Technoholic Formula Changes - Year 28!

April 8th, 2026: what do you know, it's the end of Technohol 13's twenty-eighth year of operation! Though I didn't quite finish up the Justice portion of my New Universe reference by this deadline, I nonetheless got pretty close. For instance, I've now completed ten of the twelve issue guides for this series, covering issues twenty-seven, twenty-eight, and twenty-nine - most of the Psi-Force crossover!

April 7th, 2026: still having to force myself to bang away at the Justice issue guides for my New Universe project, I've produced another one of them today. This latest addition to the 13 has seen me summaries issues twenty-four, twenty-five, and twenty-six of Justice, which included most of the story arc involving Elliot Quill and his repeated attempts to assassinate Justice for the Forsaken.

April 6th, 2026: though I'm having a hard time of it for some reason, I'm continuing the crafting of my issue guides for the Justice portion of my New Universe reference. Writing summaries of the twenty-first, twenty-second, and twenty-third issues of the series, I have completed my eighth Justice issue guide, covering Justice's battle with the Philadelphia police department and its aftermath.

April 5th, 2026: pressing on in my effort to complete the Justice issue guides, I have produced the seventh of these today. This particular issue guide covers issues eighteen, nineteen, and twenty of the Justice series, culminating in the paranormal vigilante's capture by the Philadelphia police department at the Pitt-Aid concert after his harrowing battle with the Forsaken known only as Seraph.

April 4th, 2026: since I've wrapped up all the Far Side business from the Justice series, it's time I pick up where I left off on its issue guides! Today I completed the sixth of these, which details issues sixteen and seventeen, as well as the series' Untold Tale, which I finally decided fell between issues seventeen and eighteen, considering how Justice began to question his mission at the very end.

April 3rd, 2026: completing my look at the Far Side arc from the New Universe's Justice series, I spent today writing a description of Leon Crisp. He wasn't a paranormal or anything otherwise fantastic, but he was a wildly successful serial killer. Finding the contrast between him and the mass murderer that is Justice interesting, I felt Leon was distinct enough to be covered in these here parts.

April 2nd, 2026: since I wrapped up his CASE permutation yesterday, I built the Quick Action Resolution Deck and 4C System: Edition 13 variations on Black Justice today. And that cleans up the Far Side saga within the Justice portion of my New Universe reference, save for my imminent description of one more character, who really didn't have much impact on the story at all, when you get down to it.

April 1st, 2026: starting my work on the last major character from Justice's Far Side arc, I produced my Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on Klane, the Black Justice! He mostly has powers similar to Justice himself, but also has super strength and a weird ability related to mystical darkness, so the difficulty with Klane was mostly determining whether or not he acctually existed.

March 31st, 2026: I banged out the 4C System: Edition 13 and Quick Action Resolution Deck variations on my Maximus Argath description today, catching a few terribly obvious spelling and grammatical errors as I did. On the plus side, I at least cleaned up his verbiage as I wrapped these two permutations up, ensuring that his descriptions aren't embarrasingly bad. I seem to be writing poorly lately.

March 30th, 2026: the subject of today's work didn't require a ton of research, since he only appeared in one issue of Justice. However, untangling his origins was about as trick as was Tattoo's, since they both have the same questions about their very nature. Either way, I've added the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on Maximus Argath for your gaming pleasure, so go check him out!

March 29th, 2026: though it took a bit, as I had to re-read her many and various appearances, I have wrapped up my work on Rebecca Chambers by writing her extensive history. I sort of glossed over most of her time in the Far Side, because she transformed from a realistic character into the caricature of a cartoon villain, much like Damon Conquest. But hey, at least she's sorted out now!

March 28th, 2026: starting my work on the last major character from the original fifteen issues of the Justice series, I have produced most of my character descriptions of Justice Department operative Rebecca Chambers. While I haven't written her story, since that's a whole thing by itself, I've produced the three different variations on her character statistics for your gaming pleasure thus far.

March 27th, 2026: I completed my look at Tattoo today, building out his 4C System: Edition 13 and Quick Action Resolution Deck variation today, which didn't take too long I suppose. Oddly there was a lot more QARD work requird for Tattoo than usual, but it didn't take much longer than you'd think. Of course, I don't know what you'd think, but I can hazard a guess here if I'm being reckless.

March 26th, 2026: hey there! I am keeping at my effort to cover the major characters from the Far Side arc of the New Universe's Justice comic, and have pored over the pertinent issues again. With that done, I produced the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on Tattoo, who was Daedalus Darquill's fixer where his criminal exploits on earth are ooncerned. He's a weird one!

March 25th, 2026: since they weren't quite as difficult to untangle as were the previous two entries, and are in fact a sort of 'legion' of minions for the Winterlands, producing a description of the Hounds didn't take quite as long as did Daedalus Darquill and Damon Conquest. All three permutations of the Hound are now available for your perusal in the Justice portion of my New Universe reference.

March 24th, 2026: I wrapped up my work writing for Damon Conquest today, namely by writing out his extensive history this time around. I gave it a basic proofreading and then plugged it into all three permutations on his theme, doing my best to make sense of his weird, weird character arc. I built him with a different process this time, but I'm not sure I want to do this normally. Anyway, he's done.

March 23rd, 2026: I'm continuing to build out characters for the Justice portion of my New Universe reference today, and since the mastermind behind the series' original arc is done, it's time to sort out his chief lieutenant and son, Damon Conquest. I've written up all three versions of this villain, save for his history of course, which will need quite a bit of work to write up properly.

March 22nd, 2026: since I've laid the groundwork for my coverage of Daedalus Darquill with my CASE version of the villain, I went ahead and carved out his 4C System: Edition 13 and Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on the theme. Even better, breaking my work on his three permutations out this way allowed me to find numerous errors in each variation of his text that made the others better.

March 21st, 2026: what do you know, I've started building new character descriptions for my New Universe reference! Since I've completed the relevant issue guides from the Justice series, I have crafted an original Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine entry for none other than Daedalus Darquill, the mastermind behind the whole Far Side arc of Justice's first fifteen issues.

March 20th, 2026: since I'd cleaned up his original, CASE variation yesterday, I did the same to John Tensen's 4C System: Edition 13 and Quick Action Resolution Deck varieties today. I found a few conversion errors in each, which was to be expected since I was sloppier back when I first created these files, added in his new power, and then made a few revisions based on updates to these rule systems.

March 19th, 2026: with the first act of issue guides done for my Justice chapter of the New Universe project, I took time out to review my description of the man himself: Justice! I added his ability to heal others over time with his regenerative power, and corrected numerous grammatical errors I'd committed when writing his CASE variation a decade or so ago. Hey, I was much younger!

March 18th, 2026: at long last, I've completed my error checking operation on the first five issue guides for the Justice portion of my New Universe reference, cleaning up my summaries of issues thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen. This sums up the series through the whole 'Far Side' saga, leading to the portion of the series that continues after the massive issue fifteen retcon. Woo!

March 17th, 2026: woo. I'm still finding I am making considerable tense errors when writing these issue guides for Justice, but I'm vaguely doing better by the time I get around to proofreading them proper. I saw this while checking issue guide four for errors, cleaning up a distressing number of them while proofreading my summaries of issues ten, eleven, and twelve. At least I'm almost done for now.

March 16th, 2026: having written many of the necessary Justice issue guides for my New Universe reference, I continue the process of proofreading the things. This time around, I pored over the summaries I wrote for issues seven, eight, and nine of the Justice series, and cleaned up what I'd put together five days back. And while they were also improved compared to the first three, they needed help.

March 15th, 2026: relentlessly pursuing my work on the Justice portion of my New Universe reference, I proofread my second guide for that series. This covered the fourth, fifth, and sixth issues, and being a bit more cognizant of my tense issues I did a bit better on them. My work wasn't perfect, though, so there were a bunch of tense problems I missed the first time around. And spelling errors!

March 14th, 2026: done with writing for a few days, I started a proofread of the Justice issue guides I've completed thus far. This is necessary since my writing seems to include an inordinate amount of present tense errors, which tells me I'm way out of practice. Good thing I'm almost done with these New Universe issue guides, eh? Anyway, I went and proofed the first of these today. Enjoy!

March 13th, 2026: pursuing my goal of wrapping up the first wave of issue guides I need to write for the Justice portion of my New Universe reference, I produced summaries of the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth issues of that series. This ended the first act of the Justice comic, so this is a good time to stop and indulge in some necessary, albeit confusing character work - once I proofread this stuff.

March 12th, 2026: though it's hard, what with the utterly plodding pace of his first year of issues, I have written summaries of issues ten, eleven, and twelve of the Justice series for my New Universe reference. I still seem to be having terrible tense issues as I write these, but I tried to clean them up a bit before moving on to the last block of issues I need to cover for now.

March 11th, 2026: keeping my focus on the Justice portion of my New Universe reference, I produced the third of twelve issue guides I need to produce for it. This entailed me breaking down issues seven, eight, and nine of his comic series and detailing what happened within them. Of course, not a whole lot actually went down in them, so this turned into another instance of 'pulling teeth' as I wrote the thing.

March 10th, 2026: though I'm having difficulty working my way through the early Justice series, what with its syrupy pacing, I am leaning on the raw brutality to carry me through. That's how I managed to complete the second of twelve issue guides for this portion of my New Universe reference, meaning I've managed to summarize six of its issues so far. Out of the thirty-two (three?) that were printed, anyway.

March 9th, 2026: since all of my rules stuff finally is current (!), I figured I should start on another of my outstanding projects. I put off work on the Justice portion of my New Universe reference because there was already a site dedicated to him, but that was decades ago. So I'm starting by writing the issue summaries for this series, and covered the first issue guide today. How about them apples?

March 8th, 2026: wrapping up my proofreading of the redacted FNORD Powers document, and my rules work overall for a good long while, I cleaned up my text for the Telepathy, Teleportation / Others, Temporal Static, Temporal Windows, Theonic Amplification, Time Travel, Tramplede, Transformation / Others, Turnabout, Twinning, Warding, Weakness Generation, Weather Control, and Wrest powers. Hooray!

March 7th, 2026: on my penultimate round of redacted FNORD Powers document proofreading, I have upgraded the verbiage on the Sensory Link, Shrinking / Others, Signature Power, Sorcerous Amplification, Space Control, Spectral Flame Generation, Spectral Gestalt, Spell Control, Spiritual Link, Super Vampirism, Synchronicity, Vampirism, Vapors, Variable Psionics, Variable Sorcery, and Vivification powers.

March 6th, 2026: still proofreading the redacted FNORD Powers document, I revised all variations on Pain, Planar Control, Plant Control, Plant Hybridization / Others, Plant Hybridization, Plasma Generation, Power Duplication, Propulsion, Psionic Amplification, Psionic Attenuation, Psychic Invisibility, Radiation Generation, Radivision, Resistance, and Roulette. Slowly getting there!

March 5th, 2026: woo, we're more than halfway through our proofreading of the redacted FNORD Powers document, which has revealed favorable revisions to the Macro Sense, Magic Sense, Matter Absorption, Mental Repair, Mind Lock, Nimiety, and Object Sympathy abilities. Most of these were easy enough, but I had to add a paragraph to Nimiety, and fixed a clash between Object Sympathy and Hostility Screen.

March 4th, 2026: today's foray into proofreading of the redacted FNORD Powers document was relatively short, as not that many powers start with the letters of J, K, or L. I did find a few tiny things to overhaul with Knowledge and Longevity, though, only the latter of which needed to be shared with the other variations on that theme. So hey, at least one easy update before the awfulness to come.

March 3rd, 2026: I kept banging away at the redacted FNORD Powers again, making updates to Gravity Control, Greater Invulnerability, Greater Resistance, Group Link, Growth / Self, Hard Points, Healing / Others, Image Animation, Inculcation, Initiative Control, and Invulnerability. The changes that applied to other versions of these abilities were ported over to them, as well. Am I not lovely?

March 2nd, 2026: continuing to proofread the redacted FNORD Powers document, tweaking the verbaige on all variations of Danger Sense, Deific Impersonation, Deliverance, Dream Projection, Drones, Dyad, Eldritch Barrier, Blast, Bolt, Palm, and Wave, Elemental Control, Energy Control, Environmental Independence, Faith, Flaw Sense, Flight, and Force Field. Not quite as much as yesterday, but still a bunch.

March 1st, 2026: proofreading the various redacted FNORD powers, I tweaked the verbiage on Animal Hybridization / Others, Antipsion Generation, Assimilation, Atomic Sense, Carrier Wave, Causality Control, Celestial Light Generation, Charm, Circular Vision, Clairalience, Clairaudience, Clairgustance, Clairtouchence, Clairvoyance, Confusion, Corporeal Gestalt, Curse, and rewrote all versions of Antimatter.

February 28th, 2026: I finished re-modernizing the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable today, because I finished re-adding all the modernized verbiage from that game's Powers document. The only problem is that I seem to have shaved off 500 bytes of ... something in the process. I'll eyeball it but I think that may just be a cut and paste error from the first time around. Anyway, it's done. Again.

February 27th, 2026: for the penultimate re-update of my 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable, at least until I decide to write more for the system, I've plugged in the verbiage for all the powers that start with the letter M through all the powers that start with the letter R. You know, yet again. That just leaves one more update to this thing before it's correctly modernized, now.

February 26th, 2026: once again working on the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable, I've poured the powers that begin with the letter G through the powers that start with the letter L from the Powers document into that system's archive. You know, yet again. But hey, that means I'm halfway done with this thing, once and for all. Again, yet again. You'll be hearing that a lot for a bit.

February 25th, 2026: moving on to the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable yet again, I'm pouring the text from that game's Powers document into the archive yet again. As I have been doing with all of these, I did all of the powers starting with the letter A through all the powers that start with the letter F on this first outing. Only three more of these to go yet again.

