Origin:
Muro is something of a polymath, a jack of all trades. He makes use of both science and sorcery to commit his various crimes. Though he has yet to combine the two, as would a technomage, Muro is just the kind of man to eventually make such a leap and develop that brand of wizardry.
Powers:
Schooling: Disciple / Eclectic Magic:
Supplementing his knowledge of the conventional world, Muro has also demonstrated at least some mastery of magic. While he's nowhere near the magician that Monako, his arch-nemesis, is, Muro has a few tricks that he can make use of. He has wielded these spells in the past:
Extend (d) (i): either as its own spell or a stunt off of his transformation spell, Muro may transmute others as he, himself changes. This means that Muro can transform others into a green mist when he does (as a sort of all or nothing change), with intensity 9 skill.
Transformation / Self (p) (a): Muro has the power to transform his very body into another substance! Working at intensity 12 ability, he can change into an eerie cloud of green mist, much like a vampire can, gaining +2 damage reduction versus physical attack in the process.
Hindrances / Augmentations:
Addiction / Nicotine: an unrepentant chain smoker, Muro almost always has a cigarette (or at least a cigarette holder) in hand. Every day he goes without a fix, Muro will find his ability scores and power intensities reduced to zero (0) when attempting actions.
Dulled Sense / Vision: while he has considerable powers in the realms of sorcery as well as those of science, Muro's own body betrays him here and there. His vision is lousy, hence his round-rimmed glasses, and he makes actions based on that sense at an increased difficulty.
Equipment:
Airplane (i): Muro makes use of an aircraft that he has equipped with 'super-motors' for bursts of +1 speed. It is unknown whether he developed or stole the technology for these speed bursts, but either way, his aerial vehicle normally flies with intensity 7 (300 MPH) alacrity.
Explosives (i): an explosives aficionado, Muro makes use of a wide variety of bombs and other munitions - and is always seeking more. He can usually rig up an explosion of at least intensity 13 with little work, inflicting fragmentary slashing damage with each blast.
Knockout Drugs (s): to shut down his victims for easy transport, Muro often makes use of a powerful sedative. Whether of his own design or acquired 'off the shelf', this drug can sedate those it is injected within with intensity 12 ability.
Skills:
Chemistry (i): Muro seems to know a thing or two about chemicals. He knows of the latest advances in both explosives and drugs, and makes use of each to further his plans. He may attempt Intellect actions related to chemical knowledge at a reduced difficulty.
Languages / English and Spanish (i): a native of Argentina, Muro can naturally wield the Spanish language fluently, and has demonstrated his mastery of English as well. Though purported to be of Asian heritage, he has yet to showcase any such language as of yet.
Lore (i): in addition to studying conventional sciences, Muro has taken to mastering occult secrets as well. In addition to the spells he has demonstrated thus far, Muro has the benefit of a reduced difficulty when attempting related knowledge actions.
Contacts:
Muro seemingly has numerous criminal contacts throughout the world, for he can readily assemble a crew of minions no matter where he goes. He may also have occult contacts as well, unless it truly is Monako from whom he stole his magical knowledge.
Calling:
World Domination: there's no two bones about it, Muro wants to conquer the world - or at least part of it. He plots and schemes and commits various crimes to this end, even if we don't know why he wishes to rule. But more than anything else, that's what drives Muro to commit evil!
Costume:
While going about his business, Muro wears proper business attire. This most often consists of a navy blue sport coat over a white collared shirt, blue trousers, black leather shoes, a striped tie, and a brown bowler hat. Because bowler hats are cool.
Personality:
Muro is a vile cad who believes that he should be ruling the world - or at least, all of the Pacific Rim. He has no problem using any tactics, ranging from thievery to outright murder, to achieve his goals, and is ready to do whatever it takes to get what he wants.

Story:
Much of Muro's past is shrouded in mystery. While he hails from South America, and aims to conquer the world, the root of his motives are as of yet unknown. But Muro is known to fear no source of power, no matter how obscure or esoteric, as long as it furthers his aims.
To this end, Muro has extensively studied science and sorcery, and has developed several useful tools using each. However, this reckless use of magic has raised the ire of Monako, the so-called Prince of Magic, who feels that Muro has stolen magical secrets from him.
And perhaps he has, for Monako bears considerable ill will towards Muro, and hunts him relentlessly. This hunt was helped when Muro blundered right into Monako himself, while attempting to abduct the sister of Al Nottington, who possessed knowledge of a supposed super-explosive.
Wanting that knowledge, and bent on acquiring it at all costs, Muro escaped Monako when he rescued Al's sister, Josie. Racing to Al's home, Muro had his thugs rough the man up, and then drugged him to drag him off. But as it turned out, Monako was in hot pursuit!
Fleeing to his secret headquarters, whose walls and doors were proof against sorcery, Muro chained Al up, and prepared to torture him for his secrets. When that meddler Monako broke in by sneaking through Muro's keyhole, Muro then captured and chained Monako up, as well.
Although he beat Al for hours, Muro could not get the inventor to talk, and Monako helped him to escape. His plans ruined, Muro tried to at least kill Josie by blowing her up in his villainous tug boat, but Monako and Al managed to free her moments before the ship exploded.
Eluding Monako for a time, Muro happened upon that mystical do-gooder again when attempting to seize Panama defense plans from that pesky Josie Nottington. While Monako roughed his thugs up with sorcery, Muro was able to seize the plans and flee to his waiting aircraft.
As it turned out, Muro dropped some of his own papers in the scuffle, papers which revealed the location of his lair to Monako! Thus, Monako knew where to find Muro, and intercepted him in the air with a borrowed plane, finally downing him with his terrible magics.
Muro turned the tables on Monako on the ground, however, and stole his own aircraft. Monako wasn't going to stand for this, though, and grew to immense size. Seizing his borrowed plane, Monako tried to fish Muro and his minion, Tashu, out of the vehicle, but Muro escaped again!
Wielding his ill-gotten sorcery, Muro transformed himself and Tashu into an eerie green mist, and flew off to greener pastures. Or so it seemed, at least, for Muro has not been seen since. Whether he reduced his ambitions or was finally dealt with by Monako remains to be revealed.
