Origin:

As do most of the Transformers, Scavenger hails from the alien planet of Cybertron! Having come into being on this metal-heavy rogue world, Scavenger has several special abilities that define his physical existence, as well as some super-human capabilities unique to his configuration!

Known Powers:

Cybertronian Physique: drifting through the cosmos in our galactic neighborhood, Cybertron is a dense, metallic world starkly different from our own. As a native of this strange planet, Scavenger has numerous powers common to his fellow Cybertronians, such as:

* Body Armor: like all of the Constructicons, Scavenger is built tough. Possessing a dense body comprised of inorganic substances, Scavenger benefits from rank value 20 protection from injury, an inherent form of body armor that can be represented as follows:

RV 20 / RV 6 / RV 2 / RV 0 / RV 0

* Growth / Shrinking: as do his fellow Constructicons, Scavenger stands at fifteen foot tall in his humanoid configuration, giving him rank value 6 growth as a general means of describing his volume. This grants him a size factor of +1 in relation to normal humans.

Scavenger swells in volume when he transforms into his Komatsu PC200-1 excavator configuration, however. Having a length of just over thirty feet, this gives Scavenger a +1 RS to his humanoid-mode growth value, though his vehicular characteristics take his size into account.

* Microscopic / Telescopic Vision: a wide-ranging visual acuity is common to the Transformers. They posses both microscopic and telescopic vision at rank value 2, allowing them to see objects farther, and far smaller, than mere fleshlings are able to.

* Radio Transceiver: while Transformers do have a sense of hearing, and readily communicate verbally, they often range far afield from their fellows. They thus make use of a rank value 20 radio transcevier, one with an optimistic maximum range of one hundred miles.

* Resistance / Invulnerability to Disease and Poison: Scavenger is an entirely inorganic being, having been born to an electromechanical species long ago. He's immune to carbon-based plague and poison, and has rank value 100 resistance to other forms of disease and toxins.

Corporeal Gestalt: one of the six Constructicons, Scavenger can naturally merge his form with that of his fellows to form Devastator! The Constructicons all possess this power at rank value 10, giving them reasonable cohesion as this terrifying gestalt entity.

Power Shovel: outside of helping to form Devastator, Scavenger's power shovel is perhaps his sole saving grace amongst the Constructicons. It allows him to dig with rank value 40 ability, churning up the earth beneath him in his eternal quest for useful materials.

Scavenger need not dig blindly, however. His power shovel is equipped with sensors that provide him similarly strong atomic sense, energy sense, and sonar sense powers, allowing him to detect power sources, useful substances, and more within middle distance (two miles) of his person.

Rocket Launcher: when he transforms into his Komatsu PC200-1 excavator mode, Scavenger unlocks the use of this powerful weapon. It can launch projectiles that allow Scavenger to reach out and touch his foes at a distance, rocket-propelled devices that function as follows:

Handling
RV 10
Velocity
RV 50
Durability
RV 20
Damage
RV 30 Slashing (fragmentary)

Shape Change: by far his most well-known ability, Scavenger can transform between several different configurations. He can stand as a humanoid, pose as Devastator's right arm, and reconfigure himself into a Komatsu PC200-1 excavator with these characteristics:

Handling
RV 40
Velocity
RV 6
Durability
RV 30
Protection
RV 20

Limitations / Enhancements:

(none)

Equipment:

Laser Pistol: as he lacks inherent weaponry in his humanoid configuration, Scavenger carries a laser pistol with him at all times. He can fire a coherent photon beam from this weapon to inflict rank value 10 Armor Piercing Energy damage with every deadly assault.

Quirks:

(none)

Skills:

(none)

Contacts:

Scavenger can generally consider the other five Constructicons, as well as the Decepticons overall, reliable contacts. Yeah, most of the Constructicons look down on Scavenger, but he is occasionally useful and helps them to form Devastator, so they tolerate him. Mostly.

Likeness:

Regardless of his current configuration, Scavenger is a large electomechanical being constructed from bright green and dark purple parts. Unlike most of the other Constructicons, Scavenger divvies these colors up by half in all of his various modes.

Personality:

Scavenger is dim-witted and unskilled, a combination that makes him feel wholly inadequate as a Constructicon. He desperately wishes to pull his weight, to feel like a contributing member of the team, which prompts him to incessantly dig for even the tiniest useful scrap of material.

Not only does this tax his power shovel mechanically, but it vexes his fellow Decepticons. Scavenger's constant quest for approval and praise rankles the evil Cybertronians to no end, and only the fact that he's actually useful now and then has spared him from their wrath.

His Komatsu PC200-1 excavator form is mainly bright green, with dark purple treads. His humanoid mode has a bright green upper body and dark purple lower body. As Devastator's right arm, his shoulder component and lower arm is dark purple, while the rest is bright green.