February 24th, 2026: I'm done re-modernizing the Powers document's verbiage for the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine's text file downloadable, plugging the rest of the Powers into it. Again. And according to the numbers, the newest version of the archive has ten more characters in it, so I apparently only missed one or two minor updates I'd made to something somewhere, so that's not so bad.

February 23rd, 2026: relentlessly banging away with at my re-modernization of the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable, I once again added all the powers that started with the letter M through those that started with the letter R, and though I'm bored to tears with this particular process, at least I'm just about done again. For the CASE, anyway. But what are you going to do?

February 22nd, 2026: continuing the process of re-modernizing the verbiage of the CASE Powers document for the game's text file archive, I poured in all the powers that started with the letter G through those that start with the letter L. Luckily there weren't too many of the random rolling tables to rebuild in this one, aside from those going into the various group spell descriptions, but there were a few.

February 21st, 2026: so as it turned out, I hadn't completely updated the Powers document for the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine before I poured its text into the game's text file downloadable, so here we go again. Sigh. It may've been fine, but I was worried I missed something, so I plugged all the powers starting with the letter A through the letter F today, which I didn't want to do but you know.

February 20th, 2026: I finished my work on the fourth and last of my text file downloadables, having finally wrapped up the addition of the modern Powers verbiage to the redacted FNORD archive. I may fiddle with this one as I do its apparently required proofreading, but I just wasn't up for doing that to the entire Powers document for this thing yet again. Especially with one or two other things that've recently come up.

February 19th, 2026: making the penultimate update to the text file downloadable for the still unnamed, redacted FNORD system, I have poured in a third grouping of six letters worth of powers, re-adding everything from the letter M to the letter R. That just leaves eight more to go, though the last three are sort of a cheat, when you get down to it. Then again, S and T are absolutely awful, so

February 18th, 2026: continuing on with the export of the redacted FNORD system's Powers document to its text file downloadable, I have plugged all the powers from G to L into the mix. I may not be proofreading this thing as I update it, as I did with the rest of the material I've written for my redacted FNORD rules, but I'll get onto that later. It's just... too much for now. Far too much.

February 17th, 2026: the last document from the redacted FNORD rule set that needs being modernized in its text file downloadable, its Powers document is by far the biggest. And hey, like the Quick Action Resolution Deck, while it needs a lot of stuff to be written yet, at least this beast is done, right? Anyhow, I added all the powers from the letter A through the letter F in this time around.

February 16th, 2026: my work on the redacted FNORD variation on the Quirks document is once again complete, as I have pored over the various mental quirks (both beneficial and deleterious) and ensured their text was good. After fixing one or two minor hiccups in my text, again things that should've already been fixed, I poured these last details into the text file archive for this nascent gaming system.

February 15th, 2026: keepin' on with the ever-lasting work of the ages, I have begun to pore over the text for the redacted FNORD variation on the Quirks document, so I can add it to that game's text file archive. Found a few weird grammatical errors that needed fixing, fixes that I ported over to the other variations on this document, and then poured its verbiage into the archive.

February 14th, 2026: I wrapped up my work on the redacted FNORD system's Skills document, and its subseuqent addition to the text file downloadable of those rules. I didn't find any more egregious errors in its verbiage, but I did have to replace the thrown objects and thrown weapons skills with flinging and simulated weapons, as I've done with all other variations on this document. Yay, modernization!

February 13th, 2026: I began working on the process of clearing the text in the redacted FNORD system's Skills document into its text file downloadable, but I found that it, too, had some problems. I thus deeply proofread the first half of the thing, and poured its text into the archive. Worse, I found some of these errors were in other versions of the Skills document, so I had to fix those too.

February 12th, 2026: finished the process of adding the verbiage from the Contacts document to the redacted FNORD system text file downloadable, though this involved a lot of fixing of things that should've already been fixed. Things like missing Oxford commas, weird phrasing, that sort of thing. But at least it's all ironed out again, which means my Contacts work is finally done, once and for all.

February 11th, 2026: started to add the Contacts document's verbiage into the redacted FNORD system's text file downloadable, but found that it was riddled with errors for some reason. Apparently a lot of the changes I made to the other three versions of this work were updated without it. Boo! So I cleaned up the first half of it then poured it into the archive for this particular rule set.

February 10th, 2026: so I set upon the text for the Time and Combat document for my still-forming redacted FNORD system, and I found a bunch of errors that had eluded me thus far. Conversion errors, grammatical errors, that sort of thing. But I fixed all that I found this time around, and replaced the extant text in that game's text file downloadable with this newer, more current verbiage. Whew.

February 9th, 2026: keeping on with the process of adding the text of my nascent redacted FNORD system into its text file downloadable again, I spent a considerable amount of time proofreading its Space and Movement document. Once I modernized all of its text, since there were several bits what needed fixing, I poured lal of that work into the redacted FNORD system's archive file.

February 8th, 2026: I wrapped up this Technoholic month by proofreading the text I'd created for the redacted FNORD system's Levels and ACTIONs document, and made a number of miniscule improvements to the text and its flow. I then replaced the extant text in that game's text file archive with the most current stuff, and finally built out the game's Universal Table - albeit in a text format. But that's done.

February 7th, 2026: continuing the process of getting my extant redacted FNORD material up to date, I have read the text of that system's Ability Scores document, making a few changes and additions to it. I then poured all of the text from that document into the redacted FNORD text file downloadable, since I'm sort of doing a dual proofread and archival process at the exact same time.

February 6th, 2026: today I pored over the text of the redacted FNORD system's Introduction text as a proper start to my work, making a few bits of changes to the thing. I then poured that text into the redacted FNORD text file downloadable, replacing the old stuff and adding the third chapter that is exclusive to the game's archive, namely that concering the stewardship of the system overall.

February 5th, 2026: with the text file archives of the first three rule systems I produce content for finally back up to snuff, it's time I start working on the fourth! This is a game I haven't released to the public yet, so I won't be providing any links to the thing just yet. However, you'll have to put up with me posting updates I make to it, like its index page I revised today, as I complete them. Sorry!

February 4th, 2026: yeah, the group spell listings in the Quick Action Resolution Deck Powers document all needed a bit of a fix. See, they had an ordered list instead of a bulleted list ticking off all the random results, and that needed revising. And it's been done! I think the other three systems I'm working on writing all used random rolling tables for these things, so this error should be gone now.

February 3rd, 2026: ah, yet more completion. I have finished pouring the most current text from the Quick Action Resolution Deck's Powers document into its text file downloadable, and I believe I didn't manage to bungle it too much while doing so. So the QARD's material is just about current now, save for a few modifications I need to make to the individual group spell files, if memory serves.

February 2nd, 2026: though the process of rebuilding the text file archives of the various Powers documents is arduous, or at least tedious, I persist! Today, I added the third sexted of powers to the Quick Action Resolution Deck archive, getting me all the way through the letter R. So tomorrow this whole thing ought to be done, assuming I don't inadvertently insert any errors to the thing as I proceed.

February 1st, 2026: hey, it's already February! And what do you know, we're halfway done with the process of adding the most current Powers text to the Quick Action Resolution Deck text file downloadable, because I've plugged in the second sextet of letters into the mix. Well, I suppose I'm technically slightly less than halfway through, but the X, Y, and Z powers consist of one special ability each, so.

January 31st, 2026: I ended this first calendar month of 2026 by starting up my modernization of the Powers portion of the Quick Action Resolution Deck text file downloadable. As I did with the previous two system archives I worked on, I covered the first six letters of the alphabet, getting me approximately one fourth of the way done with this thing. Ah, only three more steps to go and it's done!

January 30th, 2026: before I can begin replacing the portion of the Quick Action Resolution Deck text file downloadable dedicated to the Powers document, I had to do some work on the individual powers files. To wit, I found every remaining instance of or variation on Saga or System 13 and replaced them with Quick Action Resolution Deck or QARD, depending on how it woul fit. Because I'm twitchy that way.

January 29th, 2026: continuing to plug the most modern version of my text form the Quick Action Resolution Deck to date into its text file downloadable, I plugged the text from the Skills document into the thing. I also recombined the two throwing skills into Flinging again, and added the Simulated Weapons skill to the text as well, keeping the number of skills current at ninety-five. For now, anyway.

January 28th, 2026: the extant core systems of the Quick Action Resolution Deck are now modernized, even though I'm still missing like three of the things. So I guess I'll wrap up the modernization of everything else I'd written for the QARD, starting with the Contacts document. This one was a relatively painless update to the text file downloadable, which is good since tomorrow's will be a bit heavier.

January 27th, 2026: wrapping up the core systems of the Quick Action Resolution Deck that I've already written, at least where the text file downloadable for the system is concerned, I poured the current Time and Combat text into the thing. I tweaked one or two little bits, here and there, but for the most part it was solid as-is. Which means now I need to write more of these things. Bleah.

January 26th, 2026: keeping on with the work to modernize the Quick Action Resolution Deck text file downloadable, even if it isn't nearly as complete as the previous two systems I worked on here on the 13 and its assorted sub-sites. This time around, I seized the current text for the Space and Movement document and plugged it in, causing the gap between old and new core systems material to quickly close.

January 25th, 2026: persisting in my attempt to modernize all of my extant rules materials before continuing on with newer content, I poured the most current Intensities and Card Play text into my Quick Action Resolution Deck text file downloadable today. While I didn't add anything new to the mix, it's distressing just how out of date the old downloadable file actually was. Yikes.

January 24th, 2026: continuing the process of adding the admittedly small amount of modern, extant Quick Action Resolution Deck verbiage to the game's text file downloadable, I plugged the text from the Ability Scores document into the mix. Of course, I cleaned up the four benchmark tables as well, and even added little blurbs at the bottom for Limitations, Enhancements, Hindrances, and Augmentations!

January 23rd, 2026: since I've modernized every facet of my Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine and 4C System: Edition 13 rule sets that currently exist, it's time to do the same for my Quick Action Resolution Deck! Building out the text file downloadable for this game once again, I have poured the text from its Introduction document into it, adding the third chapter solely to the archive.

January 22nd, 2026: with this last of thirteen updates to the Book of Magic micro-expansions, I have opened up both variations on the Voodoo Spells document and ensured I hadn't broken the included example character. I've had to do this a few times, since I keep fiddling with the skills roster, but I think it's golden now. I updated the basic school text on each as well, just to be sure.

January 21st, 2026: ooh, penultimates! Opening up both variations on the Thaumentalism Spells document today, I ensured the character generation example included within was in proper working order, and then grabbed all the text related to this school from the appropriate Book of Magic and spliced it back in. And that just leaves us with one more of these things to wrap up before I'm done!

January 20th, 2026: oho, we're turning it up to eleven today! That's because I popped open the CASE and Edition 13 variations on the Technomancy Spells document, and ensured that the character generation example I included lacked any issues thanks to my recentl fiddling with talents, and then spliced all the school text from the associated Book of Magic into them, to boot. Ah, so close to finishing.

January 19th, 2026: having rounded the corner a bit back, we're slowly working towards the end of these Book of Magic micro-expansion upgrades. I checked to ensure the character generation example in the Physiomancy Spells documents was working properly still, and then I copied all the pertinent text from the Book of Magic back into them - since really, these micro-expansions are where it came from.

January 18th, 2026: trying to getdone with this business of micro-expansion overhauls once and for all, I peered at the philosophical school text in each version of the Book of Magic, and I then copied it right into the correct variation of the Philosophical Spells document. And yeah, I did the check in the portion related to skills, to ensure I didn't break the example generated character within.

January 17th, 2026: I copied the appropriate text from the CASE and Edition 13 variations of the paraprobabilitism school from the Book of Magic to their matching micro-expansions, basically entitled Paraprobabilitism Spells. As I have been, I then ensured my example character generated in the micro-expansion still worked right, that my meddling with the roster of weapon talents didn't wreck them up.

January 16th, 2026: moving along in the baker's dozen of school spells micro-expansions I need to ever so slightly overhaul, I've revised the CASE and Edition 13 variations on the Geomancy Spells document today. As I have with the rest, I plugged its updated text into the top half, and ensured I didn't break the character generation examples when I fiddled with the roster of weapon skills a bit back.

January 15th, 2026: probably the one school spell accessory most in need of being updated, I took the Faerie Spells documents to task today. I recently updated their text in the Book of Magic, so I moved each version of its verbiage to the appropriate micro-expansion, and again ensured nothing with the talents the sample generated character was broken by my recent alterations to the rules.

January 14th, 2026: it looks like today is dedicated to Entreatism Spells! I took the latest text related to this school of magic from the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine and 4C System: Edition 13 variations on the Book of Magic, and poured it into these accessory documents. I then ensured my recent work on skills didn't foul up my character generation example for this school.

January 13th, 2026: on day four of our thirteen day odyssey to update the various school spell documents for both the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine and Edition 13 of the 4C System, I worked over the Elementalism Spells document. Did the same basic updates with these that I have on the previous three, updating the upper text and verifying that my changes to talents didn't break the bottom.

January 12th, 2026: woo, we're up to the third of thirteen updates to both variations on the school spells documents, focusing on the Eclecticism Spells files today. Basically doing the same bit I did over the last two days, updating the text to its most current version, and of course verifying that I hadn't bungled up the skill selection the sample character made use of.

January 11th, 2026: the second of thirteen of these updates I needed to make to the school spells documents up to date, I revised what I had for both variations on the Clericism Spells files. This just involved me revising the rules text on the first half of each to the most modern versions of the thing, and then verifying that my changes to the talent selection didn't break the second half.

January 10th, 2026: with the text file downloadables for both the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine and Edition 13 of the 4C System wrapped up, I have to wrap up the odds and ends of this buisness before I can move on to the next rulesy bits. So I replaced both versions of the Alchemy Spells document with its most up to date text, and to check that any weapon skills still line up.

