Origin:

Like his fellow Autobots, not counting a few oddities from Nebulos, Powerglide is an inorganic entity hailing from Cybertron. An expert in aerial combat, Powerglide is equipped with the standard abilities of his species, not to mention several additional, unique powers!

Known Powers:

Cybertronian Physique: hailing from the alien world of Cybertron, Powerglide is one of its dominant life forms: the Transformers! As it does for most of his fellows Cybertronians, Powerglide's electromechanical physiology grants him several special capabilities, including:

* Body Armor: whether he formed naturally or was constructed by others, Powerglide's very body is comprised of primarily metallic substances. As such, Powerglide enjoys rank value 10 protection from injury, a defense which breaks down as follows:

RV 10 / RV 4 / RV 0 / RV 0 / RV 0

* Growth and Shrinking: Transformers come in various sizes, the species generally scoffing at the idea of a conventional volume. Powerglide is a good example of this, standing twelve feet tall in his humanoid configuration, thus benefiting from rank value 4 growth.

This aerial combatant thus has a +1 size factor. This means he suffers a -1 RS penalty when targeting human sized foes, but inflicts +1 RS damage against them. Conversely, human-sized foes assaulting him do so under the reverse of those modifiers.

When he transforms into his vehicular mode, Powerglide slightly swells in size to simulate his Warthog mode. However, he grows more if he's carrying passengers larger than human beings, which he often does as he is used to ferry his fellow Autobots about with some frequency.

Dynamic volume shifts like this enable Transformers to interact with beings of differing sizes without further modifications being required of them. This ultimately allows Transformers like Powerglide to contain, wield, or ride within their fellows seamlessly.

* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: all Transformers have the ability to alter their visual sensitivity where distance is concerned. Functioning at rank value 2, these powers let Powerglide see objects up to a mile distant with ease, as well as allowing him to read items on microfiche.

* Radio Transceiver: as are most Transformers, Powerglide is equipped with an audio / video transmission system. This communications rig allows him instant contact with any other Cybertronian within a wide radius of his person, having rank value 20 range (100 miles).

* Resistance / Invulnerability to Disease and Poison: taking his alien physiology and composition into account, Powerglide is naturally immune to carbon-based disease and poisons. He also possesses rank value 100 resistance to more chemically creative forms of disease.

Flight: his favorite power, Powerglide can fly! He can normally maintain a cruising speed of 500 MPH, giving him this power at rank value 100. Combined with his uncanny agility in the air, this ability allows Powerglide to run rings around friend and foe alike.

Heat Generation: while a normal Warthog fires bullets from its chin gun, Powerglide can instead issue forth bursts of intense heat from his! These massive blasts of thermal energy can inflict rank value 20 SD Energy damage upon his foes with every deadly attack.

Power Boost: while Powerglide can normally fly at 'only' 500 MPH, he can temporarily bolster his speed dramatically. When activated, his flight boost can crank his aerial speed up to 3,200 MPH, a +4 RS boost that lasts for 1d10 turns - and allows for truly insane maneuvers.

Shape Change: like all Transformers, Powerglide can transform between at least two different forms at will! He can transition between his humanoid and his A-10 Thunderbolt II, or Warthog, configurations in seconds, and has these capabilities in his vehicle mode:

Handling
RV 50
Velocity
RV 50
Durability
RV 40
Protection
RV 20

Limitations / Enhancements:

(none)

Equipment:

Concussion Bombs: in his Warthog mode, Powerglide has access to two concussion bombs, projectiles he can drop directly on foes from above. These ostensibly nonlethal weapons can inflict rank value 20 Force damage to everyone within six sectors of where they detonate.

Quirks:

(none)

Skills:

Aerial Combat: as his function in the Autobot army sees him combatting Decepticon planes, something he relishes doing at each opportunity, Powerglide is adept in fighting while airborne. In the air, he may attempt all combat ACTIONs at a +1 RS to the applicable trait.

Contacts:

One of many Autobot warriors, Powerglide can readily rely upon that group for aid should he need it. The Autobots generally care about the well-being of their fellows, after all, and many Autobot missions would otherwise be impossible without his presence and/or assistance.

Likeness:

In either of his configurations, Powerglide is primarily made from a striking red metal. As a Warthog, he features chromed concussion bombs, but is otherwise red. As a humanoid, he appears to be built from red Warthog parts, with a chromed face, upper legs, and arms.

Personality:

Powerglide loves to fly. He relishes every opportunity to get out of the house and go on a jaunt, even if he's just ferrying an Autobot or two from there to a mission. The problem with Powerglide, though, is that he's very, very good at aerial maneuvers. Too good, really.

This primarily causes Powerglide to constantly spout off about his skills in the skies, eventually prompting his fellows to roll their eyes as he talks himself up, but it occasionally prompts him to get into more serious trouble - not just from unscheduled landings.

While he's quite the acrobat in flight, Powerglide's overconfidence regularly sees him facing off against multiple Decepticon jets. He can readily hold his own in a dogfight, to be sure, but the simple truth is that he's usually outnumbered during these engagements.

But then, Powerglide loves to remind folks that if the job was easy, even they could do it. If they could fly. But they can't. Because they're not him.

Real Name: Powerglide

Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Powerglide is made from a mainly red metal, regardless of his current form. Whether he's a Warthog A-10 or a humanoid robot that looks like he was built from the miniaturized parts of one, his primary color is red.

He only varies in that his concussion bombs, his upper legs, his arms, and his face (including his face plate) are chromed. And his eyes are blue.
