index. Woo!
January 10th, 2002: started tinkering with another new, top secret project... heh. I also worked out gaming stats for Mindwolf (from the Psi-Force series), the Witness and the Famileech (from the Pitt), and two Gi Joes: Lift-Ticket and Big Brawler... pretty busy here, eh? I thought so!
January 3rd, 2002: I've gone and rebuilt the .asp stuff for each and every document on the 13, so's I don't incur an incidental blackout for several days again... d'oh. I also added a Shipwreck description to the GI Joe handbook, as well as a revised Rock 'n Roll entry in the same.
December 27th, 2001: started work on some oddball characters that have appeared recently in my v13 electronic mail game, beginning with the Confiscator, and odd duck of a wormy villain that your heroes will love to hate - especially after he steals their stuff! Check him out in the v13 reference today!
December 20th, 2001: I finally activated the color customization feature in the 13, allowing viewers to control how they experience the Technohol at long last; not that I ever promised it or anything, but hey, it's kind of nice, I think. I also started working on some variant earth 13 villains... stay tuned for that.
December 13th, 2001: added a links section to the New Universe handbook. Why a separate links page for the New U, you ask? Well, none of these pages have MSH RPG info on them, really, so I figured it would work better as an independent page. Also started the Psi-Force issue guides... woo!
December 6th, 2001: as you can see (if looking at the right page), I fixed the counter, since it seems to be smarter than the webstats program I based it on... d'oh. It is now correct, and will lie unmoleted by myself. Also, added a rpggateway.com voter dingus... silly me, eh?
November 29th, 2001: had some serious computer problems, so I didn't actually get all that much done for the 13 here this time 'round. However, I've apparently resolved all that jazz, and am now working on a couple different things here to get me moving again. I'll keep you posted.
November 22nd, 2001: well, I sort of lost my momentum of late, what with a plethora of things messing with my personal life lately. That and a bizarre string of computer issues I'm trying to fix have kept me sort of out of the loop online. At least I haven't dropped the ball with the v13 game yet...
November 15th, 2001: I continued to run with my Constructicon kick, since I've been in a sort of transformers mood of late, so I am able to present to you two more of these guys: Long Haul and Mixmaster. Only two more to go, then I get to do... Devastator! Nifty keen, huh? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
November 8th, 2001: I went and added another Constructicon to the Universal Heroes rules page, so that poor Bonecrusher there wouldn't be lonely. That's right, now Hook has been added to the mix - groovy, eh? I also updated the v13 adventure log, and a few other little things. Woo!
November 1st, 2001: fixed another error on the Universal Heroes rules page - you can now download Bonecrusher (d'oh). Also, I added the first of the second wave of Manimals (Vortex) to the GI Joe handbook, even though these guys are apparently never going to be released... grr.
October 25th, 2001: heh. I managed to goof up the Zartan change I did last week, so I fixed that. Also updated Gung-Ho for the 2001 figure release, and fine tuned the H.I.S.S. Driver description slightly, since those fellows are apparently still around (as shown by the Rip-It figure last year).
October 18th, 2001: after a long period of rest, I started playing with the GI Joe handbook a bit, updating some entries for folks that I've already covered who received new action figures this year, including Tripwire and Zartan. I've got more on the way, too, during the week - stay tuned!
October 11th, 2001: found that I'd not uploaded the perfected version of the Universal Heroes character sheets... d'oh! Also, I've upgraded most of the character sheet examples I have, making them not say 'continued on the next page' on the back, since they're not. Heh.
October 4th, 2001: I've been upgrading the innards of the .asp that runs the 13, partly so it's more efficient, and partly so I can utilize my own counter, and not that pokey BeSeen thing. Besides, mine's more accurate - or will be, once I finish this upgrade. Not that it matters, but still.
September 27th, 2001: at long last, I've completed my New Universe Character Chronology, my effort to document every single appearance of every single worthwhile character to appear in a New Universe comic - including their appearances beyond their own world. Keen, eh?
September 20th, 2001: took me forever, due to personal conditions way beyond my control, but I did finally finish up the Star Brand text file archive. Though this seems simple, I figured this was important, since so many folks seem to drop by here of late. It's rather popular, for some reason... hm.
September 13th, 2001: cleaned up the New Universe News page, basically removing my unsubstantiated opinion on the most recent story and inserting cold, hard fact in its place (hey, even I am not perfect). Also, I started working on the Star Brand text file archive - it's slow going, but going on up - to the top!
September 6th, 2001: added five more color schemes - yeah, right after I cycled through the old ones, I know. I'm done harping on them for the time being (as well as making 'em), since adding more would be considerably harder at this point. Besides, I've got more weighty concerns to deal with here...
August 30th, 2001: Everything's Cyan! Wow... I seem to have cycled through all my color plots for the 13 - I'll have to make some more! Meanwhile, enjoy my description of the second, android Red Raven, in the Miscellaneous Heroes section of the site. And did some talents work. Woo!