January 9th, 2026: as a counterpoint to the work I performed yesterday, I produced the text for the Flinging and Simulated Weapons skills for Edition 13 of the 4C System, deleting the Thrown Objects and Thrown Weapons skills in the process. I then rebuilt the weapon skills random rolling tables in all my 4C System character generation guides, as well as the Edition 13 text file downloadable. Woo!

January 8th, 2026: wrapping up this Technoholic month, I've made a modification to the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine Talents document, and the associated character generation and text archives file. Namely, I combined Thrown Objects and Thrown Weapons into Flinging, and then added the whole new talent of Simulated Weapons, something I'd been meaning to do for a while now.

January 7th, 2026: at long last, I've completed my effort to overhaul and update the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable, for I've plugged the most modern text of the last eight letters of the Powers document into the archive. It's always a nice, warm, and fuzzy feeling when I wrap up a big load of heavy lifting like the production of these text file downloadables, so I'm gonna savor that just a bit.

January 6th, 2026: we're now more than halfway done with the overhaul of the last chapter of the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable, for I have plugged the third set of six letters from the modern Powers document into the archive today. Just eight more letters to go and I'll be done with the modernization of this second variation on my text file downloadables once and for all.

January 5th, 2026: though building the powers portion of these text file downloadables is an arduous process, what with there being five hundred or so individual entries in the thing, I continue my effort to wrap up the 4C System: Edition 13 archive's modernization. You know, again. To this end, I added the second batch of six letters to the mix today, getting everything through the letter L modernized.

January 4th, 2026: yay, we're on the last chapter needed to modernize the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable - even if it is the single largest one of the bunch. That's right, I'm pouring material from the Powers document into this archive, having covered the first six letters of the alphabet this time around. Should only be three more days before this work is finally done. Er, again.

January 3rd, 2026: as it turns out, we only have one more chapter of the extant 4C System: Edition 13 rules to add to its text file downloadable, because today I poured the current text of the Power Customization and Quirks chapters into the thing. While the actual text on these two chapters was woefully out of date, at least in the Edition 13 archive, they're now squeaky clean. You know, again.

January 2nd, 2026: starting on the appendices of the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable, I've cleaned up the chapters devoted to both Skills and Contacts this time around, quickly whittling away at what's left of this thing to rehabilitate. Not bad, considering that a year ago, I'd forgotten that this file even existed apparently. But hey, it's almost up to snuff once again!

January 1st, 2026: merry 2026! I'm starting this calendar year by finishing the rehabilitation of the character generation rules nestled within the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable. I accomplished this by plugging in the text of this system's Exobiology 101 into the archive, which wasn't previously held within this thing. So now we just have five more chapters to go. Hooray!

December 31st, 2025: hey, it's the end of the calendar year! To celebrate this august occurrence, allow me to add something altogether new to the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable! That's right, since I'd never actually done it before, I added the text of the Combination Character Cookbook to this massive archive today, paving the way for what I'll be doing tomorrow - in 2026!

December 30th, 2025: still banging away at the text file downloadable for Edition 13 of the 4C System, I poured all the current text from the Deionomicon into the mix today. Of course, it's been so long since I seriously fiddled with the text for this thing, I actually forgot to rename the Deific Device(s) user into the Numenplyer for this thing, so I had to go about the process of fixing that, too. Sigh.

December 29th, 2025: continuing my seemingly never-ending effort to overhaul my text file downloadables, I plugged the most current text of the Manual of the Psi into the 4C System: Edition 13 archive today. Luckily I didn't need to make any actual changes to balance or whatever like I felt the need to yesterday, this was mostly just the usual cut and paste operation, with some help for the headers.

December 28th, 2025: oh look, I'm halfway done with the character generation portion of the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable overhaul, for I have poured the most current Book of Magic text into the mix. Of course, I've made a balance change to all versions of the Book, adding one more spell to each result in the number of spells table, to retain parity with the rest of Edition 13.

December 27th, 2025: keepin' on with the drudgery of the ages, I have made another update to the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable today. This time, I added the most current text of the Technical Reference to the mix, replacing the older stuff and apparently fixing a whole lot of errors I introduced when I overhauled this thing last time. But at least I found and ended them?

December 26th, 2025: work proceeds apace on the reconstuction of the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable, for I have upgraded such with the most current text for the Textbook Character Treatise today! I found a few duplicate tables that needed exicising, on top of straightening out the tables in general, but it looks much cleaner than it was before. And now, on to the next chapter!

December 25th, 2025: merry xxx-mas! Since the most current text of the 4C System: Edition 13's core systems have been poured into its downloadable archive, it's time to get started on the eight character generation books. Yay. Anyway, I did just that for your xxx-mas present today, pouring the most current verbiage from the Character Generation document into this here archive today.

December 24th, 2025: woo, we're on the eve of yet another holiday. Hooray! For this eve of yet another holiday, I've added something to the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable that was never there before. And that is the complete text to Mastering the Game, my book of suggestions for referees of the 4C System, since the original 4C System never even had that before. You're, like, welcome!

December 23rd, 2025: wrapping up an update to the last part of the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable's core systems material that I'd previously plugged into the thing, I poured the most current version of the Living and Dying document's text on top of what was here before. And as it turned out, I managed to miss the last bit, about antagonist Fortune expenditure. Bah! Bah, I say!

December 22nd, 2025: what do you know, it's my birfday! Relentlessly banging away with my effort to rebuild the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable from the ground up, I've seized the most current text of the Advanced Battle Concepts document and plugged it into the mix. Luckily, the verbiage was in better shape than the material from yesterday, so there was less work involved this time 'round.

December 21st, 2025: so today I added the most current text from the Time and Combat document to the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable, and I was a bit disappointed. This because I found that I'd missed a few conversion errors in the text of this thing as I was replacing the old material with this, so I had to fix it up on both. Bleah. I object to this failure on moral grounds!

December 20th, 2025: continuing my effort to build a modernized 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable, I grabbed the current text of the Space and Movement and poured it in to the mix. And what do you know, its tables needed rebuilding from scratch, because they were still from the time when I was doing all the movement speeds and sectors wrong. Or different? Whichever. Bleah, what a mess.

December 19th, 2025: the big project of rebuilding the 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable proceeds apace, so I plugged in all the text from the Rank Values and ACTIONs document today. This actually required considerable effort, since I'd revised ACTs to ACTIONs, and I think I added a bit of extra stuff in there for good measure. I can tell it's been a while since I updated this thing.

December 18th, 2025: hoping to wrap up the Edition 13 text file downloadable by the end of the calendar year, give or take, I kept on it today. This latest batch of work saw me rebuilding the Traits portion of the archive, which involved modernizing the text and streamlining the included tables, as I did in the CASE version. With no rank value names, though, that'll make for some smaller tables.

December 17th, 2025: I copied the CASE text file's table of contents into the Edition 13 downloadable, changing the requisite terms and titles as necessary (I think), since they both will follow an identical structure. I then rebuilt the introduction chapter, since I needed to add the new section about stewardship of Edition 13 and the license and all that jazz, because that was a recent thing.

December 16th, 2025: though I thought I hadn't built a 4C System: Edition 13 text file downloadable, I guess I did after all - I just forgot to port it over from the technohol.com domain. See, this is what happens when you get old, kids. Anyway, I went ahead and plugged it into the new, edition13.com domain, though it looks like modernizing it is going to take some doing. Better than starting over, though.

December 15th, 2025: I've wrapped up my work updating the text file downloadable for the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine today, as I plugged in all the rest of the powers text I hadn't already modernized to date. Until I add more to the CASE, in the event that I actually go about doing so, this thing is finally done. You know, yet again. And now, I can start work on the Edition 13 text file. Ugh.

December 14th, 2025: about three-fourths of the way through the process of adding the current text of the Powers document to my Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable, I've plugged in all the text through the letter R into the mix today. Hooray! This one was also light on tables, only featuring a few for the group spell random results, though tomorrow promises to have most of these.

December 13th, 2025: banging away at the long process of plugging the current text of the Powers document into the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable, I have added all the text beginning with the letter G through that ending with the letter L. Oddly the growth table wasn't all that bad, and the group spell thingerbobs were sparse here. I can't argue with any of that!

December 12th, 2025: oh look, we're starting to rebuild the Powers portion of the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable today! Current progress has brought us from the very beginning through the letter F today, and luckily I only had to rebuild the little group spell random result tables today. Of course, tomorrow I won't be so lucky, what with growth and all coming up.

December 11th, 2025: I've now updated twenty of the twenty-one chapters of the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine to its text file downloadable, for today I plugged in the most recent text of the Quirks and Power Customization chapters from the appendix. Of course, each of these was missing a paragraph or two, as was the Talents document I fixed yesterday, so this turned out to be a good exercise.

December 10th, 2025: moving along at a brisk pace in the rebuild of the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable, I have poured in the most current text of the Contacts and Talents archives today. Sure, I have to delete one talent and add a replacement to the mix yet, but I haven't actually done that writing yet, which is admittedly small, but at least the text file is up to date now.

December 9th, 2025: since I so recently plugged everything from the Combination Character Cookbook and Exobiology 101 into the Costume Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downlaodable, all I needed to do to wrap up the character generation portion of its rebuild was add in the most recent verbiage from the Deionomicon. And I've done just that today, so that 'just' leaves five more chapters!

December 8th, 2025: the penultimate upgrade to the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable's character generation section, I've updated its Manual of the Psi text to its most modern iteration. And that includes one grammatical error I introduced when changing FEATs to ACTIONs via cuts and pasts back in the day. I saw that by random happenstance, so I was luckily able to fix it.

December 7th, 2025: today saw me do a lot more than the usual bit of work on the text file downloadable for the CASE, as I had to actually update the text of the Book of Magic a bit before I could plug its most recent version into the mix. This involved the Faerie school of magic material, since there was a matter of terminology that needed ironing out, now that I've covered Fairies and the Fae.

December 6th, 2025: keeping on with the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable upgrade / overhaul, I've punched in all the current verabiage of the Technical Reference. I have a feeling that most of this stuff was in good order, but having found a huge error while making the previous update, I just wanted to make sure that I didn't make any catastrophic errors here.

December 5th, 2025: I'm so glad I went and pre-rebuilt all the random rolling tables for the various character generation portions of the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable, because the Textbook Character Treatise has a whole lot of them in the thing. But hey, progress! We're almost halfway done with all of this tedius labor. We're getting there! Yaaay!

December 4th, 2025: since I'm done rebuilding the core systems detailed in the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable, it's time to start up on the character generation side of things. Beginning with the basic Character Generation document, I took all its text and plugged it in to the downloadable. And hey, I've already done the tables for it, so bonus?

December 3rd, 2025: I probably already poured the text from Judging the Game into the CASE text file downloadable somewhat recently, but to make sure I actually keep all the text as current as is possible, I plugged it back in again. In the event that my editorial cuts and pastes caused its text to deviate from the archived version, I ensured they both have parity. But hey, no tables!

December 2nd, 2025: smashing my way through the core systems portion of the CASE text file downloadable upgrade, I have worked over the Living and Dying portion of the thing today. This one only had two (admittedly large) tables to sort out, so most of it was just text replacement. But hey, this thing is closer and closer to being sorted out once and for all - assuming I don't add any more to it.

December 1st, 2025: moving along with the big CASE text file downloadable upgrade, I sorted out the Advanced Battle Concepts portion of this thing today. There weren't a ton of tables, but they needed a bit of reformatting to better match everything else I'm doing with the upgrade. The text, however long it may be, wasn't too much of a hassle to clean up, just a whole lot of cutting and pasting.

November 30th, 2025: wrapping up this calendar month, I have continued my efforts on the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable. Today's work has seen me rebuild the Time and Combat portion of the CASE archive, rebuilding its tables to match the rest of the document, and to add any upgrades to the text my editorial cut and paste actions may have inflicted since April.

November 29th, 2025: I know I rebuild a lot of the CASE text file downloadable back in March / April, but I've inflicted another big round of cut and paste things, many of which may not have affected said text file downloadable. Thus, I'm rebuilding it yet again, ideally for the last time. Here's hoping, becuase I really hated revising the tables in the Space and Movement portion of the text.

November 28th, 2025: continuing on in the grand work of rebuilding and finalizing the extant text in the CASE text file downloadable, I rebuilt the archive of the Ranks and ACTIONs document today. There were a lot less tables in this one, so this went relatively quickly. However, I do dread what's coming up tomorrow, for that is liable to be quite the doozy, I tell you what.

November 27th, 2025: with all those horrible random rolling tables sorted out in the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable, it's time I begin to clean up the rest of that thing. I started this by rebuilding the Introduction and the Ability Scores archive, which did involve rebuilding those ability score benchmark tables, though they weren't too horrible.

November 26th, 2025: the last character generation guide in the CASE text file downlaodable, Exobiology 101 features many of the same rolling tables the Combination Character Cookbook does. Thus, replacing all of them was a lot easier than it was in most of my other works, the CCC in particular, since most of this refinement work was a whole lot of cutting-and-pasting.

November 25th, 2025: since I've refined most of the CASE text file downloadable's rolling tables, I copied the extant ones into the Combination Character Cookbook. Of course, these weren't the only tables in the CCC, so I also cleaned up those endemic to that reference, so this wasn't just a cut and paste operation today. Oh sure, there was a bunch of that, but still.

November 24th, 2025: I wrapped up my clean-up of the CASE text file downloadable's various power generation tables, namely by tackling all of those belonging to the Manual of the Psi today. Like the rest, they're all duplicated in the Combination Character Cookbook and Exobiology 101, though each of these seemed to obey their own rules, making them take that much longer. Guh.

November 23rd, 2025: keeping on with the basic refining of the CASE text file downloadable again, I cleaned up and standardized the size of the many and various spell rolling tables from the Book of Magic, since a) they needed it, and b) I re-use them in the Combination Character Cookbook and Exobiology 101. This may be tedious, but it's one of those necessary Technoholic chores.

