Origin:

As do most of the Transformers, Ransack hails from the alien planet of Cybertron! Having come into being on this metal-heavy rogue world, Ransack has several special abilities that define his physical existence, as well as some super-human capabilities unique to his configuration!

Known Powers:

Cybertronian Physique: drifting through the cosmos in our galactic neighborhood, Cybertron is a dense, metallic world starkly different from our own. As a native of this strange planet, Ransack has numerous powers common to his fellow Cybertronians, such as:

* Body Armor: whether he was formed or forged from assorted inorganic substances, Ransack is kind of durable. His bulk and dense, primarily metallic composition grants Ransack rank value 10 protection against assault, a defense which affects incoming damage as follows:

RV 10 / RV 4 / RV 0 / RV 0 / RV 0

* Growth / Shrinking: in his humanoid configuration, Ransack is twelve foot tall, which gives him a size factor of +1. When he transforms, Ransack can remain at the same approximate volume if he wishes. This is handy when wielding his various powers in combat.

However, Ransack can also shrink to the size of an average locust. When at such a small volume, Ransack is but two and a half inches long, which gives him an effective size factor of -5. Of course, he's usually so loud that stealth isn't much of a consideration at this size.

* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: Ransack's optics benefit from both of these powers, each of which functions with rank value 2 prowess. The former of these is especially useful when Ransack is at his minimum volume, as its ultimate magnification is bolstered considerably.

* Radio Transceiver: Transformers are often active in areas that lack a conventional atmosphere, such as the depths of space. As such, they all utilize an inherent radiowave transceiver that functions with rank value 20 ability, having a maximum radio range of 100 miles.

* Resistance / Invulnerability to Disease and Poison: despite his alternate mode, Ransack has no organic components to speak of. He benefits from complete immunity to carbon-based disease and toxins, reduced to rank value 100 against other forms of plague and poison.

Additional Limbs: in his locust configuration, Ransack possesses six legs. Ransack can use them to run fast, raising the speed and duration when doing so as if the base determinant of each was +1 RS in value. He cannot use them to delicately manipulate objects, however.

Body Doubles (cartoon variant): when three Insecticons pool their abilities, they can each create perfect copies of themselves. Given enough matter and energy of the appropriate type, Insecticons can use this rank value 20 power to make up to twenty more of themselves.

Buzzsaws: on each of his arms in his humanoid configuration, Ransack has a razor-sharp talon. He can spin these personal weapons at up to 300 rotations per minute, allowing them to be used in melee combat to inflict his Brawn value rank +1 RS in Slashing damage.

Electricity Generation: while in his locust mode, Ransack's antennae can discharge vast amounts of electrical energy, typically in the form of a powerful lightning bolt. Each blast he emits with this ability allows him to inflict rank value 50 Stunning Energy damage on impact.

Shape Change: his most infamous ability, Ransack has the power to transform at will between his humanoid and locust configurations. When he assumes the form of a locust, Ransack unlocks numerous special abilities he can wield against others.

Super Jumping: Ransack has incredibly powerful legs. As a locust, he can leap with rank value 5000 ability, clearing 200 feet in his diminutive size or over a mile and a half when at his full volume. This greatly extends the range of Ransack's flight when he deploys his wings.

However, possessing incredibly powerful leaping ability requires incredibly delicate systems. Should any grit find its way into the joints of Ransack's legs, he will find himself unable to bound about until he clears it from his intricate hopping mechanisms.

Vibration Generation: by rubbing his rear legs together, Ransack can produce a staggering amount of vibrational energy. Functioning at rank value 50, this power lets him destroy most structures or vehicles in his vicinity - and he deploys this ability with high frequency.

Wings: whether used to augment his leaping or not, Ransack possesses powerful wings with which he can fly. He may do so with rank value 2 ability, but if he combines this with his leaping he can mostly glide to his destination, saving energy and avoiding mechanical stresses.

Limitations / Enhancements:

(none)

Equipment:

Concussion Blaster: since most of his energy assaults are only usable in his locust configuration, Ransack carries this weapon for combat use in his humanoid mode. He can fire powerful bursts of coherent energy from it that inflict rank value 50 Force damage each.

Reflector Shield: made from MV 75 materials, this shield is a potent defense due to the materials used to build it alone. However, it is also equipped with a deflection field that provides it, and by extension Ransack, the turnabout power at rank value 20.

Skills:

(none)

Contacts:

Ransack is popular amongst his fellow Decepticons. This is not because he's remotely likable, mind you, but because he's so brutal in battle. While they don't associate with him outside of missions, his fellows readily consider Ransack a reliable contact - despite the occasional friendly fire.

Likeness:

In both of his configurations, Ransack appears to be a mechanoid built from black and yellow metal, complete with red eyes. He reserves black for his chest/thorax, wrists, and ankles, and yellow for his hands, feet, and upper limbs, regardless of which mode he currently maintains.

Personality:

Ransack is a terror in the field. He pursues the goals of his current mission with overwhelming force, and will put anyone and anything that gets in his way under the gun. This can be valuable machinery, innocent bystanders, or even his fellow Decepticons when necessary!

While he couches his violence in duty, the truth is that Ransack craves mayhem above all else. He can be depended on for scorched earth campaigns as he happily wrecks anyone and anything foolish enough to cross his path, but achieving mission goals is secondary to Ransack.

Luckily for him, Ransack usually succeeds in the missions given him because his superiors know not to give him delicate work.
