Origin:
Slag is one of the Transformers, shape-changing electromechanical life forms hailing from the planet Cybertron. This strange world, a variable and unknown distance from our own, is the harsh crucible that birthed Slag, and is responsible for his amazing abilities.
Powers:
Cybertronian Physique: unlike most creatures walking the face of the world, Slag is an inorganic being. A silicon-based entity, Slag is seemingly robotic in nature, and his various life functions combine to provide him these super-human capabilities:
* Body Armor (s): formed or forged from primarily metallic materials, Slag is considerably durable. His sturdy, inorganic composition affords Slag intensity 8, or +2, protection from attack, enough to help him ignore most human assaults.
* Growth and Shrinking (a): size is something of a quandary where Transformers are concerned, seemingly changing on the fly as is needed. These abilities assist in showcasing this tendency, and in his basic, humanoid state, Slag stands at around twenty-four foot tall.
He thus possesses semi-permanent growth at intensity 6. This gives Slag a +6 size factor, which inflicts a -6 penalty when trying to hit human-sized targets, but bolsters any damage he inflicts against them by +6. Humans assaulting him reverse these combat modifiers.
When he transforms into his triceratops form, Slag doesn't seem to appreciably change volume any. However, like all Transformers, Slag's size does occasionally seem to slide up and down depending on whether or not he's riding within someone like Jetfire or Omega Supreme.
* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision (w): like all Transformers, Slag can adjust his visual sensitivity to account for extreme scales of distance. He has these abilities at intensity 2, letting him either spy objects miles away, or read microscopic print or etching, with ease.
* Radio Transceiver (i): helping him communicate with his fellows easily, Slag has an inherent radio transceiver. This technology lets him send and receive radio signals with intensity 7 ability, maintaining contact within one hundred miles of his location.
* Resistance / Invulnerability to Disease and Poison (s): being a silicon-based life form, Slag is an inorganic entity. Immunizing him from carbon-based disease and poison, this trait only gives him intensity 30, or +7 resliiance against other varieties of these threats.
Fire Generation (a): his absolute favorite power, Slag has the ability to breathe fire! In his triceratops mode, he can emit a vicious blast of fire at his foes, one which he can use to inflict intensity 14 SD energy damage upon each turn of exposure.
Horns (s): when he isn't melting foes with his fire breath, Slag often charges right into - and through - them. His entire head is hardened as are his three signature horns, having an MS of 20, and he can use these in melee to inflict his Strength +2 in slashing damage.
Missile Launcher (i): inherent to Slag's very body are two missile launchers! Shoulder-mounted in both his humanoid and his triceratops modes, the missiles Slag can fire from this weapon inflict intensity 10 damage, raised by +1 if he can hit with both at once:
Shape Change (a): like all of his fellow Transformers, Slag has the ability to Transform! Thanks to this ability, Slag can shift between a humanoid and a triceratops mode at will. He does this often in battle, to maximize the use of his various weaponry.
Hindrances / Augmentations:
(none)
Equipment:
Electron Cannon (a): though he doesn't need it much, Slag possesses an electron cannon, a directed energy rifle that can cast electrons at his foes! He can fire this weapon to inflict intensity 6 energy damage per deadly burst, often stunning his foes to great advantage.
Energo-Sword (s): his principal weapon in his humanoid configuration, Slag's blade can wreathe itself in a mighty power field. This allows him to inflict his Strength +5 in energy damage when wielding it in melee combat, making it especially dangerous in his hands.
Skills:
(none)
Contacts:
Slag is an Autobot! Mind you, most of his fellow the Autobots would be happy to see Slag melt himself, and likely wouldn't go out of their way to help him, but he's nonetheless on the team. His fellow Dinobots tolerate Slag more, but even that friendship is somewhat strained
Calling:
Demolisher, sometimes Outcast: determining a motivation for Slag's actions is difficult, because Slag doesn't seem to have motivations. His actions make him an outcast, while destroying things seems to be a distraction, albeit one he frequently indulges in.
Likeness:
Slag is a giant, parimarily metallic gray mechanoid regardless of his current configuration. He can take a humanoid or a triceratops form as he sees fit, usually lingering in the latter. He did adopt a bit of red, here and there, in a nod to his fellows' color scheme, though.
Personality:
Slag is an unrepentant sociopath, feeling no attachment to anyone or anything. A misanthrope with zero filter, he's constantly pushing the buttons of everyone around him. And he doesn't do this because he likes to bother others, it's just that he doesn't perceive 'feelings'.
Considerably unpleasant to be around, Slag's only seeming friends are the Dinobots, who he inexplicably lingers amongst. And even they only barely tolerate Slag's violent shenanigans, him often being the origin point of the numerous brawls they regularly engage in.
But tolerate him they do, as do his fellow Autobots - even if only in the technical sense. This is because Slag could become a Decepticon easily enough, and the Autobots would rather have his flamethrower pointing away from them. You know, a bit more often than it is already.