November 22nd, 2025: continuing this whole 'cleaning up the CASE text file downloadable' thing again, I mainly standardized the transnormal power rolling tables. This took a really long time, but was vital since they're basically duplicated in the Technical Reference, the Deionomicon, the Combination Character Cookbook, and Exobiology 101, save for one minor oddity here and there.

November 21st, 2025: starting the process of cleaning up the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file downloadable, I began by cleaning up the rank rolling tables, the rank gambling tables, the quirks tables, the talents tables, and the contacts tables, so I can make them consistent in each portion of the text file character generation rules going forward.

November 20th, 2025: so there, I'm done with the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on the Combination Character Cookbook. I'm sure I missed a few things what needed converting from CASE to Edition 13 terms, and I'll eventually get around to fixing them, but on my second glance through all this material, it seems I got them all at the moment. So next, I suppose I'll need to do some text file work.

November 19th, 2025: as indicated yesterday, I did a bevy of proofreading on the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on the Combination Character Cookbook. I'm halfway done curently, and oddly I found a couple of odd verbal bumbles that needed fixing - bumbles that I, naturally, backported to the many other files that now featured the text that housed them. And by a couple I mean far too many.

November 18th, 2025: I wrapped up the primary work on the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on the Combination Character Cookbook today. I banged out conversions of the point-based character generation rules and the whole Combinatorial Consideration blurb at the end of the Cookbook this time around. And, as always, this just leaves a giant block of proofreading to do before we're done.

November 17th, 2025: keeping on with the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on the Combination Character Cookbook, I converted everything from the sorcerous power origins section all the way up to the portion with the point-based build guidelines. I even found plenty of grammatical tics that I fixed, in both the CASE and Edition 13 variations on this work and Exobiology 101. Huzzah!

November 16th, 2025: with all ninety-four tables done, I started converting the first portion of the Combination Character Cookbook to 4C System: Edition 13 terms. I went from the beginning straight through to the section on partically technology-based combinations today. And that's not too bad, if I do say so myself. And what do you know, I do, in fact, say so myself.

November 15th, 2025: since I never bothered to do so, having gotten into a writing frenzy on Exobiology 101, I took the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on the Combination Character Cookbook and poured it into an all-new file to build out its 4C System: Edition 13 model! I then replaced all the rolling tables with those from Edition 13's Exobiology 101 file that applied here.

November 14th, 2025: my original plan was to convert the Combination Character Cookbook from its original Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine model over to the 4C System: Edition 13 version, but instead I wrote the last bit for that work: Combinational Consideration. And what do you know, that wrapped up the original, CASE variation on this mighty work as well. Zomgs!

November 13th, 2025: I wrapped up my current work on the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file archive, namely by formatting all ninety-four of the random rolling tables for the Combination Character Cookbook. Of course, many of those have two different versions, so this took longer than I'd have liked, but some was easily ported from Exobiology 101. Hey, it's up to 2.75 megabytes, now!

November 12th, 2025: I did indeed begin working on adding my extant text for the Combination Character Cookbook to the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file archive today. I did all the formatting for all the text besides the laundry list of rolling tables, which got a bit hairy since there's so many bits of text nested within other bits of text. But I got it.

November 11th, 2025: I finished up the process of adding Exobiology 101 to the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file archive, rebuilding all 94 of those random character generation rolling tables. Now at 2.6 megabytes, it includes everything I've written for the system thus far, save for the Combination Character Cookbook I suppose. So guess what I'll be cranking on starting tomorrow?

November 10th, 2025: since writing on the CASE and Edition 13 variations on Exobiology 101 is ostensibly done, I've started stapling together the text file archive for the former. I began by pouring its raw text into the CASE text file, and breaking all of its sections up properly. I also poured the Sample Aliens text files I'd already made into it as well.

November 9th, 2025: since I wrote up the new limitations and enhancements for Exobiology 101, along with that tiny bit of text to tie them together to the rest of the work, I converted that material from Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine terms to 4C System: Edition 13 verbiage. Of course I fixed a bunch of grammar problems as I went, because I was apparently writing too fast, and now its done, too!

November 8th, 2025: wrapping up the last bit of text needed for the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on Exobiology 101, I wrote the text for its two new character enhancements. They include Catalyst, sort of an inverse of the weakness character limitation, and Moxie, one I'd been mulling over for a bit and found it would fit best in this particular reference. Ah, comlpletion!

November 7th, 2025: deciding that I didn't need to make the last bits of Exobiology 101 any more ornate that those in my other character generation guides, I put together the text for two new character limitations that primarily apply to aliens. One is the inversion of the standard Predator character enhancement, Prey, and the other being Sessile, which was features in my Mhunghus sample aliens.

November 6th, 2025: all that remained to proofread in Edition 13's Exobiology 101 text thus far was the systematic (point-based) character generation rules for aliens, along with that little blurb I always put at the end about giving your characters character. Found a few conversion errors which I fixed, but then the systematic instructions are entirely mechanical in nature, so that's to be expected.

November 5th, 2025: I breezed through the rest of the random alien character generation text in my 4C System: Edition 13 variation on Exobiology 101 today, sizing up the text for limitations, enhancements, quirks, talents, contacts, and mundane equipment. Overall there were very few bits what needed fixing here again, for the third day in a row, which makes me quite happy indeed.

November 4th, 2025: I wrapped up my proofreading of the individual power origins for the 4C System: Edition 13 Exobiology 101 character generation rules, which are admittedly most of this work. Heh. I pored over the Psionic, Divine, and Combination origins of power today, and only found a few minor quibbles that needed fixing again. Naturally, I ported them back to the CASE model of Exobiology 101.

November 3rd, 2025: having finished proofreading the preamble of alien character generation for the Exobiology 101's Edition 13 version, I started on the individual power origins today. This round saw me covering Transnormal, Technological, and Sorcerous entities today, and there were only a few minor quibbles I had with the verbiage that needed fixing (and backported to the CASE model).

November 2nd, 2025: moving on with my proofreading of the Edition 13 model of Exobiology 101, I started the long process of checking its How Are They Represented chapter, from its start to the portion where the generation of individual aliens' power origins are detailed. I revised the grammar of one paragraph, but for the most part I did a better job with this than I did the previous text.

November 1st, 2025: being that I've ostensibly converted my CASE Exobiology 101 material for use in Edition 13 of the 4C System, it's time to start proofreading that effort. I began with the who/what/where/when/why sections, naturally, and already found a few bits of version veribiage I neglected to swap over. This is, of course, why I proofread so much - it seems like I'm always doing this.

October 31st, 2025: Happy Halloween or something! So I went back through all my random Talent / Skill rolling tables in the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine and the 4C System: Edition 13 rule sets, and found that I was missing the 'clothier' talent / skill in all of them, its place held with a 'template' block of text. Gragrhgh. So I went through all of those and repaired this issue.

October 30th, 2025: I wrapped up my conversion of the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on Exobiology 101 to Edition 13 of the 4C System today, or at least the text I've written for such thus far, by adding the Systematic character generation guidelines, along with the little blurb about background at the end. That just leaves a big ol' proofreading of this mess to go. Hooray.

October 29th, 2025: Exobiology 101's 4C System: Edition 13 How Are They Represented chapter is coming along nicely, as I've added in the materials for its Limitations, Enhancements, Quirks, Skills, and Contacts rules, along with the follow-up bits at the end for random character generation. And when doing so, I spotted a catastrophic error in the CASE Talents tables I tried to convert over. Grr.

October 28th, 2025: with the previous sections complete, I've plugged all the many and various power / spell / psionic random rolling tables to the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on Exobiology 101. With the way I've wired up the new, game-specific rules sites, this only required a tiny bit of terminology alteration to make them work for the 4C System. So for once, my efforts have paid off.

October 27th, 2025: I've finished plugging in Edition 13's alien power origins necessary for Exobiology 101's How Are They Represented chapter, which is by far the biggest of the bunch. Today's batch involved me plinking in the Psionic, Immortal, and Combination power origins as they relate to aliens, and once again, this involved a medium amount of terminology conversions to the 4C System.

October 26th, 2025: banging away at the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on Exobiology 101, I filled out the sections related to aliens drawing power from transnormal, technological, or sorcerous origins. These were pretty straight-forward, though a bunch of terminology revisions were required, as one would expect. But at least things are proceeding apace on this arm of the projecct.

October 25th, 2025: continuing on with my effort to convert the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on Exobiology 101 to Edition 13 of the 4C System, I completed the How Are They Represented portion through the rank value gambling section. And there I found an embarrassing conversion error on the gambling tables, which I cribbed from the Book of Magic. Sigh. I fixed that, of course.

October 24th, 2025: since I'm still working on how I want to preesnt the last bits of Exobiology 101, I thought I'd stay busy by starting on the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on this work. I began by re-converting the who/what/where/when/why portions of the text, which I had done previously, but I've refined the original a bit since then, so now the extant Edition 13 Exobiology 101 verbiage is golden.

October 23rd, 2025: while I had a short blurb about converting characters into Vampires in their description, and even did the same for Atlanteans, oddly, I oddly never bothered with Ghouls. I think that's because I originally had a different notion for these critters, and never fully bent my head around their new direction needed for the longest time. Anyway, I fixed that omission, too.

October 22nd, 2025: now that I'm done proofreading all three models of my baker's dozen of sample aliens for Exobiology 101, it's time I add all the missing text I noted when doing so. For one thing, I apparently never bothered to write a 'history' blurb for zombies, presumably because I didn't think they needed one at some point. But I've fixed that omission as of today. Hooray!

October 21st, 2025: wrapping up my distressingly thorough deep dive into my Sample Aliens for Exobiology 101, I proofread all three variations on zombies today, since they were the odd man out in this baker's dozen. And aside from a minor goof-up in the QARD version of these horrible thingies, my zombies were up to snuff. But then I did overhaul them a few times relatively recently.

October 20th, 2025: moving along in my vast proofreading of the Exobiology 101 Sample Aliens, I took a gander at the Mhunghus, Pixies, and Vampires this time around. And once again, creeping errors persist in grammar and style that I was convinced I'd already fixed in all three of these. And yet, and yet, here we are fixing them. But at least we're ever-closer to perfection for the QARD models of these.

October 19th, 2025: racing to finish my mega check on the Sample Aliens for Exobiology 101, I've pored over my Quick Action Resolution Deck work for Ghouls, Jl'rtz, and Mechani. Found another bizarre agelessness error on Ghouls, a stylisitc longevity error amongst Jl'rtz, and a few grammatical artifacts in the Mechani that resulted from me only partially restructuring sentences here and there.

October 18th, 2025: banging away at my proofreading, error checking, and style checking of my baker's dozen of Sample Aliens for Exobiolog 101, I took a gander at the Quick Action Resolution Deck variations on Elves, Fae, and Fairies. Found a longevity math error in Elves that eluded me thus far and a similarly elusive history text issue with Fairies, though the fae were oddly okay. Harurmph.

October 17th, 2025: persisting in my incredibly aggravating proofreading of my Exobiology 101 Sample Aliens, I've begun work on the Quick Action Resolution Deck variations on Atlanteans, B'ntri, and Dwarves. While most of the grammatical garbage and generations of missing upgrades to some of these have been finally resolved, I still have a bit of stylistic fixes to make on all three of these.

October 16th, 2025: I'm about done with my review of the 4C System: Edition 13 models of my Exobiology 101 Sample Aliens. This is because I've proofread my variations on Mechani, Pixies, and Vampires, and the latter of these took a lot of work making them align stylistically with the rest. Oh, and I added that bit about inadvertently making ghouls out of the seeming survivors of vampiric attacks.

October 15th, 2025: keepin' on in my vast and frustrating proofreading of my Sample Aliens for Exobiology 101, I've taken my 4C System: Edition 13 descriptions of Ghouls, Jl'rtz, and Mhunghus to task. The latter two of these seemed to only suffer from minor stylistic deviations, but Ghouls needed a new history section written, so I did that. And fixed a bunch of other stuff with them. Ugh.

October 14th, 2025: part two of my proofreading marathon of Exobiology 101's Sample Aliens, I have worked over the 4C System: Edition 13 variations on Elves, Fae, and Fairies. All of these were primarily okay, having been mainly sorted out when I examined their CASE variations and passed changes to it forward, but there was one Edition 13 conversion error I've missed for... years. Sigh.

October 13th 2025: having gone through all the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine models of my Sample Aliens, I started out on their 4C System: Edition 13 variations today. This involved proofreading the Atlanteans, B'ntri, and Dwarves for that system's Exobiology 101, once I get around to writing that at least, and though you'd think I found all their problems, you'd be wrong. So very wrong.

October 12th, 2025: I continue to roll my eyes at some of the errors I'm seeing in the Sample Aliens I've dedicated to Exobiology 101 (and of course Variant Earth 13, to boot). Sure, there are generations of updates with lingering errors I'm finding and fixing, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Anyway, I revised the CASE versions of Mhunghus, Pixies, and Vampires this time around.

October 11th, 2025: aghast at some of my work while proofreading the Sample Aliens for Exobiology 101, I've seen way too much room for improvement when covering the Ghouls, Jl'rtz, and the Mechani. The latter two took a lot more fixing than I'd have liked, and found that the former needed several sections flat-out rewritten. I began that process with their CASE version, but will finish later.

October 10th, 2025: my effort to proofread and error check the thirteen Sample Aliens for Exobiology 101 continues unabated, as today I took a look at the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine models of Elves, Fae, and Fairies. The first two of those needed a decent bit of work, but somehow the fairies were fine, aside from me needing to switch out 'faerie' for 'fae' in most instances.

October 9th, 2025: with the easy portion of Exobiology 101's proofreading complete, I am starting the tedious part of such. This involved poring over the text of the Costume Adventurer Simulation Engine variations on Atlanteans, B'ntri, and Dwarves, the former of which was riddled with grammatical errors. I fixed those, and about two each on the other two descriptions, today.