August 23rd, 2001: Everything's black (though it was purple for a bit)! Didn't manage much this week, though I did get the Reincarnator done for Classic MSH, so I can finally present him for your use. Also, I tweaked the main page, allowing the counter and the lit.org button to change with the site colors.
August 16th, 2001: Everything's blue (though it was green, then yellow for a bit)! Why's it changing so fast? Well, I rigged up an auto color-changing mechanism so I don't have to do that anymore. Also, did Iguanus, Slythor, and Warwolf's deluxe character sheets, and a Rusty Collins writeup for both MSH games.
August 9th, 2001: Everything's orange! Yes, I finally embraced the color orange for the site, right when I completed the cyclical color change mechanism for the 13... now, every couple days, the color will change for your viewing pleasure. Oh, I also got Moebius done for the v13 reference, so check her out!
August 2nd, 2001: Everything's yellow! Of course, I didn't manage all that much in addition to the yellowing of that which is the 13, other than a slight modification to the main 13 page. As you can see, I added an award dingus to it - and not one of them 'everyman' awards either - this one's keen. Take a look!
July 24th, 2001: Everything's white (on black)! Performed some updates on existing character descriptions. So far, I've transformed the Red Raven 2 entry into the Red Raven 3 entry (following recent revelations in the Defenders title), and incorporated elements of his 2001 release into the Cutter entry. Good deal, eh?
July 19th, 2001: Everything's black! Of course, in addition to altering the 13's hue, I also refabricated my deluxe character sheets, those in the Universal Heroes rules section, making them much smaller .gif files. Heck, I even refurbished the ol' Bonecrusher one, and added a new one - Flash, from the GI Joe team!
July 12th, 2001: Everything's cyan! I finished the new v13 color schemes, and have now implemented the first two for your viewing pleasure - the red and the cyan. That's not all, though - I managed to add Crimebuster to the v13 reference for both MSH RPG games.
July 5th, 2001: well, I haven't gotten all that much done that you can see yet this week, in that most of my time was spent producing them there alternate color schemes for the 13. I'm a third of the way done with nine new ones (count 'em), which you'll see soon!
June 28th, 2001: I managed to get all the rest of the modron types completed - that's sixteen in full that are now available - save for some proofreading. Also added the original John Wraith to the Misc. Character index, and Rip It to the GI Joe Handbook.
June 21st, 2001: busy week here. Managed to get all of the existing modron entries fine tuned, since I rebuilt the 'general' modron page to cover their common abilities - and then added five more modron types - not to mention the three Vintage Age folks I wrote up...
June 14th, 2001: mostly tinkered around with a few things in the Vintage Age handbook, doing some cleaning up that I seem to have missed during the big switchover - mostly a simple matter of differences between what I did at home and at work whilst at lunch - oops.
June 7th, 2001: did a truly bizarre villain up for the Vintage Age handbook - namely the Teutonic Knight, a religious wacko that didn't seem to have a problem working for the atheistic, Nazi regime. Funny how one can rationalize such things, isn't it??
May 31st, 2001: got the third and final Manimal done (at least as far as the first wave of 'em is concerned, at least). That's right, Warwolf is now available for your gaming pleasure - at least to beat on, i would assume - in the GI Joe Handbook. Enjoy...
May 24th, 2001: worked out the beginnings of a new character for my Variant Earth 13 campaign, a fellow who goes by the name of the Reincarnator - I haven't quite posted him live for your viewing pleasure just yet, but I will as soon as his Classic version is complete.
May 17th, 2001: well, for all intents and purposes, I've finally finished up the massive overhaul of the 13 into its new form, at its new location. I suppose I should announce that to everybody sooner or later, so I guess I will as soon as I finish tweaking a few details here and there.
May 10th, 2001: blasting away on the conversion process, I've gotten everything but the Variant Earth 13 section done, though I had to stop and revise all the work I've done so far - I found an easy way to make the entire site visually customizable - better in the long run, yes?
May 3rd, 2001: Have the GI Joe Handbook completely switched over to the new, improved technohol.com format, and am in progress on the New Universe stuff. That and I got all the Universal Heroes downloadables placed up here at long last... mmm... custom rules...
April 26th, 2001: woo! All my hard work of late is about to pay off! You see, I just set up, at long last, Technohol.com! Instead of merely hosting the 13 on the @home network's crappy servers, I've gone pro, and now have a real host. Now, I just need to finish the sweeping changes I'm working on...
April 19th, 2001: I put together a detailed character description of Iguanus, the second of three Manimal action figures recently released for the GI Joe action figure line. I may still be in the EARLY eighties for most of the handbook, but at least some of it covers the new guys...
April 12th, 2001: cleaned up the Joe section some, actually making links to the folks I've posted recently. Huh... been so wrapped up in the big conversion that I forgot to make the updates to the Joe index pages that referred to Kwinn and various other folks. Color me clueless, I guess...
April 9th, 2001: wow... welcome to year four. And here I thought I'd just be doing game statistics for one or two of my favorite groups... silly me. Anyhow, since I'm still going strong, here's to another year of Technoholic goodness, and hoping I finally get some stuff done, hey?