October 8th, 2025: continuing to bang away at this round of proofreading for Exobiology 101's extant text, I went over everything else before my Sample Aliens component - though I'd like to rename that, if something better occurs to me. Eh. Anyway, I added a small bit to the point-based character generation guidelines which probably wasn't necessary, but I felt it ironed out an outlier condition.

October 7th, 2025: I continued grinding my way through another Exobiology 101 proofreading by poring over the text for the six different origins of power an alien can utilize, ending at the part where you can gamble on your alien's power ranks. I again found a missing word or so, but oddly this text wasn't too bad - but then, I repurposed proofread bits from the Combination Character Cookbook for it.

October 6th, 2025: with another big phase of writing on Exobiology 101 complete, I am doing another round of proofreading on this project. I began this by once again covering the Who / What / Where / When / Why portions at the beginning, along with the first part of the How. I found two words missing, one misspelled, and a bit of phrasing I wanted to change, but it was pretty solid by this point.

October 5th, 2025: I built the Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on the Mechani today, which sets them up to eventually live in my Variant Earth 13 project - not to mention immediately being housed in the Sample Aliens portion of Exobiology 101. So once again, I've completed my baker's dozen of example entiteis for use in that rules reference, leaving me even more proofready goodness.

October 4th, 2025: since I've got my basic model of Mechani done for both Variant Earth 13 and the Exobiology 101's Sample Aliens section, I worked out their 4C System: Edition 13 variation today. The slight bit of reflection between days helped me to further refine the CASE variation's text, and allowed me to catch a minor error I introduced to the Mechani's point cost by my incessant meddling.

October 3rd, 2025: once again striving to complete that 'baker's' part of my dozen of Sample Aliens for Exobiology 101, I've begun my work on yet another of those missing aliens from Variant Earth 13. At least this is making me fill in a few of those blanks, right? Anyway, I now have for you the Costumed Adventurer Simualtion Engine model of the Mechani, a powerful silicon-based life form!

October 2nd, 2025: so yea, I pulled the First Folks out of my Exobiology 101's Sample Aliens section, mainly because they didn't feel like they fit there. Their long history made them seem more like a mythology lesson than a capsule description of a species example, so I left them 'just' in the Myths and Legends thing. Which leaves us with the 'bakers' part of our 'dozen' once again.

October 1st, 2025: I put together my Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on the Fae today, which wraps up that effort for Variant Earth 13 and the Sample Aliens for Exobiology 101. I guess that's thirteen of the suckers for the latter project, though, so I suppose I could call that good. * The asterisk, of course, because I was thinking of replacing one of those with another. Boo.

September 30th, 2025: banging away at Exobiology 101 still, I've completed my 4C System: Edition 13 variation on the fae, having worked out their Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine component yesterday. A bit of reflection helped here, for while there were no grammatical errors to iron out in their CASE original, writing the Edition 13 fae description helped out with my verbiage. Yay!

September 29th, 2025: what do you know, we're on the 'bakers' part of our 'dozen' for the Exobiology 101 Sample Aliens! While they're somewhat powerful and expensive point-wise, I've concocted my description of fae at long last, both for my Variant Earth 13 setting and the aforementioned alien rules compendium. They have a lot of powers, but then again I have to explain their existence.

Septeber 28th, 2025: continuing to clean up the character limitation 'mess' I created when I opted not to make fairies vulnerable to silver in my various rules bits, I've ironed out that hindrance to folks in my descriptions of elves. I hit all three models of these hybrid folk today, which required me recalculate all the point costs for these critters as well, so now they're perfect. Again.

September 27th, 2025: pausing before I move on to the thirteenth Sample Alien for my Exobiology 101 project, I've gone back and revised the mechanical parts of my Pixie descriptions. I removed their problem with silver, since the general consensus online says that's not a thing for fairies, on all three models of these guys. Why weren't y'all on me to fix that earlier, Internet? Again, I say sigh.

September 26th, 2025: my work on fairies is now complete, at least for the moment, as I've stapled together my Quick Action Resolution Deck model of fairies for the Exobiology 101 Sample Aliens chapter - oh, and Variant Earth 13, to boot. Not to mention the whole Planescape bestiary project. Not that they really match the original source material for that thing, but they're close enough.

September 25th, 2025: with my CASE variation on fairies complete at long last, I've worked up a 4C System: Edition 13 version of these horrible creatures. And once again, as so often occurs, I found a litany of tiny little things what needed fixing from the original CASE model. You'd think I'd have gotten a handle on that sort of thing by now, but here we are. Bleh.

September 24th, 2025: taking care of a hole in my Variant Earth 13 coverage for a good long time, and pressing on with my effort to fill out the outstanding material for Exobiology 101, I have produced a Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine model of the fairy. Of course, an executive decision I made with their character limitations is about to ripple back into some other Sample Aliens. Sigh.

September 23rd, 2025: completing my work on the Variant Earth 13 critters calling themselves Jl'rtz, I also wrapped up my eleventh of thirteen Sample Aliens for that chapter of Exobiology 101. In other words, their Quick Action Resolution Deck version is now done, so you can use these energy-based weirdos in whatever game I currently support here, should you desire to do so.

September 22nd, 2025: moving along in the process of finally crafting a description of the Jl'rtz for my Variant Earth 13 setting, albeit only so I can also utilize it in Exobiology 101's Sample Aliens chapter, I whipped up their 4C System: Edition 13 variation today. And as often happens when I do this, I found numerous areas where the extant text for the CASE version could be better.

Septeber 21st, 2025: since I'm all out of aliens I can shoehorn into my Myths and Legends deal, I thought I'd produce one of those aliens I'd been sitting on for decades for the Variant Earth 13 project, though built for use in Exobiology 101 like the previous. Thus, you can now check out my Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine model of the energy-based Jl'rtz at your leisure!

September 20th, 2025: I wrapped up work on the First Folks today, namely by producing their Quick Action Resolution Deck version today. This involved just a bit more proofreading, since this is a fresh Sample Alien template, and not a mere upgrade of old Variant Earth 13 materials. Sure, they also double as Myths and Legends materials, instead, but they sure aren't old. Their descriptions, I mean.

September 19th, 2025: since I've produced their original, Costumed Adventuer Simulation Engine model, it seemed time to continue on with their 4C System: Edition 13 variation today. And I did just that, though in addition to merely converting the first folks from one game system to another, I also performed considerable proofreading on them as I did so, cleaning up all that history text.

September 18th, 2025: with all the existing Variant Earth 13 aliens overhauled to serve as Sample Aliens in Exobiolog 101, I added an all-new CASE description to the site today, this being the First Folks! These guys are the original humans, built by the Anunnaki to do their bidding, until Enlil virtually wiped them all out. Bonus: this also works with my Myths and Legends project!

September 17th, 2025: I'm all done with the extant critters needing repurposing for Exobiology 101's Sample Aliens, as I've concocted their Quick Action Resolution Engine version today. Well, by that I mean I have upgraded it to the point that it fits in with all the other Sample Aliens format-wise, and revised their point cost ever so slightly to account for QARD's new hindrance rules.

September 16th, 2025: keeping on in my effort to overhaul and upgrade my B'ntri aliens for the Sample Aliens portion of Exobiology 101, I stapled together their 4C System: Edition 13 model. As always, the Edition 13 stuff is functionally the same as the CASE material, save for the changes in terminology, so this didn't take me too long. But, you know, it did take some doing.

September 15th, 2025: to conclude my work of converting and upgrade my existing sample aliens from the old Variant Earth 13 format to the slightly more user-friendly Exobiology 101 format, I have produced the Costumed Adventure Simulation Engine variation on the B'ntri, horrible aliens that can subsist on just about any matter - but by far prefer to eat thinking beings.

September 14th, 2025: finishing my work on the final extant critter template I have to convert over to the Exobiology 101 Sample Aliens segment, I have cleaned up my Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on the Mhunghus. I have revised their point cost, as I did with the previous two models of Mhunghus, but aside from a few grammatical fixes these fine fellows were almost good enough as is.

September 13th, 2025: relentlessly banging away at my overhaul of the 4C System: Edition 13 Mhunghus variant, I actually found a few significant errors to correct. Some grammatical issues from their original conversion lingered, as well as references to a few rules bits I've since overhauled and improved upon. But hey, at least I caught all of these things finally, right?

September 12th, 2025: oh boy, I'm almost done converting over my extant aliens from Variant Earth 13 project into Exobiology 101's Sample Aliens segment! Today I started workon my Mhunghus, a species of sessile, psi-active mushrooms slowly spreading across the galaxy. And now they're a part of two different works of mine, as their Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine version has been refreshed!

September 11th, 2025: completing my work on the Atlantean folks I'd initially conceived for my Variant Earth 13 campaign setting, I've upgraded my Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on this theme so they'll function properly within Exobiology 101. Once I get around to building a QARD version of that rule book, at least. Not that I know when I'll ever get around to that.

September 10th, 2025: continuing my work on those Atlantean folks from my old Variant Earth 13 thing, I cleaned up the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on these critters, having done the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine business for them yesterday. Luckily they're a lot less complicated than vampires, so this didn't take me very long at all. Whew.

September 9th, 2025: since I'm two-thirds of the way towards wrapping up my existing sample aliens for Exobiology 101, I have decided to keep banging away at all that business. I started this next leg of the job by poring over what I'd written for my Variant Earth 13 Atlanteans, and since I've shifted limitations around a bit, I had to adjust all their point totals to make them work right.

Septemebr 8th, 2025: wrapping up both this Technoholic month as well as my work on vampires, I've seriously overhauled my Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on these undead monstrosities. Using my revised guidelines on limitations for these guys as a baseline, I drastically reduced the point cost required when generating vampires, which might make them vaguely more appealing to players.

Septemer 7th, 2025: moving along with the heavy lifting portion of my sample alien revisions, I've once again worked up the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on my vampires. Found a few errors to clean up on this one that I backported over to the CASE version of these monsters, and after a bevy of proofreading I find I'm happy with these critters. You know, once again.

Septemer 6th, 2025: perhaps the single most dense sample alien description I need to revise for inclusion within Exobiology 101 is what I'd crafted for the classical, blood-drinking vampire. I made numerous changes to these fellows for the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine, but somehow I only altered their base point cost by one; I guess I was close to the mark on these guys.

September 5th, 2025: what do you know, I'm done cleaning up my descriptions of dwarves. That's because I have revised my Quick Action Resolution Deck variety of dwarf today, which saw me drastically lowering their point cost. There was probably a reason I had them listed with a cost of ten points higher than it ought to have been, but at least they've been corrected now. Yay?

September 4th, 2025: banging away at my revisions of dwarves for the various versions of Exobiology 101 that will ultimately grace my websites, I have wrapped up my 4C System: Edition 13 variation on these fellows today. Since these are functionally the same as the fellows from yesterday, I just had to make sure I ported my changes to the CASE model of dwarves over to this one.

September 3rd, 2025: eagerly anticipating the completion of the outstanding to-do list on my rules work, I began cleaning up my descriptions of dwarves today. The first step of this, as always, was to sort out my Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on this theme, ever so slightly tweaking the point cost of these fellows again, because of the longevity thing.

September 2nd, 2025: completing my work on the revision of standard elves, I cleaned up their Quick Action Resolution Deck variation today. This involved a lot of re-conversion as I replaced old QARD text with new CASE text, and then another point cost revision, since apparently I was forgetting the exception to the 'minimum cost of one point' per power where things like longevity are concerned.

September 1st, 2025: resuming my work on updating and streamlining my descriptions of boilerplate elves, I have cleaned up their 4C System: Edition 13 variation today. This didn't take too much work, though I did a lot of text replacement from the CASE version of these critters that I'd already revised, so there was a bit of re-conversion work that I had to undertake. Ah well.

August 31st, 2025: wrapping up the month of August, which I didn't even think I'd be able to spend here, I began to move my existing descriptions of elves over to the new formatting I'm using for alien character templates. Today's effort saw me completing this work for the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variant on these critters, making a slight correction to their base point cost.

August 30th, 2025: one thing I noticed while fixing up the links at the bottom of my three variations on the Pixie is that I never bothered to clean those up on my Ghoul and Zombie upgrades, and thus those links didn't actually work. As such, I dug around in the various sites dedicated to my various models of custom role-playing games to rectify that issue forthwith. Forthwith!

August 29th, 2025: wrapping up my recent work on my variations on the Pixie, I have rebuilt their Quick Action Resolution Deck model today. As it turned out, I ultimately revised their QARD base cost total, reducing it by 3.5. Thus, anyone who builds a Pixie charater can now dedicate those point savings to something else on their character now. Who doesn't like seemingly free stuff?

August 28th, 2025: since I've begun the process of upgrading my Pixie descriptions to the newer format, I completed this work for their 4C System: Edition 13 variation today, having done the same for the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine version yesterday. As usual, this only involved a minor bit of upgradery to make the Edition 13 model work the way I would like.

August 27th, 2025: still banging my head against the rest of Exobiology 101's content formatting, I'm continuing my effort to populate its section on sample aliens, starting out with the Pixie! I've refined my text for these formerly human beings slightly, to better match my current style on basic alien descriptions, but inexplicably I managed to get their point cost right. Hooray!

August 26th, 2025: wrapping up my work on zombies yet again I know, I updated the Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on this undead theme with the effective cost of each power, once all those limitations are applied. I had to recalculate the point cost of a base zombie, however, since I was foolishly doing a thing with hand size and limitations, but I'll save that for later.

August 25h, 2025: so zombies. Yet again. Cleaned up their 4C System: Edition 13 variation today. Since Edition 13 and the CASE are functionally identical, or will be once I fix Edition 13's movement issue, the point cost of these critters should be the same. And it is. So I updated the .5 point discrepancy to get them as perfect as they can be. Uh, some more.

August 24th, 2025: one of the last loose ends I've got here on the 13 is, coincidentally, something partially housed in Exobiology 101. As such, I gave my Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on zombies some effort today. I added the power cost of each of their abilities into the text, and as it so happens I found I was .5 points short on my zero point base cost. Whoops!

August 23rd, 2025: this time around, I've completed my first proofreading of Exobiology 101's How Are The Represented chapter. Yay! I concentrated on the point-based rules blurb, since that's the one I did the most work on when porting it over from the Combination Character Cookbook, but overall I didn't do a crummy job on it. Well, I'll think that until I proofread it again, I'm sure.

August 22nd, 2025: I continued my effort to proofread the How Are They Represented chapter of Exobiology 101 today, now having completed it through the power rolling tables. Hooray! Of course, while I fixed a couple things that were unique to my Exobiology 101 text, I found a couple more silly flubs in the text that came straight from the Combination Character Cookbook again, so I fixed those over there, too.

August 21st, 2025: since the entirety of Exobiology 101's How Are They Represented chapter is suddenly complete, I have begun giving it a thorough proofreading, since I banged it together in a bit of a hurry. And as you can guess, I found a bunch of silly little errors to fix. Some of them even came from the text in the Combination Character Cookbook, so I made some fixes to that as well.

August 20th, 2025: I crafted the systematic (point based) directions for building alien characters in the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine today, mainly utilizing the pertinent material from the Combination Character Cookbook for that necessary in Exobiology 101, but with some important distinctions. That and the equpiment, transnormal origin adjustments, and filling in the blanks, wraps it up!

August 19th, 2025: keepin' on with my work on Exobiology 101's character generation rules, I've ported over the common bits about talents, contacts, and quirks today, adding a paragraph to the second of those three today. Aside from the word replacement deal I've had to undertake with some of the previous portions of this effort, there wasn't much more I had to take care of here.

August 18th, 2025: the next thing in line for the character generation rules in Exobiology 101 is the sections on Limitations and Enhancements. Of course, I also had to plug in all of those power / spell / psionic random rolling tables, but I didn't need to change a single thing to make them go. So I didn't! Which is good, because that is about 2/3 of Exobiology 101's file size. Eesh.

August 17th, 2025: today I wrote a portion of Exobiology 101's alien character generation process that I couldn't port over from the Combination Character Cookbook. This is the sub-chapter of How Are They Represented dedicated to Combination characters, since I needed to write this in relation to alien beings from scratch; none of the extant text really applied to these complicated characters.

August 16th, 2025: I ported over the portion of my Combination Character Cookbook dedicated to divine power origins today, plugging it into the How Are They Represented portion of Exobiology 101. While my personal experience with immortal aliens in fiction isn't all that great, it does happen often enough that it does need proper coverage. And what am I, but someone ready to cater to everyone's fictional whims?

August 15th, 2025: today I have slid the psionic power origin rules from the Combination Character Cookbook over to Exobiology 101 today. While aliens aren't necessarily filled to the brim with psionics, this origin of power is often showcased in science fiction tales - which also tend to feature aliens. So I guess they're just as important as anything else I've plugged into this work already.

August 14th, 2025: I ported over the portion of the Combinaton Character Cookbook dedicated to sorcerous origins of power to Exobiology 101's How Are They Represented chapter today. This was about as important as the previous portion of this work, as aliens intruding on our universe are armed with magic spells or artifacts as often as not - depending on what kind of fiction you prefer, I suppose.

August 13th, 2025: today I ported the portion of the Combinaton Character Cookbook related to technological power origins over to my quickly forming character generation portion of Exobiology 101 today. This one was probably more important than the rest, since most aliens that show up in campaigns feature at least some kind of high tech frippery to go along with whatever inherent abilities their kind possess.

August 12th, 2025: I ported the portion of the Combinaton Character Cookbook related to transnormal power origins to Exobiology 101 today, most of which involved a slight bit of word replacement (alien for combination, that sort of thing). I had to root out every instance of the word 'posthuman' as well, though, since the vast majority of alien entities won't have any common history with humanity. Beh.

August 11th, 2025: continuing on with the How Are They Represented chapter of Exobiology 101, I added the bit where alien characters in the making can be assigned additional origins of power, if the player behind them wishes to. And that is why I needed to wrap up the Combination Character Cookbook's character generation rules before working on this, you see. They're both very similar.

August 10th, 2025: being that I'm at a temporary impasse in the Combination Character Cookbook, I started working on the character generation rules required for Exobiology 101's How Are They Represented chapter. I began this effort by working out how one should make aliens, describing the process of picking how many, if any, inherent powers the alien character will possess.

August 9th, 2025: so I completed my proofread of the existing text for the Combination Character Cookbook today. This involved me running all of that through a spell check, which I've apparently been forgetting to do, a process that turned up an inordinate amount of spelling errors. It even revealed one I missed in the tables for the Book of Magic, so I fixed that up as well!

August 8th, 2025: I've completed my manual pass-through of the Combination Character Cookbook's existing text, namely by wrapping up my efforts in the Some Assembly Required chapter. I did this by checking the text and tables for talents and contacts, then the equipment and backstory sections, and finally the systematic (point-based) character generation process for combinations.

August 7th, 2025: focused like a laser on my proofreading of the existing Combination Character Cookbook text, I made great strides cleaning up errors in the Some Assembly Required chapter. I wrapped up looking at the magical spell and psi power generation tables, and then pressed on by checking out the text (and rolling tables) for limitations, enhancements, and quirks.

August 6th, 2025: relentlessly continuing my effort to proofread the Combination Character Cookbook's current progress, I kept working on the Some Assembly Required portion of the mix. I wrapped up a look-through of the text dedicated to Magical and Psionic power origins, and began ensuring I didn't bungle any of the tables to generate posthuman, high tech, and divine powers.

August 5th, 2025: moving along in the great proofreading of the Combination Character Cookbook's extant text, I started working on the Some Assembly Required chapter. I worked my way through the first bit of text, going through the common character generation areas, and worked my way through the verbiage for Transnormals, Technologicals, and Immortals this time around.

August 4th, 2025: continuing my effort to proofread what I've concocted thus far for the Combination Character Cookbook, I wrapped up my read through of its No Assembly Required chapter. This half of the chapter had a lot less errors than I saw in the first half, which makes me feel better. Unless that means I missed a bunch of stuff again, which isn't at all helpful.

August 3rd, 2025: since I'm ostensibly two-thirds of the way done with the Combination Character Cookbook, I figured it behooved me to give what I've done a preliminary proofreading. I thus started this process at the beginning, working my way through the first half of No Assembly Required. And yeah, I found a bunch of errors I've made over the last few days. Hooray.

August 2nd, 2025: oh yeah, I realized I hadn't completed table 1a in the Some Assembly Required chapter of the Combination Character Cookbook, so I did that today. I had to ponder how I actually wanted to present that, and figured it would be easier to list the stuff from No Assembly Required, and then allude to what's eventually coming in Combinatorial Considerations down the line.

August 1st, 2025: today I finished up the No Assembly Required chapter of the Combination Character Cookbook, namely by producing the bullet point character generation summary of the Jack of All Trades! Being the kitchen sink of power origin usage, Jacks can draw from any and every origin as they see fit during, during character generation at least, so it utilize the entire Cookbook.

July 31st, 2025: wrapping up my effort to build bullet point character generation instruction summaries for the extant combinations listed in the No Assembly Required portion of the Combination Character Cookbook, I spelled out the process to create a numenplyer in the Costumed Adventure Simulation Engine. They were different from the rest I built, but admittedly easier to staple together.

July 30th, 2025: finishing bullet point character generation summaries for those extant combination types focused on psionics, I've plugged rules for psychoturges into the Combination Character Cookbook's No Assembly Required chapter today. These folks are about as complex as thaumentalists, at least where sorting out what powers the player generating one can use, but it's sorted now.

July 29th, 2025: relentlessly pursuing my completion of the No Assembly Required portion of the Combination Character Cookbook, I have added another bullet point character generation instruction summary for one of the extant combination types. Today's addition saw technopsis plugged into the mix, as they were a relatively easy bit of reference to add, as were the deionicists yesterday.

July 28th, 2025: having sorted out the magic-oriented combination summaries covered in the Combination Character Cookbook's No Assembly Required chapter, it's time to move onto those that are weighted more heavily towards psionics. The first of these is the deionicist, who is pretty simple as combinations go, being that access to the theonic discipline is what sets them apart from regular psis.

July 27th, 2025: still banging away at the Combination Character Cookbook, I've plugged in a third bullet point character generation process to the No Assembly Required chapter. This one was for the thaumentalist, which is a much more complicated combination than the previous two, since these wizards also have the ability to master psionics. You know, if they feel like it.

July 26th, 2025: keeping on in my work on the Combination Character Cookbook, I'm adding another bullet point character generation instruction for the combination types listed in No Assembly Required. Today's focus is on the technomage, which is a different proposition from clerics altogether, though in the end I didn't have to change things up too much for them here.

July 25th, 2025: wrapping up this round of my work on the CCC, I've begun building the capsule character generation listings for those combination character types mentioned in the No Assembly Required chapter of this reference. Namely, I covered the bullet point directions for building clerics in the Cookbook today, whether using the standard type or other god-ouched schools.

July 24th, 2025: finding the plot I lost over the last day or so, I resumed work on the Combination Character Cookbook's Some Assembly Required chapter, giving the lot of it a good old fashioned proofreading. Found a ton of glitches to fix, particularly in the point-based rules portion of this work, to better make it fit with characters drawing from multiple origins of power.

July 23rd, 2025: so I went to plug the fixed text from the Transnormal Treatise's character generation text into the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine text file archive, at which point I found the stuff I was replacing... wasn't even there. I apparently bungled my archiving of the Treatise, so I had to go ahead and fix that up as well. Hoo boy, that's great.

July 22nd, 2025: perusing the text I poured in to finish the Some Assembly Required chapter of the Combination Character Cookbook, I covered everything but the point-based character gneeration text. Doing so, I found an error in the Transnormal Treatise's character generation text, since I stole stuff from there, so I went ahead and fixed that up.

July 21st, 2025: continuing on in my effort to complete the Combination Character Cookbook's Some Assemblly Required chapter, I plugged in the rest of the text required for that. That includes the talents, contacts, and the rest, along with the point-based rules-y thing. I'm trying to account for everything one should knwo when building combinations with points, but we'll see.

July 20th, 2025: switching back to the Combination Character Cookbook, I've begun placing the rest of the character generation content into Some Assembly Required. Today's effort consists of the limitations, enhancements, and quirks material, whose text seems pretty common to all my other character generation guides. In other words, this didn't take too much effort.

July 19th, 2025: I found a few more variations on the base 4C System over the last few days, so I went ahead and added links to those on the Edition13.com site. These include the French version of the game, Système 4C, which features all-new art along and a few sample characters, and the 4C System Libre Edition, which replaces the copyrighted art in the original .pdf with free stuff.

July 18th, 2025: with the whole 1985 Autobot roster wrapped up at long last, assuming I don't come back and fiddle with things here and there (not that I would ever do that), I took time out to build their text file archives today - one for each variation on a theme. Of course, I also included those rare tech spec things I found for some of the oddballs, for good measure.

July 17th, 2025: wrapping up my work on the Dinobots, as well as the 1985 Autobot roster, I've concocted my descriptions of Grimlock. Other than figuring out how to properly describe his personality and behavior, I didn't really have to go out of my way to put him together. Even though I kept wanting to call him a Tyrannosaurus Tex for some reason. Got to love typos!

July 16th, 2025: today I made the penultimate addition to the Dinbots' roster, as well as that of the 1985 Autobots as well. That's because I completed my descriptions of Slag today, him being the single most unpleasant member of the team (either one), bar none. The only reason he isn't a Decepticon is that he marginally likes the Dinobots. Which is saying a lot for someone like him.

June 15th, 2025: keeping on with my 1985 Autobot efforts, I've put together a third Dinobot description today. This fellow was Sludge, the brontosaurus of the bunch. He's not all that bright, which is saying something for a Dinobot, but he means well. And he loves to wreck things. In a seismic fashion, radiating waves of savage destruction whenever he's allowed to.

July 14th, 2025: getting back to the 1985 Autobot roster, I've worked on another of my favorites of the bunch: the Dinobots! This time around, I added Snarl to the mix, the Dinobot that can transform into a stegosaurus. And of course I thoroughly enjoyed building his descriptions, and not only because I finally got to use the word 'thagomizer' in one of my works!

July 13th, 2025: wrapping up this batch of work on the Combination Character Cookbook for now, I've plugged in all the random psionics rolling tables from the Manual of the Psi into the Some Assembly Required chapter. That gets us all the way up to table 75, not counting tables with two different variations on a theme, so we're really moving along fast now!

July 12th, 2025: continuing on in the Combination Character Cookbook's Some Assembly Required chapter, I inserted all the random rolling tables for those characters that have access to spells. I even included the optional entreaty spell table from the Entreaty Spells document, should players in a given campaign have access to magic that draws power from the Anunnaki.

July 11th, 2025: since I'm done with the bare-bones instructions required for combination characters to dip their toes into the five different origins of power, its time to start plugging in all those rolling tables. I began this with my work on the standard powers tables, which accounts for transnormal, technological, and immortal character power selections.

July 10th, 2025: hitting a happy milestone on my work in the Combination Character Cookbook's Some Assembly Required chapter, I wrapped up the combination variations on the five origins of power it draws from, namely those belonging to divine beings! Luckily, aside from sorting out text for the individual deific origins, this hewed pretty close to the material for the transnormal origins from earlier.

July 9th, 2025: continuing my work on the Some Assembly Required portion of the Combination Character Cookbook, I hammered out the process combination characters wielding psi powers use to determine which they'll begine play with. This is a capsule description of the normal psi character generation process, but it is slightly different when it's a combination character doing it.

July 8th, 2025: sliding back into my work on the Combination Character Cookbook, I began by looking back at what I've already written for the Some Assembly Required chapter. In other words, I gave the extant text another pass through, shoring up my verbiage and cleaning up one or two slightly confusing bits of text to be more clear. And now, on with the new stuff!

July 7th, 2025: since I'm out of robots that turn into cars for the 1985 Autobot roster, I guess it's time to finally start working on those robots from that year what turn into dinosaurs! Yep, it's Dinobot time, and I began my work on that team of malcontents by producing descriptions of the one and only Swoop - the only nice guy out of the bunch, when you get down to it.

July 6th, 2025: what do you know, I'm all out of vehicles to cover for the 1985 Autobot roster, for I've crafted a trio of descriptions for Tracks! I was happy to finally cover this fellow, because he used an original mold - or, at the very least, wasn't used as many times as, say, Tracks, or Hoist, or Grapple, or Smokescreen, or or or or or or or or or. In other words, it was a bit of new.

July 5th, 2025: relentlessly pursuing my goal of wrapping up those 1985 Autobots before I drop dead or something, I've concocted three variations on a description of Smokescreen tonight. I lifted a lot of his 'base' material from his mold-mates, Bluescreen and Prowl, but in the end had to customize most of it to better fit Smokescreen anyway. But at least he's done.

July 4th, 2025: hey, what do you know, it's Independence Day! I suppose that it's fitting, then, that I have crafted a description of Twin Twist day, one of the single most destructive Autobots you'll ever met. He loves nothing more than to wreck everything around him, whether or not it's alive, and will go out of his way to smash particularly impressive items in his vicinity!

July 3rd, 2025: continuing on in my effort to complete the 1985 Autobot roster before I die of old age, I have completed three variations on a description for Warpath today. I took a bit of additional time with Warpath though, because every now and then I like to rewrite parts of my 'stock' powers and such so I'm not endlessly repetitive, and today saw me doing just that.

July 2nd, 2025: picking up my character work once more, I have returned my attention to the 1985 Autobots. Today's focus involved my creation of three variations on Red Alert, which I mostly lifted from my entries for Sunstreaker. But hey, they're both Lamborghinis, as is their other brother, Sideswipe. I think they're all family, anyway. The 'canon' is half and half on all that.

July 1st, 2025: wrapping up this block of work on the Combination Character Cookbook's Some Assembly Required chapter, I've hashed out the blurb needed for combinations that wield magic. As it turns out, I'm happy with the overal notion of the design for the Cookbook now, so I didn't have to fiddle with any of that, much less rearrange it all from the ground up. Yay!

June 30th, 2025: so yeah, you'll note that my design for the Combination Character Cookbook is still fluid, as I have gone with a hybrid layout, putting some of the tables necessary for the Some Assembly Required chapter back into the related text. Of course, I then moved on to hammer out the text blurb giving instructions for making combination characters with some technological aspects.

June 29th, 2025: I'm still banging away at the meat of the Combination Character Cookbook, and decided on what (I hope) is a better manner with which to arrange the text. Ooh, design work! Thus, I reordered everything I'd written thus far, and then continued on to write the entire sub-section of Some Assembly Required dedicated to combinations with transnormal components.

June 28th, 2025: moving on with the Combination Character Cookbook, I worked out the blurb for combination ability scores. Luckily, I only seemed to use three different sets of instructions on these throughout the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine, so working this out was a lot less complicated than, say, what I originally pulled out of my butt on the 26th. Hooray!

June 27th, 2025: on hindsight, I found that all of the tables I mentioned yesterday were... excessively convoluted, and left a lot of potential origins of power that a combination character might have which feature no actual powers to speak of. Thus, I radically simplified this process, simply leaving the notion of which powers go where in the player's purview. Simplicity!

June 26th, 2025: checking back in on the Combination Character Cookbook, having had a bit of time to ponder how I wanted to assemble the Some Assembly Required chapter, I began to write! Thus far, I've knocked out the first two portions of the text, along with a series of tables that help determine how many powers are assigned to a character's various origins of power.

June 25th, 2025: I am completing this round of character updates here on the 13 by adding my fifteenth (out of twenty-five) Autobots from 1985 to the mix. This fellow is Topspin, one of the two Jumpstarters that were offered during that year, and he's a pill. He's a robot who takes the form of an alien car/boat/plane... thing. Sort of the ultimate all-terrain vehicle, I guess.

June 24th, 2025: as my penultimate update for this round of character work, I've produced for all y'all three variations on a description of Seaspray! Aside from the whole 'writing' portion of the work I did, Seaspray wasn't too hard to sort out for me. I only had to deviate slightly from my Transcribing Transformers thing to make him work, and that was just with his radar/sonar sensors.

June 23rd, 2025: keeping my focus on new Transformer character descriptions today, since I have a specific agenda in mind there, I put together three different versions of Inferno! Of course, in keeping with their history, I lifted a lot of Grapple's text to build Inferno, though in doing so I found a bunch of dumb errors on that fellow that I then fixed. So win-win, right?

June 22nd, 2025: continuing my work on the roster of 1985 Autobots, I took a long look at Omega Supreme today. I've built the three variations I usually do for this fine, upstanding fellow, and got to explain his unique transformation scheme using the dyad power. This amuses me greatly, as I built that weird ability to describe Gishzida, and haven't even covered that ancient deity yet!

June 21st, 2025: with all the other distractions in this project out of the way for the time being, it's time I start building some fresh Transformer character descriptions in earnest. To this end, I resumed my original plan for the 1985 Autobots since I inadvertently skipped ahead in line, and I have produced an all-new spread for the one and only Powerglide!

June 20th, 2025: I wrapped up the verification of my 1984 Decepticon character descriptions back on the 13th or whatever, so today I rebuilt the various 1984 Decepticon text file archives today. This mostly just involved placing the new versions of the files in each, though I did have to update each readme.txt file for each archive again, since they were way outdated.

June 19th, 2025: with only one (public) variation on the Entreaty Spells document needing overhauled, I finally got to the Quick Action Resolution Deck permuation of the thing up to spec. It wasn't as easy as yesterday, though, because I had to do a much more granular bit of text replacement to fix it all up. I think I got it though, so this task should be finally done.

June 18th, 2025: with the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on Entreaty Spells up to snuff, it's time to get the other two going properly. Thus I cloned the extant CASE text into the 4C System: Edition 13 variation on this theme, which mainly just involved a massive cut and paste of the whole thing, changing a bit of version-specific terminology to fit properly.

June 17th, 2025: I wrapped up my lastest proofing of the CASE Entreaty Spells document today. Made a few minor grammatical improvements to the references portion at the bottom, and I greatly clarified the text to Tramplede. I personally love this ridiculous spell, but found the actual mechanical effect was a bit confusing, so I cleaned it up a bunch. Sorry!

June 16th, 2025: blasted through twenty-five (count 'em) of the entreaty spells presented in the CASE variation on the Entreaty Spells document today. There was one html flub, a few minor revisions to the actual text of a few of the entreaty spells, and a critictal error in the entreaty spell version of Internal Universe what needed fixing. Could've been worse, I suppose.

June 15th, 2025: I continued my work on the Entreaty Spells text today, namely covering the bullet lists of obscure gods, cleaning up the bits that previously referred to Adad instead of Teshub, and the first third of the entreaties listed. Most of the problems were with the framing text in the document, not the spells themselves, so that's a bit comforting, at least.

June 14th, 2025: when casually referencing something on the CASE Entreaty Spells document, I noticed a bunch of... oddities. Weird things that escaped my previous rounds of proofreading, both on the document and in the actual spells referenced. As such, I began another read through of the thing, and went over the beginning bits before the actual spells first.

June 13th, 2025: hey, what do you know? I've wrapped up my work to verify the Generation 1 Transformers I'd written previously were built correctly. This is because I have proofread what I wrote for Rumble today, and though his ability scores were wrecked in all his many variations, I fixed them up today and added his design notes. Hurray, I'm done with this!

June 12th, 2025: banging away at the original cassette warriors, I have perused my writings related to Ravage today. For the most part, I had his stuff built on the nose, though I had to slightly tweak his QARD ability scores. I just added in his design notes blurb to wrap him up once and for all. You know, for like the fifth time now. But at least he's finished?

June 11th, 2025: hitting the middle of the road in my last block of Generation 1 character descriptions what needed another round of error checking, I have perused what I've written for Laserbeak today. I seem to have slightly bungled some of his QARD ability scores, but otherwise he seems on the nose. Just had to add his design notes, which were close to Buzzsaw's.

June 10th, 2025: continuing on in my effort to finally wrap up my work on the extant Generation 1 Transformers listed here on the 13, I took a hard look at Frenzy today. I didn't get his QARD ability scores quite right, so I fixed those, but the only other thing I needed to do was add his design notes, mentinoing notes about all the mini-cassettes being mini-cons for some reason.

June 9th, 2025: since I only have a handful of these left to error check, I gave Buzzsaw another pass through today. I found a grammatical flub in his personality blurb, a lack of an (s) after his QARD resistances blurb, and of course added in his CASE design notes, since that's where I always start with these things. But aside from those, he was doing fine.

June 8th, 2025: so I went to build a brand-new description of a Transformer today, but somehow I slipped out of order. I was thinking 'Autobot plane' in my head, and for some reason skipped over Powerglide to jump right at Jetfire! I'm not sure what I was thinking there, but since he's done, feel free to check him out at your leisure. Hope you dig him!

June 7th, 2025: as it so happens, when I started porting the Variant Earth 13 stuff over to the new sites they'll be living on, I never updated their Master Roster entries either. As such, I went ahead and did that today, and it would seem that I have let a typo stand in Agent Deathmonger's listing for years. YEARS. Sorry about that, but at least I fixed it?

June 6th, 2025: I wrapped up the long and tedious effort to properly point the Myths and Legends entities linked to in my Master Roster to their new homes on caserpg.com, edition13.com, and qardgame.com. Oh, I also did the same thing for my Ghouls and Zombies roster entries as well, which was critical since I'd renamed those 'greater' zombies into ghouls. Oy, I'm behind.

June 5th, 2025: while I fixed up the main index pages for the Myths and Legends thing, I never updated the Master Roster to reflect all that. To resolve this issue, I started rebuilding the individual roster entries for each of those divine things, each of which now showcases the most current variation on those entities I've described to date.

June 4th, 2025: sort of how things went on the 3rd, I never actually got around to linking the Myths and Legends thing over to the various sub-sites I grew out of technohol.com to protect my rules-y work in the event of copyright overreach. I went ahead and did that job today though, and made a note on the Myths and Legends page letting folks know about the new domains.

June 3rd, 2025: as it so happens, I never got around to pointing the links in the Custom Rule Systems document to their new locations after I moved them to the other sites they now live on. Thus, I cleaned up the text in that thing, changed all the extant links to point to the correct, current addresses, and then added Judging / Mastering the Game to the mix.

June 2nd, 2025: I had to make a change to the main Technohol.com default document today, as I just found out that Revolvermaps, those people behind the little globey thing I had on the bottom of the home page, has shut down. Sad! I really liked that goofy little thing, and don't even know what to put on the landing location in its place, but at least it's not trying to run now.

June 1st, 2025: wrapping up this wave of revisions to my extant Generation 1 Transformer descriptions, and the second to last I need to do overall, I looked at what I threw together previously for Soundwave today. And hey, aside from needing a bit of overhaul where his Growth and Shrinking power descriptions were concerned, I fixed up his QARD ability scores a bit.

May 31st, 2025: while I think it aged me a few years, I believe I have finally perfected my various descriptions of Reflector! I found Tech Specs of as much value as those for the Powerdashers, and expanded upon what I'd previously written for Spectro, Spyglass, and Viewfinder. I like what I came up with for these unique Decepticons, and hope you do as well!

May 30th, 2025: keeping on with my effort to polish up the 1984 Decepticon character descriptions I've built so far, I went over what I wrote for Thundercracker today. I had to adjust his ability scores a bit, since I think I used the wrong Tech Spec to build his descriptions, but I've for him (and thus all the Seekers) up to snuff again!

May 29th, 2025: continuing my look at the 1984 Deception descriptions I've wrought thus far, I gave Starscream the hairy eyeball today. Aside from fixing his Growth and Shrinking blurb, I verified that I used the correct set of Tech Specs to produce his ability scores and damage from assorted attack powers. Looks like I had him on the nose for once.

May 28th, 2025: resuming my effort to finish perfecting my last extant Transformers descriptions, at least those from the Generation 1 lineup, I took a hard look at Skywarp today. I think I fixed him properly, sorting out his Growth and Shrinking text, and lowered his Reason to better match his actual Tech Specs, which were apparently a bit wonky.

May 27th, 2025: since I've finally completed the 1984 roster of Autobots, yet again, it's time to move on to new Autobot descriptions from 1985! That's right, today I've added Grapple to the mix, the powerful yet gullible architect that the team relies upon to build its really big things. Unlike its smaller things, which Wheeljack is usually to blame for, anyway.

May 26th, 2025: wrapping up my latest modification to my descriptions of ghouls, I have added the point costs to each ghoul power in my Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on this theme. Of course, I had to change the point cost for one of these critters to forty-three, since I also changed how I'm about to handle hindrances, augmentations, and traits in this system.

May 25th, 2025: what do you know, it's time to wrap up this round of Mesopotamian effort. In other words, I've built my Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on Gugalanna, which required a lot more work than the previous one. Also, I found tons of grammatical flubs that needed fixing, which of course I again backported to the other two versions of the Celestial Bull.

May 24th, 2025: continuing my work on my various ghoul descriptions, I've gone over my 4C System: Edition 13 variation today. This basically involved performing the same work I did two days ago, since luckily the point costs for the CASE and Edition 13 stuff is identical for the most part. I also fixed the text file linkage since it was broken.

May 23rd, 2025: since I've built my CASE variation on Gugalanna, I thought I should go ahead and work out his 4C System: Edition 13 version as well. As I often do, I found an odd error in his original description, so this new permutation on the theme fixed it, and then shoved that change right back to the original. So hey, the Celestial Bull is even more perfect!

May 22nd, 2025: since I liked how I wrote the description of the Bashmu, I thought I'd retro-fit some of the innovation there to my extant materials. Thus, I picked up my CASE variation on the Ghoul, and added the little bits indicating how much each power costs after limitations and whatnot. Figured that'd be easier for folks to check their math when building one.

May 21st, 2025: switching gears, I'm doing a bit of not-Transformer character work for a bit. To start with, I've built a brand new divine description for my Myths and Legends thing, covering Gugalanna's CASE variation today. The Celestial Bull himself, Gugalanna is the deceased first husband of Ereshkigal, and is the power behind the Tramplede entreaty spell.

May 20th, 2025: since I'm all done verifying my work on Autobots, it's time to work over what I've written for the Decepticons so far! Since there's nobody better to start with, I began this work on their leader, Megatron. And as it so happened, he needed effort to make him make sense, even if said effort slightly deviated from the standard process I use.

May 19th, 2025: so apparently the last Autobot I saved for error checking turned out to be the single worst one of the bunch. For some reason, I built descriptions of Hot Rod a good long time ago, and... the whole Targetmaster thing I bumbled together didn't fit with what I wrote in Transcribing Transformers. Thus, I partially rebuilt all three versions of the guy.

May 18th, 2025: looks like I'm done overhauling the small amount of 1985 Autobots I've already covered, because today I've verified that my description of Whirl is on the nose. And it was! Not only did I get the standard, CASE version of Whirl right, but I also got his QARD variation perfect as well. Thus, I just had to revise his growth / shrinking blurb. Yay!

May 17th, 2025: I'm fast running out of Autobot character descriptions what need checking on, as today I've overhauled my work on Roadbuster! His numbers were on the nose, in all three variations of the 'bot, so I just had to refine his growth / shrinking blurb, as well as add the design notes to his CASE variation. only two more of these guys to go. Woo!

May 16th, 2025: since I'm finally done with the 1984 Autobots, er, again, it's time for me to rebuild their various text file archives! And I've done just that, adding the seven new folks that weren't there before, along with the tech spec images I uncovered to build these jokers. They're in the CASE version of the archive, in case you're at all interested.

May 15th, 2025: at long last, I have once again completed my work on the 1984 roster of Autobots. This is because I've crafted the seventh additional Autobot what seemed to belong here, that being Bumper. Finding anything official for this actual Autobot toy was tricky, but I've done my best to craft a description of Bumper based on what little seemed to apply to him.

May 14th, 2025: I didn't really have anything written for the 'How' portion of Exobiology 101, which is the mechanical meat of the work. Since I'm waiting on all the tables from the Combination Character Cookbook to properly build out this, I can't proceed with this much, so I simply made sure the remaining text doesn't just stop at random, leaving whoever in the lurch.

May 13th, 2025: what do you know, I've already ran out of extant screeds in my Exobiology 101 placeholder documents. Though I suppose it's a placeholder no longer, for I have written the last portion of this work's extensive introductory mansplaining, entitled Why Did They Leave Home. Some of it feels like it belongs in Judging the Game, but then I did write that first.

May 12th, 2025: continuing to refine the mad scribblings I've posted on the placeholder Exobiology 101 document, I have tortured some May out of my fourth portion of the introduction, entitled Where Are They From? This is where you define the place your new alien character came from relative to the campaign setting itself. Are they from deep underground or another universe? Let's find out!

May 11th, 2025: the third portion of Exobiology 101's introduction, entitled When Did They Originate, is a tiny treatise on the relative temporal variances between characters. Is this alien from the campaign's here and now, or perhaps from the past and/or future? That's what I break down here, and I cleaned up the mad rambling I had for this previously. It's much better now.

May 10th, 2025: continuing on with a bit of effort towards Exobiology 101, I've pored over the second portion of the introductory text, the section entitled What Are They. You know, a basic breakdown of the different categories of alien one might encounter, ranging from otherwise normal people with odd physiologies and a weird nose ridge to completely bizarre conceptual entities!

May 9th 2025: what do you know, I'm working on Exobiology 101 today. I have reread everything I've pounded out for this chapter of the CASE thus far, and have cleaned up and finalized the text for the first section of the introduction, Who Are Their People. This is where players are given advice on how to make alien species alien, since you know, they're definitely not from down the street.

May 8th, 2025: I completed my work on the bashmu today, namely by wrapping up a Quick Action Resolution Deck variation on those legendary beasties. I've been a fan of these weird things for a very long time - even before I started officially researching them for the Ziggurati. I'm not sure which critters I'll be working on next, but this is a great start!

May 7th, 2025: still at it in my effort to ensure my extant Transformer descriptions are up to snuff, I've taken a gander at Skids today. Looks like I inexplicably bungled his QARD variation's Willpower and Eidetic Memory scores, since I believe I did direct conversions on him instead of using Transcribing Transformers' QARD rules. Boo.

May 6th, 2025: as he's one of my favorite Transformers, I enjoyed poring over what I'd written for Perceptor previously, and as far as I can tell I got all variations on this Autobot correct. Thus, all I had to do to get him up to snuff was update his Growth / Shrinking power description, getting it more in line with what I'm using for everyone else.

May 5th, 2025: continuing to work my way through the small roster of 1985 Autobots I've covered so far, I took a deep look at Hoist today. Seems what I wrote for him in the CASE is perfect. However, I bungled his Willpower in the QARD version, so I had to fix that. While it was only a minor thing, I'm glad I caught it before moving on to newer things.

May 4th, 2025: resuming my work to clear my extant Autobot character descriptions, I have pored over the text I wrote for all three variations on Cosmos. Seems I got him right on the money, which only left a few changes to standardize his abilities common to all Transformers, and to put the notes I put about his design in the appropriate spot.

May 3rd, 2025: though I thought the 1984 Autobots were done a long time ago, I continue working on these guys to this very day. Yay? This is because I have built a character description of the third and final Omnibot today, that being Overdrive, and he's something else. Just when you thought Sunstreaker was the most morally questionable Autobot, here comes this guy.

May 2nd, 2025: since I've got me a Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on the monstrous bashmu, it's time to fill out the roster! As such, I spent a bit fashioning a 4C System: Edition 13 variation on this theme. I'm still a bit out of practice with my character work, it seems, but I eventually managed to complete this effort.

May 1st, 2025: ah, May Day. Or whatever holiday today is supposed to be? I lose track of everything I'm supposed to celebrate with you silly humans. Anyway! Continuin gmy look at my existing Autobot character descriptions, I've refined and overhauled and fixed Blaster a bit today. I added the Mini-Con design note as a cautionary tale, but I still don't know what to do with thems.

April 30th, 2025: what do you know, I've almost completed my work overhauling my extant Autobot character descriptions! Well, the extant generation 1 Autobot descriptions, anyway, because I'm not ready to cover the Robots in Disguise buisness. Anyhow, I checked over Beachcomber's text today, and after fixing a few standard things, he is working as intended.

April 29th, 2025: the penultimate update I have to make to ensure my 1984 Autobot roster is both complete and accurate, I've pored over the text I'd written for Wheeljack. Since he seemed to be in order, mechanically speaking, I just had to update his text to ensure he's meeting the current standard. And now? Now I'm done updating extant 1984 Autobot descriptions.

April 28th, 2025: getting close to wrapping up my project to verify my 1984 Autobot character descriptions are up to snuff, I've given Trailbreaker a serious look today. He seemed to be perfectly fine, mechanically speaking, so all I had to do was upgrade his growth text with the new stuff I've devised, and add in his CASE variation's design notes.

April 27th, 2025: continuing on in my effort to finally be done with the 1984 Transformers once and for all, I've built the third and final of the Powerdashers I need to cover, him being Aragon! He didn't have a lot to work with, whether from tech specs or his actual toy, but I used everything I could get my hands on to make the best Aragon descriptions I could. Enjoy!

April 26th, 2025: since I'm not sure when I'll be able to resume work on the Combination Character Cookbook, I have tied up what I have done thus far with a nice, pretty bow. As soon as I have the time to assemble the Combination Process, I'll get back on this, either in full or in part, but for now at least the thing doesn't look like I'm noodling with it.

April 25th, 2025: on the final day of writing necessary for No Assembly Required, I've covered the last two combinations mentioned elsewhere: the technopsi and the thaumentalist. I found myself struggling somewhat with the verbiage again, not wanting to just lift such from elsewhere, but in the end I think I made a decent showing of these last two capsule things. Hooray!

April 24th, 2025: why hello there! We're on day three of our writing for No Assembly Required, which will see me writing capsule descriptions of two more combinations: the Psychoturge and the Technomancer! Trying to say something original about these that I haven't already isn't easy, but luckily we're just talking about a paragraph or so, so this wasn't too difficult.

April 23rd, 2025: keepin' on with the Combination Character Cookbook's text, I've built capsule descriptions of two more combinations today: the Jack of All Trades and the Numenplyer. Of course, Jacks are an all-new thing, unique to the CCC, but they're basically the 'kitchen sink' origin that tends to ignore all the careful separation I built between different power sources.

April 22nd, 2025: oh look, I already tapped out most of what I'd previously written for the CCC. Curses! Since I've already managed that, I've begun work on the second chapter of that work, No Assembly Required. This will feature capsule descriptions of and instructions to generate combinations prominent in the rest of the CASE, starting with Clerics and Deionicists.

April 21st, 2025: since I've been fiddling around with the introduction text for my Combination Character Cookbook, I decided to revise that business hard and finalize (ha ha) what I've written for that portion of the book so far. It wasn't too bad, mind you, but now it properly sets the stage for the text to come. Sometimes I have to sit on this stuff to get it just right.

April 20th, 2025: since I've revised my description of Teshub, and I have added a whole entreaty spell to him revolving around his bashmu, I went ahead and did a whole lot of research. With that, I managed to craft the Costumed Adventurer Simulation Engine variation on bashmu, my first divine monster description. Proabably a bit of a surprise for y'all, but here you go!

April 19th, 2025: wrapping up another gaggle of Transformer revisions, I've given my work on Sunstreaker a second pass today. He was primarily good, only needing a few stylistic upgrades to make him perfect, so that's what I did. I'm revising how I list growth on all of these jokers, you see, because their very size is a really weird quality of these robots.

April 18th, 2025: oh look, I'm running out of 1984 Autobots whose descriptions need a second pass. Today's effort involves Sideswipe, and this fella was pretty much on the money. I just had to fine tune the verbiage a bit, since I'd tweaked how I'm accounting for size on these guys, but mechanically he was the same. So yeah, I just made his text perfect. Perfect!

April 17th, 2025: still banging away at what's left to sort out in my 1984 Autobot roster, I've checked over what I wrote for Ratchet before I finalized my Transcribing Transformers process. Oh, and I swapped Ratchet's Fighting and Agility scores, like I did with Pereptor, because neither of these guys are brawlers, much less Unearthly rank brawlers.

April 16th, 2025: resuming my effort to ensure my extant Transformer descriptions lack anachronisms from when I was tinkering with the process, I overhauled what I wrote for Prowl today. Seems I gave him too much firepower, so I reduced that as far as was sensible, and fine-tuned his vehicular characteristics to make him more accurate than it was before.

April 15th, 2025: continuing to bang away at these newly-outstanding 1984 Autobot character descriptions, I have lovingly crafted Downshift for all y'all! This war-weary old 'Bot wishes he could stop fighting, but sadly knows he cannot lest his enemies destroy all that is good in life. And lately, Downshift only finds good on his new home of earth, which he enjoys exploring.

April 14th, 2025: not just wanting to monkey around with old Transformers character descriptions, I took some time out today to fiddle with an old Myths and Legends one. I revised Teshub today, since I've been researching him and his equivalents further, and have incorporated even more names he was known as over the years, including in Canaan - where he also fought Enlil.

April 13th, 2025: I've completed another round of checks through the previous products of my Transcribing Transformers work, this time taking a look at Windcharger! Somehow I critically bungled his Fighting score, which was 3 CS higher than it ought to be, and I also had some problem with his magnetism. Since I didn't leave notes as to why I changed those, I fixed 'em.

April 12th, 2025: today's foray into old Transformers descriptions has seen me take a peek at what I'd previously written for Optimus Prime! Despite the added hiccup of him being the bearer of the Matrix, Optimus Prime's description was oddly spot-on. I only had to fine tune the grammar on his descriptions a bit, since a few sentences were a bit kludgy.

April 11th, 2025: continuing my effort to ensure those Transformers character descriptions I've chosen to make actually line up with the text in Transcribing Transformers, I've reviewed what I wrote for Mirage today. It seems I opted to give Mirage a bit too much firepower for his dart rifle, so I toggled that back a bit, but he was otherwise good.

April 10th, 2025: getting back around to my Transformers work after a year or two or whatever, I am currently revisiting an older description to ensure I built it right. And I didn't! Thus, I've revised Jazz's Popularity/Repute, along with how his sound generation works. It didn't fit anywhere in my Transcribing process, but now it does.

April 9th, 2025: what do you know, it's the beginning of Technohol 13: Year 28! As always, I took time out of this busy day to roll everything on the 13 over from the last year to this year, which didn't take too much since I'm still using the same Updates document as year twenty-six and twenty-seven. But you know, things needed doing, so I did them.

On top of that, wanting to build out another new Transformer description, I've turned my eye towards the one and only Cromar! According to the tech spec cards I finally found, he's similar to Zetar in his general origin - which is to be expected. I gave him a slightly different spin, though, especially once I found he fit well with the likes of Cosmos.
